Hi all,
I am ready to flash a gingerbread Rom on my inspire 4G but cannot make a decision on Revo or cyanogenMod.
I would really appreciate some opinions.

Please post in the correct section. There are threads covering this in general.
Sent from Desire HD or Inspire 4G or whatever this thing is called via premium XDA app.
I like the Vic 20 ROM myself. I used to use the TRS-80
A better question which section should I post my question in?
The answer is.............General.
What rom should you flash?
All of them... try them all out.
Ultimate Droid rom. its based on cyanogenmod, bit its much faster and has better battery life.

Did you ask him?
Seriously. You can always try out rumrunner or any of the other multitude of roms available.

To learn how to flash a rom you first need to learn to search. Look at the sticky in the Inspire 4G General section. It will teach you how to flash a Rom.

Then even after you get help doing it, I would suggest you read up and try and uderstand what you are doing. You very well could end up having a brick that you can't do anything with except look at.
Miui is VERY buggy and cap, don't bother. Looks amazing but I'm back on CM7 after trying two different MIUI versions last night.

seems to work for thousands of others....
SEE YA!
I was actually really impressed with MIUI. I thought I was going to hate it because of the iphoneish look to the UI so I never bothered to try it but once I did it impressed me & I got the best benchmarks & speed tests out of it than any other rom. But I love my VU & sense :')

The purpose of rooting your phone is so YOU can try out each rom and YOU can decide what YOU want, no one can make those decisions for YOU. Honestly, everyone will swear by the ROM they like so the only way to know is by testing them yourself.
shameless plug before the lock, BinDroid has been the absolute best.
both. have fun flashing
There is no better or best rom. Only what works best for you. Each device and how we use them are different. I could say XYZ rom is the best but you get lag and battery drain.
A search would have told you this.

Im running this rom and I love it, Im checking to see if their is any updates but I cant find the thread at all. I originally came across the rom through this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=970824 but now its telling me I dont have permission to view the thread.
No updates, the dev has moved to another device.
Thread was closed, i use it also.

Hi,
Are you still s-on?
If so ,you should probably visit THIS GUIDE
Post if you want to root,s-off ,etc.
Everyone is different in their usage and likes,so,I cannot possibly say what will be the best ROM for you.
Experiment with both Sense, and Non-Sense ROMS.
You will quickly see which ones you like.
S is off and I don't know the difference at all between them but i'll check out the post and thanks for your response

Hi,
If you are s-off,then,you are rooted as well.
You can flash anything you like.
A word of advice, make nandroid backups BEFORE flashing.
This will get you safely, and quickly, back to a stable system,if you do not like what you have flashed...
