Do we still have to register?
Just wanted to point out that the popular Plex app is on sale on the Amazon market today from 4.99 to 1.99.
I picked this app up today because it was on sale... and I have to say it is insanely good. You guys with large media collections on your PC's are going to want to check this out.
I use Google music and audiogalaxy.
how is this different?
With Plex you can stream your movie/tv collection directly to your tablet/phone.

Local network or remote as well?
Is it better than Skifta? I just installed the free beta and it works like a charm. I do wonder what they will charge for it once it's out of beta.
Does Plex let you choose the player?
I read the description and you need to have a PC running their software. I think I'll stick with Skifta as it uses DLNA server on my NAS, no computer necessary.

I once saw a mobile tv app on my friends tab7 but he didn't know how he got it, though it work by opening one channel locally.
is there a way I can watch local tv on my note....I have Sony home theater with debt and free to air dish....mounted outside...is there a way I can pick up signals or is there an hardware I can buy to turn my note to a tv tunnel and be able to watch local tv like my normal television?

I use eyeTV a small dongle that lets you receive a digital tv signal, but you are perhaps looking for a streaming solution.

Slingbox is what I use. It streams my dvr from my house to my phones/tablets. I can view live our recorded programs. Granted its not free, but once it is set up, it really is nice.

Would it be possible to cast whatever is on your tv to your phone? Looking at vr headgear and wondering if there is a way to play xbox on my tv, cast to my phone then split the image in half so i could play vr xbox one idea sounds simple but wondering if it would be possible. And sorry if it has been asked before or if I come across as a noob but simple question.

Unless you have 300Mbps Internet access for your phone and your Xbox, you'll be limited to playing it within 20 meters of your Xbox with a ping of 2 seconds. This is a terrible idea in real life, but theoretically you could get a video capture card to a pc to get your output from your xbox into a pc which could then broadcast the video to wherever you want.
I simply want to stay in the same room as my tv and stream whatever image or video is on my tv screen to my phone screen. A reverse chrome cast i guess. Then once the video stream is on my phone simply cut the screen in half and have both portions run the same stream. So you could place your phone in the Google cardboard and have vr or 3d of whatever is on the tv. Would you need a transmitter on the tv or Bluetooth maybe or thru wifi. Hope what I'm saying makes since

Found app trinus vr in app store. Install it and then install on your pc. Allows you to cast whatever is on your pc to your phone so you can view in vr on the Google cardboard. Windows 10 allows you to hook your pc up and stream xbox to your pc. So this app is doing exactly what i was looking for. Figure i would give a heads up to anyone interested.
