Trying to decide to reverse eng s-off, unroot, and return to stock to take the phone to att. Glass lift seems to be getting a little bit worse, so I am thinking of trying the store again. I went to one store and they referred me to HTC. HTC said I could send it in for repair but can't go without mobile email with work so I'm thinking of shopping around for a cool att store that may let me swap. Wonder what my odds are. I don't necessarily want to go through returning to stock for nothing. The first root went so smooth. I have had no issues with software whatsoever so not sure if I want to gamble with messing with stuff if it leads me to more work for absolutely nothing.
Anyone else have luck with att store after remorse period was up?
I thought a phone bought in an ATT corp store was covered by 1 year warranty and swapped at the store.
I had good luck with an ATT store swapping my old iPhone 3gs that had a defective digitizer and the lady gave me the captivate. This is for my second line on my account.

They won't swap at a store after 30 days. You just have to call at&t warranty department and they will ship you a refurb. They even include tape to seal the box for sending the old one back.

The right side of my screen is lifting. It pokes up above the frame on the right side and its getting worse.

No. Call att cust service and do a warranty swap you will get a phone in the mail (possibly a refurb) and a box to send the old one back. Turn around time is just a couple of days usually.

I tried Bubby's and it did not work. Used gfree and that worked for me. Exchanged.mine at a Device Support Center today. My gps had stopped working.

Yup. Just did it and it is really easy but trying to keep from ruu, s on, then ruu again. Minimizing clicks is key! Not lazy just busy!

I had 3G Watchdog Pro installed once, and the Market shows as purchased. But it declines my re-install every time. I have talked to the Market tech help and still no resolve. Any ideas?

Yes always always backup. Tibu has got to be the most important tool besides root explorer...well to me atleast. All I can think to suggest is the normal clear market data and cache to see if that works. Maybe reinstall market.

Could it be that it is not compatable for your ROM? Even though you purchased before maybe it won't work with the current config. Just a thought.

How did you swing that exchange? I heard people doing it but I tried and failed. What did you do/say to get this exchange?
For those of you asking how some of us got the Sensation over the G2X.
Well personally, nothing!
The rep just said they were out of stock of the original color of the G2X and that they only had a brown color one. (I was confused because I thought all G2X had that shade of brown)
Then he said if I didn't want the different color one I could exchange it for a Sensation.
That's what my brother wanted and so that's what I got.
I know this probably didn't help much, but wanted to share my experience.

Wanting to sell my myTouch4g, black. Phone is about 18months old, shows sign of wear, no scratches on the screen though. I used to have a protective film on the front and back. The covering on the screen just got removed about a week ago, the back cover is still under a film.
I have it rooted and S-Off. Currently using Hyperion Yoshi Sense ROM with Android 4.0.4. Everything works perfect (camera/720p recording, Google Now etc...) The screen flicker is part of the current Kernel. Will include the original 8GB SD card.

You should try your luck on ebay, I doubt a phone this old will get many hits from XDA unless if someone needs it in a certain situation. I'm about to sell mine in a couple weeks as soon as my contract is up as well. This phone had a good run, lasted me 2 years...

To be clear though the law does not outlaw unlocking the phone.
You are still legally able to unlock the device but you need to have the code from the manufacturer or carrier.
It makes it illegal to hack the phone to sim unlock like what is done with the iPhone.
If buy it on contract I can understand it, sort of...
If you buy it retail its not locked in the first place, at least not here. Hell, I dont think even contract phones are locked lol (my blade wasnt).
