This Location Logging Thing - Help Me Look At My File Please? - Android Software/Hacking General [Developers Only]

Hi
After all this Apple & Android logging location hype I'd like to see what my phone says.
I found this https://github.com/packetlss/android-locdump but have no idea how to use it. Can anyone help me with a step by step guide please?
I really don't care if my phone knows where I've been or if google keep records, I'm just curious to find out where I ended up last night!

Tasker Help

Well, doesn't appear many people answer questions on help with Tasker. I know it says it has a high learning curve and isn't for the casual user but I can't even get something as simple as having wifi turn on at home and then off when i leave. I am also not saying the app sucks but I am thinking about asking them for a refund because even doing simple things seems to be very clunky to do. I hope someone can walk me throug the wifi thing and if anyone knows a link to a place where you can actually learn how to use the app that would be great. I guess the developer is making so much money he doesn't care if people need help or not.

Did you actually look at the official Wiki linked from the Tasker website? It contains many example profiles you can download and customize as well step-throughs on setting up some of your own...
http://tasker.wikidot.com/
Also, if you search this site, there are a few threads where profiles have been posted. And I know people have linked to other sites that have guides/profiles (and even sites like Lifehacker have posted basic tutorials on the app). I also think there is a pretty active Google Group where the developer actually answers people's questions.

You know you can download the whole instruction manual to your phone, and each item has a question mark you can click that gives you relevant info? Having WiFi come on at a given location is one of the easiest profiles to set up.
1. At the bottom click New> State> Cell Near
2. In the Cell Near window click the Scan button, and walk around your home (or wherever) to make sure you pick up all the cell towers near by. When you're done, stop scanning and click Done.
3. On the Task Selection window click New Task> and in the Task Edit window click the + sign> Net> WiFi
4. In the WiFi window change Set to On and click Done.
5. Click Done in the Task Edit window and you're finished
Thanks, and now of course i see a thread not too far from here with examples. It didn't show up in search though because the search function on this site sucks ass! I set it up to do it by time and that didn't work so i'll try it your way. Thanks again.

[Q] Motorola spotlight player

I've checked google and I've searched high and low through XDA... Has anyone been able to get the spotlight app on anything other than a moto x?
My kids played this on a relatives phone over the weekend and they loved it!
I've managed to put apks I've found into their proper folders and I can make a widget on the desktop... The problem is that it force closes every time I start up my phone.
Anyone else have any luck? Maybe someone could walk me through what I would need to edit in the build.prop so I could download it through the play store.
Thanks in advance for the help, and sorry for the formatting I'm doing this through my phone...

perhaps we should try to copy the build.prop?

Android for Beginners

My brother and mother in law just moved from iPhone and a flip phone, and they know nothing about Android. I've been trying to find a guide or video to show them as an intro to how to use it, but when I search I'm finding tips like enabling dev settings and all that stuff. Trying to find a "for beginners course"... settings, sounds, etc...
Anyone have any ideas or know of anything?

Quest 2 Dev account with FB "Test Account"

So I have recently been thinking about buying a quest 2, then I read about the mandatory FB login . I deleted my FB account a few years back and have definitely not missed it at all. Anyway I saw that apparently someone rooted it but then it was fake or something like that, I dunno information was kinda scarce and a few months old at this point. Anyway I was poking around the Oculus site and saw that you could sign up for a Dev account without logging into FB. It also said that you could create a "Test Account" by which I'm assuming it meant a FB test account. I was wondering if anyone has done this and if it allows you to use the quest 2 fully or is it just for testing stuff you developed? Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I know it's been some time since you posted this
But here is what I found from testing test users:
1: you cannot download anything from the Oculus store as it will simply result in a error message saying "Error Performing Query"
2: Dev mode can be turned on without adding a phone number to the test user
but yeah, that's all that's really significant, you could still load side quest games and apps
and i would assume that piracy doesn't work (IDK never tried it and never should you)
but in the end, if you only want to use a Quest 2 as a PCVR headset then you could just use a test account and sideload ALVR, but if you want to actually use the damn thing as a gaming headset, you'll need to use the Oculus account exploit (see here:
You can also signup for a Oculus account here for the Oculus account exploit: https://developer.oculus.com/sign-up/)

Dummy Whatsapp

Hello if any one can help me with a dummy whatsapp doesn't matter if it's not connected to servers.
There was a app couple of years back Whatshack modifier which used to modify the chat, time and date of the chats but that doesn't work anymore it shows database error. Tried in many different phones with root but didn't work. I am looking for something similar. Tried finding fake chat creator on playstore but doesn't do my job as only chats can be created.
What exactly I am looking for is i just need to modify the time and date of the chats, reply and in broadcast list too. It's ok if it's just on my side as I am looking mainly to take screenshots of the chat according to the time and date what I set. Please I request someone to help me with this I will really be grateful.
I am ready to pay some if someone can help me out with it. Don't need those fake chat app on play store I have already used it all.
