I know bluetooth headsets use A2DP and bluetooth earphones use HDP and there are a few tweaks to fully redirect phone's audio to an earphone. I want to ask if somebody here knows if any of those tweaks work on CyanogenMod 7 and if so - which ones. Thanks in advance.
Nevermind, I bought a Motorola H500 today and it is actually working pretty good with BTmono.
No one beats Nokia in music, but I luv o1 too

I doubt nVidia is going to release the drivers, so we'll probably never have working A2DP on any 2.3.4/2.3.5 based ROMs.
Wouldn't we just be able to use a 3.5mm to Stereo Bluetooth Adapter to get Stereo Bluetooth?
Something like this - http://www.amazon.com/Wireless-Bluetooth-Stereo-Adapter-Players/dp/B005NF57AA/ref=sr_1_10?ie=UTF8&qid=1316890072&sr=8-10
I know not everyone will agree with me, but it's a thought!

Well it would work, just kinda sucks that you would have ta go that route... I'm sure that someone will crack a2dp eventually, but in the mean time if you really need or want stereo Bluetooth there ya go..

That's exactly what I was thinking, I don't use A2DP, so it doesn't really bother me... Although I have been looking at some wireless headphones.

I understand that but figured I would post that so if someone came looking to this thread for options...
I think that that would work but only for music or streaming media. In that case you would have to carry two different bluetooth headphones or connect to the phone itself everytime you want to make or answer a call. I use a samsumg bluetooth that is a normal bluetooth mono then you can plug in the earbuds via micro usb this defeats the point.
I did also think of it though when I saw it on amazon. Auvio sells headphones that come with that dongle and I saw the new walkman (the mp3 player that is) now comes with wireless headphones so nivdia needs to get their heads out of their asses and relese the drivers because it is the way of the future.
I actually posted in another thread to someone that "you can use this thing called a wire to listen to music Idont know I think it is how they did it in the old days weird right? imagin having to be connected to your phone physically"

I have a pair of beats headphones which sound terrible in the infuse so I tried a couple other pairs I have and same thing. They all sound like the singer in in a cave far far away, and void of bass. I did some reading and someone said to buy an adapter for the headphones. I purchased a 3.5mm TRRS to 3.5 TRRS Adapter. This fixed the issue until I changed to modem KK4 and also KI4, and now I am back to cave sound. Can someone explain what the modem has to do with headphones? or offer suggestions to make them work? Thanks!
Running Infused v2.2.3
Kernel 2.6.35.7-I997RUXKG3-CL366622
Baseband I997UCKI4
Firmware 2.3.3
The modem messes with headphones? i had no idea.

You tried voo doo control in the market? Makes stuff sound better.... and it's free.. just throwing that out there.

I tried the program Equalizer, customizable and it's got some cool features too...
Yeah I tried both. Does anyone use non samsung headphones in their infuse and can confirm they sound good?
Flash a kernel with voodoo sound (core a, b) and download voodoo control. Improves sound quality a LOT.

I use non SAMSUNG headphones and they sound good. I think I've flashed evey modem out there too lol.
My infuse is my daily music driver too. Never had an issue with about 4 different headsets.
I use Skull Candy ear buds, cheap speakers, and voodoo, awesome sound and bass.
My songs sound bad, kinda like what you are describing when I turn on 5.1 though. Maybe that is your problem?
Hi I have a samsung infuse with at&t and I am wondering which roms support bluetooth? I know it has to be a samsung based rom but which roms are they ? thanks
All of them do...except on cm7 and miui it probably wont work half the time if at all
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I997 using xda premium
only bluetooth audio doesnt work on cm7. samsung hasnt released gingerbread source yet.
That's what I mean when I say Bluetooth doesn't work....if Bluetooth audio doesn't work what's the point in using it...unless you transfer files like hell thru bt ....

I am also interested in a rom that has working audio bluetooth. I just got cm7 on it, and I really like it except for the lack of bluetooth audio.
If anyone can be of help it'd be much appreciated.
Thanks,

I have a Belkin stereo bluetooth receiver paired with my One X. The audio is very quiet and sounds like it's in a tunnel or a tin can.
I've tried every audio "filter" on the phone and it still sounds pretty much the same, just with more or less bass.
Plugging the phone directly into the aux port sounds great.
Any ideas?
My bluetooth audio isnt great either. Not terrible but not great. I use a Motorola T505.
However I just installed the DSP Manager app and disabled the stock music app/sound enhancer app/beats notifier thing.
The dsp app has improved the Bluetooth audio. It's not perfect and I'm still playing around but looks promising.

Welcome to HTC Sense based ROMS the default bitpool setting for NON officially supported bluetooth devices is set to 32 which is causing your sound quality issue. This has been happening since the HTC Hero ROM and I have personally reported this issue to HTC support twice now the last time I reported this problem was when I got my HTC EVO 4G 2 years ago. Here is my post from Aug 2010 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=7805461&postcount=4
I also recently tried to get this looked into again last week so far the best response I have received is "we will forward this to the appropriate blah blah blah" I'm not holding my breath on this problem ever being fixed the only thing we can hope for is a CM port for our phones since AOSP ROMS are the only ones that default to 53 giving you full quality.

My bluetooth is garbage as well.
I connected it to every bluetooth enabled car stereo that I sell (electronics store) and on all of the radios, my phones bluetooth starts to cutout/drop if i move more than a couple feet away.
Emailed / Called many times, no fix or solution offered.
Mine sounds pretty good. But I have beats wireless so its probably got better sound quality because of HTC being partnered with beats or whatever

Volume+ seems to have helped quite a bit. I've removed all the other 'enhancers' and instead use this app instead. Setting it to beats emulation and +8 on the volume made a big difference. (The author also has the non free app available from his website although I personally would go ahead and pay if it works for you). Well worth the pennies.
