Speaker phone volume and mic? - T-Mobile LG G2x

I've noticed that the speaker phone volume is not has high as my previous phones. Also, when talking to someone on speaker they have a hard time hearing me. I have to talk close to the phone for them to hear me clearly.
In the past with my Galaxy S 4G, I had no issue with them hearing me or my speaker volume...
Is there anyway to adjust this past its max volume setting?

I have found that when connected to the mobile network, 2g/3g/4g (or whatever other G's decide to pop-up) the incoming and outgoing volume are much greater than when connected to the Wifi calling. The G2x is actually quite loud for me on both speaker and handset modes.
Are you using the Wifi calling or the normal network?

It's not just on the speakerphone. I've used a couple of audio recording apps, and in both of them if I speak in a normal tone of voice with the phone 2-3 feet away, I can barely hear myself in the playback. I'm think there must be a system-wide gain setting that is set incorrectly, but I haven't managed to find it. (Either that or the microphone is just plain awful.)

Google Voice play back volume low

I believe I've always had this issue on all three of my Android phones. When I go into Google Voice to play back my messages, the volume is always on max, but the playback is still very low. Across all phones (two captivates and a cliq), volume is low regardless of ear-piece or speaker.
Is there any way to increase this volume?
Thank you to all the ultra wise for all your assistance and hard work to make android what it is today.
The Google Voice default is to playback through earphone rather than speaker phone. Hold the phone to your ear or change it to playback through speaker phone.

Yes I know this. As I explained above, the volume is low when played back through ANY speaker on the phone. This could be indicative of a software limit on the app maybe...
The volume is so low that unless I'm in an almost silent environment, its difficult to hear anything. The transcriptions aren't quite helpful just yet, but I've noticed them getting better.
I had this problem today. The message was SO quiet that I could not make out what my friend was saying.
Google Voice needs a few tweaks, like the option to switch to speaker on the fly.

I understand you wouldn't want to set it to playback on the speaker by default, but if you hit the button to the right of the seek bar while its playing, it switches to the speaker phone. Still a bit difficult to hear. even if you put it directly on your ear.
I would say one of the best things about this phone is that you can hit speaker phone and flip it over and use it as a regular phone. That way you have a SUPER loud ear-peace. Good for clubs/concerts/loud places... but not loud enough for my damn messages

Earpiece speaker volume too low when playing audio clips

Hi everyone. I'm new to this forum.
I have a stock Moto G 2015 2/16 GB version.
I've always had a problem with it: when I try to play an audio clip in Telegram or Whatsapp through the earpiece speaker, by pulling the phone up to my ear, the volume is just too low. It's all right if I'm in a quiet room, but as soon as there's even modest noise around, I can't hear anything. I can use the volume keys to adjust it, but it turns out I'm already at the highest setting and it's definitely not enough.
Conversely, when I use that same speaker during a phone call I can hear fine, even in a noisier room.
I'm running Android 6 at the moment but, as I said, I've had this problem since the beginning, when my phone still ran 5.x.
Thanks for any suggestions.
I actually have the opposite issue.
xt1540 2/16 6.0 stock not-rooted, bootloader unlocked
Music audio, notification tones (bells, beeps, whistles) are fine and loud
Phone calls volume is very low.
I've tried...when call starts down the volume then back up...no go
Move back to 5.1.1, still same issue.
Tried removing LCD to get ear screen out of the way...still issue persists.

I replaced the ear speaker, still low audio during calls. I forgot to describe when call is placed in speakerphone mode, the audio is fine albeit slightly distorted on high volume.
** comment ** I have a Lumia 640 LTE, (SD410) call volume in earspeaker is loud where I have to turn it down a couple clicks. And I've had people tell me that on their end my voice comes through same if not better than a corded landline. (using the same SIM that was used in the G3).
squid kernel screws the speaker while calling, make calls louder
Looks like it's an issue with a lot brand/model phones.
Something about mixer_paths.xml and "RX1 Digital Volume" needs to be changed.
So I'm guessing all the manufacturers are really lazy in tuning their Android smartphones to perform best for it's primary function, being a phone. Well, for that matter, overall sound quality with all the mic's and speakers.

Thank You hp420
I haven't tried it yet, but when I do I'm sure my G3 will be usable. And thanks again for taking the time and testing/providing different volume level versions of mix_paths.xml.

Update: I've tried the modified mixer_paths.xml, only marginal success. Possibly have a damaged speaker.

Distorded voice calls

Hi,
I have been noticing that my phone calls are nowhere near clear.
When I call someone, the dialing tone is very distorted and the voice/sound from the other person is crackling and lot.
Is there some adjustments I can do?
I already tried to wipe cache, decrease the call volume to almost the minimum and change the network to 3G/2G and remain the same
Hellllpppppp!
Heelloooooooo
Sorth about that. I don't even know what is this...
Imagine for example a car speaker when is not good the sound looks like is full of static crackling a lot. Not clear.
That bad sound you get when the sound is extremely loud.
This is how my phone is and my calls volume is set to the minimum possible
Took the phone to a Samsung Service Centre and they confirmed the issue and the call speaker needs to be replaced.

phone call sound problems

This is a rooted nexus 5 using lineageos 14.1 (based on nougat) and I'm having sound problems only during phone calls.
The party I call cannot hear me (I can hear them) unless I turn speaker on. Then they can hear me but the sound is garbled and they hear reverberation picking up their own voices back.
Searching for a solution on the web I found
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=TxCUKLhMNBM
I changed the build prop they recommended to false and now the other party can hear me fine on (non-speaker) phone calls. ?
But, I still have a problem if I turn my speaker on. When I do that the microphone picks up ambient noise and the other party hears their own conversation back as garbled double sound. If anyone knows how to fix this I would be grateful.
Ideas?
Nobody has any idea how to prevent the mic from picking up and transmitting the phone speaker sound when on speaker phone?
My wife's identical nexus 5 doesn't do this when it's on speaker phone.

Low in-call ear volume; people cannot hear me when using speakerphone

Since May or so, possibly since the May update(I saw another thread about this), I've had incredibly low in call volume unless using speakerphone, headphones, or bluetooth. Even after updating to P.
At the same time, when I use speakerphone, no one can hear me in a call or understand me. However, if using whatsapp or something like that and recording myself, I sound fine on playback.
Any ideas?
