Yeah, the only real option at this point is to just downgrade to 2.2.1. Since this is my first post, I can't post a link yet, but there are a few tutorials floating around already. After I get my obligatory 8 posts in, I'll be back with a few links.
im running 2.2.1 on mine it wont root with z4....
anything else i can use to root it
thanx for any suggestions

Again, you just have to downgrade back to 2.2. I think that 2.2.1 doesn't really have much to offer the Vortex anyways.
I tried super unroot something , its an app that u use. On your CPU, didn't work although it has apparently worked for others running 2.2.1 ****warning ***** never try to put your vortex in recovery mode you will lose everything as have i

It says: Installation has failed if i install the demo apk. And on the market the device is not compatible on my g3.
Can you please give me the link to the Demo.apk? You must Have gingerbread for minecraft, so I will try it on cm7.

That's false. You don't need gingerbread for Minecraft.

Where did you get the firmware from? The ones posted in the dev forum do work with super one click. If I can get hands on this firmware I can try to root it too and tell you my results.
I got it from service. Its almost perfect. Fast, no bugs, no FC, but different from v 20. So oneclick 1.9.5. Is not working. Without root I cant backup and upload it.

What's the error you get using superoneclick?
I think that if you change the title more peoples will come and try to help. For example, new gingerbread version......etc.
It's hard to help beacuse we don't have this firmware.
Try super one click 2.1
Try zergrush

Ok. I'll try that tomorrow. I tried 2.1 with auto setting. It comes to step 6 and stays there forever. Same happens with 1.5.9 It works till starting psneuter and then stays there indefinetely. Thanks for suggestions. If I root it I'll CWM it and post the backup.

Sure, we will wait for the final release but if we got the chance to test the latest available version why not? It worth the try, at least for me. By the way, I am running the old leaked GB and I am very happy, no lag at all and some good new features.
Rastko any luck rooting? Which country was the service flash done.
Tried gingerbreak?

Lol ....
Sorry again folks. I meant by reflashing my stock rom (from here in canada), it goes back into a unrooted "firmware" phase without superuser. Therefore, i cannot use titanium backup since there is no superuser. I could still use nvflash to flash another rom, but couldnt get nova out of the rom!
I got it by flashing the file for 2.3.3 from this thread : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1255214
(took a leap of faith on 2.2.2). Anyways got it working.
Thanks for trying to decode my original post though
I've read it about 3 times, with no luck to figuring this out. You are rooted and running cyanogen but want to know how to root and get 2.2 stock applications?

ok well ill keep looking back at this thread or send me a private message when u need more help with getting a custom rom on your phone
i have tried to root my phone but i could not.
1) Install ADB driver: http://www.junefabrics.com/bin2/LGDriver.exe
2) Enable USB debugging on your phone (Settings->Applications->Development), and connect your phone to your computer via USB.
3) Run SuperOneClick: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=803682
4) Choose the option "Root"
i did all of above. I have waited 30 minutes to root but it stocked when the 'superoneclick' says rebooting device.
i had to do hard format .
i am trying to root my phone third time.
i got the message says your phone is rooted but i think its not because titanium backup doest start it says your phone is not rooted
