[Q] Overclocking? - Xperia Play Themes and Apps

Does anyone know a good overclocking app that works with the play? How far did you over(or under)clock if you have one?

No overclocking until custom kernels

As far as I know, live OC is just another cpu governor. I prefer to use setcpu. Or oc daemon from energy ROMS.

Setcpu

Anyone have any great profiles and do you think it makes a real difference?

Boost game performance

Anybody know what ways i can do this? Like apps, strategies, or roms that boost performance

Ice Cream Sandwich rom's boost performance, if you overclock you can set it 1200 MHz and put performance.
Anything else? Because i don't really know what I'm doing when i overclock :/

Yea, beam

Just go to settings-rom control-performance
Change from 1000 to 1200.
You are now overclocked which will boost performance. I also changed my governor from the same screen to smartassv2

Kernal over/under clocking app

Hey guys Im new to over/under clocking first rom with custom kernal I kind of thought the rom would include a app for changing but I guess I'm wrong. So any suggestions for what to use to change that and voltage?
As always thank you very much!

I've recently been using "kernel tuner" and couldn't be happier. I hear "set cpu" is good, too.
Or "system tuner."

I've been using kt747 kernal and it comes with a tool. I like it allot because the tool is made by the same developer as the kernal and has all the tweaks I could want. With that being said, my fall back app is "set cpu" but I did use "nstools" for a while. I like set set cpu better because of the profiles that can be set.

setCPU voltage guide?

I remember seeing a guide on how you should go about saving your battery by adjusting the voltages in a CPU app. searched for it and can't seem to find it

I got some tips in the hell fire Phoenix 2.3 thread. I've been back and forth either cpu tweaker as well and I've read some folks believe it's better.
I have no idea if any of this really helps phone stability, but it controls cpu to some extent depending on kernel.

The battery you save is miniscule, that and the increased frequency of SOD means you have no net gain.

Agreed - better to try different kernels and find which one works best with your phone.

It will however make your device run much cooler.
