Keyboard Switching App

I was wondering if there was any application out there that I could use to have separate keyboards for landscape and portrait? I would lioe to be able to use swype for portrait and have it switch to better keyboard when I'm using landscape? Or maybe someone could create it if there wasn't already something like that on the market (dot dot dot hint)?

Not seen anything that auto switches.. But it's quite quick to long press on the text input box and change the input method.. I suppose!!!

Nahh... that takes too long for me, that's why an automatic one would be best

Try going to settings/manage applications/chompsms/and scroll down and find the clear defaults button. If you ever need to reset a button assignment, this is how you do it.
Thank you

Don't know how helpful it is, but from what I can tell, the smiley button is dependent on how the application calls Swype (or whatever input you have selected).
I have two SMS apps, one of which defaults to single-line entry, the other is the stock one.
The stock app has the enter key, the app with single line entry has the smiley button. I haven't been able to figure out how to force one mode or the other...

If ur app has a single entry line..u will get the smileys for me it's stock.
But I use go SMS pro it doesn't have a single entry line and so Swype has an return key in place smiley...but I don't know how to change it..someone above said the said the versa, but this is how it works.

ICS questions

Yes, yes. I am well aware that I'm a noob. I have a few questions:
How do I change the refresh interval in Gmail?
How do I disable vibrate on key press for the android keyboard?
Is there any way to change the color of the messaging app without root?

[Q] Is there a way to remove the smiley key from the stock keyboard?

And the "globe/earth" key next to the spacebar? The functionality of the globe is redundant if you can hard press the spacebar for the same action.
Check the checkbox system default language in stock keyboard settings will remove the globe.

Where is it?
Click on Input languages. But I see you have multiple languages selected, don't think you can remove the globe with multiple languages. Try Multiling keyboard app from the PlayStore.

Okay, thanks. If I root my phone, is there a way to just edit the stock keyboard?
Or just buy SwiftKey

Not if you know how to modify the AOSP codes and recompile the stock keyboard. Give Multiling keyboard a try, I'm too using multiple IME and it fits my needs perfectly.
