All the new reviews show the device as being brown, whereas some of the earlier images showed a black device. Does anyone know if the US model will indeed just be brown like all the new reviews?

They have all been brown, some cameras just pick it up more.
black and dark brown are the two colors

Pebble blue isn't really blue. The back is blue, but the front is kind of a shade of purple. The home button is the worst, it's a deep purple. It's three different shades of color! >.<
Honestly, the Pebble Blue SGS3 is virtually indistinguishable from black, unless one gives it a close look.

this+1 In most angles when you look at it it is black.......only when you angle it so light is reflecting off the face do you see the blue, and the colors are not all crazy purple and weird like people say.......it looks very high end and professional sitting on the meeting table while the others with their huge thick camoflage and neon Otterbox iPhones look like childrens phones in comparison
Too late for me, I got a white 16GB one for free from Verizon. ( they messed up the Razr with the ICS update. It broke flash player and more)
This will be cool for fan's of black and I would likely want black, but I kind of like to have white just one time at lest.

Not me, this is my first white device and I freaking love it.
LOL, after looking at the white G3's that all the girls I work with are using I'm awful glad I held out & waited for the blue..........
Well, having seen the pictures of the black model and the blue mode in person there is definitely distinguishable difference in color. The black S3's color is dark and rich while the pebble blue looks more purple which is why I opted for the white S3. I was hoping a black model would have been released first.

Sorry. Never mind. I have looked for more videos. And it is not always true that black is for Black Mist and white is for White Frost
The result is mixed.
Maybe there is a setting somewhere. This is just so bizarre.

That is weird so they have two different version of touchwiz based on the model? Can't possibly be so there must be a setting somewhere to set black or white. By default they might be setting white on the white models and black on the black ones.
I believe it was/is white on the GS4s that haven't received final production firmware. After the firmware update the settings menu will be black.

Yeah, I was going to get the white one until I seen that same video. The phone looks like color with the screen off, which I like.
I just think it's a shame, they didn't start with blue or red instead of that pink..
Perhaps they know better .... nah .......

Not a big fan of white phones, remind me of iphones and give apple fanboys another reason to say samsung copies apple. I wish samsung would do away with the white and do a nice slate/gray instead. Heck they got pink so why not....
My note 2 is white and i love it so note 3 also will be on white...
I had a white Note 2 and currently own a white S4 and white Galaxy Camera. I think they look really great but I fancy a change now and black looks better with the leather effect. I also think you get better screen contrast with the a black bezel.
I'm getting a black one.

The Galaxy Gear is Mocha Gray...
Since I am not in hurry of buying the Note3 ( eventually I will), I hope that till then there will be a Gray kinda of Titanium colored Note3 too ...

Black creates a better contrast against all the bright colors (this is why the display on white phones pop more when the screen is OFF). It makes the display pop more. The "black" however is not really a black. It's a darker grey-scale color than the titanium note 2, with the same horizontal striping but not as prominent. No doubt it will make the display pop more than white though. In light, the white is conceptually brighter than the display.

Since I do not live in chinina it is ot possible for me to see how the color look like in reality.
I have seen picture of the mocha brown model which look very dark and browish while I have seen some that look more bright and almost a tint of pinkish (which I am afraid of)

Looks more like a light copper none of the pics show color accurately. Get it you won't regret..
Not that dark of a brown. I say borderline on rosegold described by Apple but with alittle more brown to it. It's metalic color so depending on the angle of the picture taken you see different shades of brown.
It looks mocha colored, not too much mocha but not little mocha. Maybe a bit mocha like. Above all else, it's mocha colored. Some people say theirs looks like mocha, others say theirs look like mocha. Don't trust any of those people. The phones actually mocha colored. Trust me on this. I'm mocha

Think of it as the gold version with a hint of brown in it like a sandy brown.
It's a lot like my previous phone , xperia z3 copper. But a hint lighter...Almost the same...

i was expecting mine has i had seen on pictures...pretty but more a kind of Bronze, as people from wondamobile announces
I thought I would like the white version but it is too pinkish. Reminds me of an Easter egg. So I'm going to sell this one and either get the blue or black version. I'd really love the green version but it has the exynos chipset and it flat out sucks. So if anyone has or has seen the blue and black versions please give me some opinions. Thanks.
I got the prism white and only exynos available in my region. I suggest you go and see some demo phones which one you really like. In my region, only black and white is availble and I would go for yellow for me.
I got the prism Black exynos. Just loving it.
Keep in mind Prism Black is actually a very dark shade of navy.
