No it's not my call volume I can here that fine. But ringtones, media, speaker phone... None of it has sound.. Help me??
Oh yeah, I have already tried new roms and tiny audio fix. Idk what else I can do. I don't want to have to unroot and restore my phone and get a new from my insurance...
Get a copy of PD98IMG...search bubbys oneclick thread. It's around here somewherr.
Put on root of SDcard. Reboot into hboot and let it find and load image.
That's a rooted stock ROM. you may lose settings...will be like starting over freshly rooted. Should fix sound issues.
going to test now hopefully it works. Then can I flash another rom or no?
Yeah you can after

This will put you back to stock with all stock settings. Including sound settings.
I'm pretty sure if this don't fix it...you're gonna have to take it back ...either explain to them and they give ya another or insurance.
Didn't work :/
What would be the best way to unroot ? I need to now because I have to take it back don't I?
Or can I claim as stolen and still get a new phone?
Did ya put in root of sdcard? Pull battery...volume down and power to load bootloader? Let it find and load image? Hit volume up to update? ?
did all but pull battery
Sorry for your troubles but that should have fixed any file/setting corruption that might be going on.
Just to be sure...dont take offense but you checked all you volume settings?

Sorry guys if this was posted already. I had been searching for a way to unroot totally back to factory and the RUUs were giving me all sorts of errors... 171, 170 etc. So I finally found a way to actually make it work.
** If you are rooted and have the 1.47 update and cannot unroot with the RUU you were in my boat. Here's what I did:
1 - Download the ROOTED 1.32.651.1 from http ://geekfor.me/evo/rom/Supersonic_1.32.651.1_rooted .zip
(Remove the spaces from the url)
2 - Put that zip in the root of your SD card and then boot into recovery and flash it.
3 - Download the official 1.47 RUU and it should work on your device with no problems.
I am sorry if this guide was elsewhere but this is what I came up with on my own and I wanted to share it in case there wasn't a working unroot guide out.

the ruu does not restore the PRI to 1.40 if you have the engineering boot.
From what I can tell, there is no way to restore back to 1.40 pri.

hmm.. okay.. so that zip file that was there.. i already had, and i already tried flashing that.. and it didnt work last time, nor did it work this time
i have hboot 0.79.000

Im using clockworkmod recovery 2.5.0.1
When i go to install zip from sd card>choose zip> and select the file attached, it just tries to open it and within a few miliseconds its back to the screen i was just at.
if i were to rename it to PC36IMG.zip and let bootloader load it, it will say 'wrong or no image'

It brakes 4G & WIFI with psfreedom from what i know

a little unnecessary....
you dont have to use the disable and then flash the kernel. If you are using a rom that doesnt have a dedicated disable.zip made for it (Fresh and Baked Snack have one) then all you do is need to flash the kernel you want of top. This is how I've did it since day one without any issues or lost data of anything. I usually do a Dalvik/cache wipe before flashing the kernel but im not certain that its necessary. Im glad some one made a thread to at least let people know that a nandroid backup isnt needed, cause those take forever...

Its somewhere in the original Psfreedom for evo thread. start and the back and work your way forward and you'll find it.
all this does is avoid the nand restore by flashing back your original kernal. The reason i didn't include this in my thread was because everyone has their own kernal. Sure many use the same but to make it a one step no mess up without people who can't read posting OMG OMG, just nand restore...done. But ya, i chose not to include a "disable" which is essentially a reverting of the kernal.
Hey theres a PSFreedom recovery now! Hopefully well get one for the EVO 4G like this one...

Hey, everyone. How's it going? I have been running Gingervitis 1.1 (?) and last night I went to uninstall an app that I had installed from the market. My phone froze up and is worthless at the moment. I can boot up, but I cant do anything. I see my wallpaper and the taskbar (even it is a little off), but that is it. If I hold power and volume down while booting it goes to the menu, but it automatically chooses to update the radio. I can't choose to do anything else. Wtf? Can I fix this?
Also, the phone will ring, but I can't do anything about that either.
I appreciate any help.
Hmm not sure I can be much help but you could try and get into recovery from there, rename a file say maybe a Rom to PG05IMG so when in hboot it tries to load it? hey just trying to help here and not sure it gonna work but could try a couple more ideas until someone smarter pops in. Sure your not bricked though.
If you can get into hboot you're not bricked. It sounds like you have a PG5... file still on your sd card. Take it out of the phone and load into your computer to delete that file. Put the card back in and you should now be able to select recovery in the hboot menu.
Sent from my ADR6400L using XDA Premium App
last i checked, a brick just sat there. so if your phone does more than set there, no it's not. it can probably be fixed. good luck.
power down your phone, take out your sd card and insert it into a computer. delete the pg#### file from the root of your sdcard. insert card in to phone, power back up.
try taking out your SD card and connecting it to computer, rename the PG05img to something else. then you should be able to hboot and get into recovery

Patience is key and so many people around here seem to be so quick to send the phone back, blame the developer and post how the rom bricked their phone, then start a thread about "Rumor Verizon is tracing all phones that spontaneously combusted to rooting. Am I getting Busted?"
Again, nice job on the save

EDIT: If anyone gets an error trying to use the Newkidd's One .ZIP Stock RUU file and then Flashes a ROM leaving you in a boot loop and you feel stuck, just download the modified Android Drivers from Unrevoked. This helps out a lot if your device can't be seen, then just use the PC version of the RUU and let it run well, and then you'll be good to go. Thanks A LOT to strapped365. He spent more the 8 hours with me on GTalk all together, and helped me revert EVERYTHING back and fixed everything. This was all his find, I just tested it out for him.

If it was rooted before, what I would do is start over. Did you run the RUU from the PC, or the SD Card? I'm by no means an expert. But when I've had to RUU a phone, it always worked better connected to the PC IMO. But if for whatever reason you can't, place it in the root of the SD Card. Do it from there. I'd RUU back to Froyo. Then just act like the phone was never rooted before. After that just follow the guide for rooting. Also, like I said before I would RUU from the PC via HTC Sync. Just connect your phone to the PC by USB cable, and run the RUU exe. from the PC.
Here is a thread with the RUU http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=909554
Just kidding I never RUU'd. I'm going to use PG06IMG.zip and then I'll RUU... k?
Just download the RUU. Place on your desktop. Connect the phone with HTC Sync, and run the RUU exe. It will take the phone back to factory stock ( unrooted froyo ) . Then just reroot.
I don't have HTC Sync. And he doesn't wanna Root anyway. </3.
K. I'm just gonna RUU it lol.

Glad you're good bud. Don't fret a donation, happy to help. That's what this place is about.
Btw, the reason the power menu didn't work is due to your system and framework still being odexed. Make a backup first, and flash rangerbry's deodex.zip here:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1874303, then the power menu will take. Might want to charge your phone first after this lil fiasco tho.

Make a backup first, and flash rangerbry's deodex.zip here:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1874303, then the power menu will take. Might want to charge your phone first after this lil fiasco tho.
Good luck.

Did you take the system update before rooting? I think there is something about that in the update thread. Make a phone call and stay on the line, it is redirected to a sprint rep? Something like that.
If you used the RSD file I posted correctly it should have wiped out all of the update tho. Did it flash all the way through?
