Does the Nexus gt-i9023 (UK) work with T-Zones? - Nexus S Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Theoretically, the Nexus S i9023 (from UK) should work with T-Zones right? Based on the information that I've collected, the Nexus S i9020t that Best Buy was selling, was the only model that was blocked from accessing T-Zones. Can someone confirm this? I really want a Nexus S, but I want to hold on to my T-zones

Seems to work. I've just been here and all seems to work as expected.

That what you mean?

Bloody hell they've come way down in price!

yep, slcd only though. i'm sure samoled will follow shortly though.
slcd £324, samoled £407 + £10ish postage i'm guessing
it kinda puts the phone in the right price bracket that it should have been in all along. i guess it's because of the upcoming dual cores...

Is that not mainly as cpw are the only retailers here selling the samoled version at the moment though and their prices are always inflated anyway?
I bought mine for £300 sealed so I'm not too upset by the reduction ... yet!

where from?

Private sale

So, can someone confirm that the I9023 work with T-Zones? Longer than a week? I am considering buying one, but don't want to have the same problem as the I9020T, which got blocked by Tmobile US in a week. Can't give up my tzones...
Please post if anyone has confirmation!

Were you able to confirm if Tzones work on Nexus I9023?

Does anyone know if there is a difference between the i9020T vs i9020A and just an i9020?

Samsung Nexus S Limited Edition?

Is $520 a good deal for a limited edition Nexus S??
Well that depends on how much ut is over an unlocked regular nexus s; also if the perks.if that limited version are worth it to you.
Captivate 2.2.1 Paragon
Well how much would I be able to sell it for?

I assume by limited edition you mean the google employee one which has the androids on the back cover. I've seen them on ebay for sometimes up to $800 but in my opinion that is a rather silly price to pay for a special back cover that will barely be visible. However, $520 is actually a little cheaper than buying the phone off contract (note that all Nexus S phones come unlocked but are locked to Tmobile in that they do not support ATT 3G bands).
I lucked up and got my limited edition for 350 brand new never used on Craigslist and there is absolutely nothing special or different hardware wise or software but the back plate is nice but to answer you I would pay 520 for it tho if brand new

T-Mobile HTC One S (US) Pricing.

Looks like Pricing for the HTC One S (US Tmobile version) was leaked or so tech article reads. Same price as HTC one X on AT&T w/ 2 year contract and $50 rebate. Should have been cheaper IMO.
http://www.bostonherald.com/busines...hone_users_in_ecstasy/srvc=home&position=also
Sorry if this is not helpful to anyone.
I'm more interested in the Retail off contract price. That's listed at $599 right now. Also it looks like the T-Mobile version isn't the MAO version. I was really looking forward to the MAO version despite all of the issues with it.
What bothers me the most is that AT&T will probably sell the higher classed HTC One X for the same price off contract. So Tmobile is overpricing their HTC One S seeing how it very obviously lies a tier below the One X according to HTC.
I understand it's Tmobile's flagship phone right now, but you still have to price it according to everything else on the market and not just what is available on your own network... that's how you lose customers.

I will have to agree with you on this. Should be lots less expensive than HTC One X. Kind of Disappointing.
If you read the specs, the HTC One X thats coming to america is the One S with a bigger screen.

Minus the 4.7 inch HD screen like you said. I think that should reflect in the pricing. Just my thoughts.

Agreed. I am a little disappointed but I guess I will just deal with it... Thanks for the link.
Yeah bigger screen and higher resolution. Also LTE... so if you consider the things that people look for in a phone as screen size, processor, screen resolution, storage size, and network speed... then the AT&T HTC One X has larger screen, higher resolution, and faster network speed. So 3 of the 5 things people look for in new phones are a "generation" above the Tmobile HTC One S.
I don't really care about most of those things within reason which is why the HTC One S appeals to me. It's the right balance. That being said it's still lower end than the One X... even in the version AT&T is getting.
This is a huge Tmobile fail imo. Most of us will suck it up and buy it anyway, but like I said... that's not how to make a customer happy.

its not just bigger, its a IPS panel with 720p, which make it the best on the market today. One X also has NFC
also looks like no MAO after all the hype. Is that a good thing.....I dont know.
I just wish I knew if ATT coverage was same or better then Tmobile in Boston area, then I would just switch to ATT and get One X with pretty much zero compromises vs One S
AT&T 3G frequencies?
Anybody knows if the T-mobile HTC One S version also supports the AT&T 850/1900 3G frequencies? The T-Mobile support forum says yes, but the specs on the website do not specify them. If it does, then I would buy it full price, unlock it and use it on the AT&T network (the international unlocked version of the One S is missing the 1900 3G band).
Thanks.
Cell companies price all new phones at the same price off contract. An off contract phone should be no more than 400.00 to 450.00. They price them high so you feel like you are getting value with a 200.00 on contract price.

Looks like if you Buy this through Costco.com you can get it for $189 w/2 year contract plus $25 costco cash card and free accessories. Free shipping too. There is no MIR either. Best deal out there so far. you can pre-order it now too. But you have to select a data plan from them when buying that will run you $35 or 65$ a month. Cheaper to go through T-mobile.

LTE is a joke on ATT and Sprint, but T-Mobile hasnt even started rolling it....
I wonder how is ATT's HSPA+ network. I am always afraid to switch to ATT, I just dont know a single person with ATT network in Boston area
I have two issues. 1. Screen size (like everyone is saying) 2. The bigger issue for me is the potential lower resolution for hooking up to a monitor. Although I don't know if movies will have the same resolution, I would love to hook up a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse while connecting to my TV for web surfing and more. Right now I bring my laptop and do that for watching movies and internet video presentations on the web for family, friends, and work. The thing is, for the price, I might as well buy a tablet with hdmi out and keep my old phone for tethering purposes.
Additionally, with smartphone makers listening to the market for future innovations, the message is muddled by carrier contracts and business models. In other words, carriers needs will overshadow consumers, and companies like HTC will wonder why their market share isn't doing better for the "allowed" upgrades. IMO, this is why tablets like the kindle and nook are so limited (using nook to type this).
Does anyone know what the early upgrade price will be?
I just ordered it from best buy, kept the same plan I had Unlimited Data throttled at 5gb. $199 free shipping. $223 after taxes and upgrade fees. Ships out the 22nd and says will be at my door step the 24th. That's according to Best buy. Will see.
Sent from my SGH-T989 using xda premium
I think early upgrade fee is like $404 or something close to that. If you have been a longtime T-Mobile customer they will usually give you a full upgrade if you ask for the customer loyalty dept. Ask what's the best price they can give you on your plan and phone because your interested in switching to At&t for the One X.
They should hook you up. I've done this 6 months ago and they gave me a $200 account credit and full upgrades on 2 of my lines when I wasn't due for almost 14 months. Been with T-Mobile for 10 years best at trying to keep customers.

its doesnt say it will ship on 22nd, it says AFTER 22nd. the rumors were that One S will be available on 25th
"BELLEVUE, Wash. — April 18, 2012 —Today, T-Mobile USA, Inc. and HTC Corp. announced the highly anticipated HTC One ™ S will be available at T-Mobile ® stores nationwide on April 25"
I know the release date. Just going by what my receipt said for the extra 4.99 I paided for express shipping. Either way I still get it.

HTC ONE XL Model X325E vs X325S

Someone could tell me the difference between the model X325S and X325E.
Thank you.
One is white and the other is black, I believe the one ending in E is white
I have purchased a x325e and black.
This one:

that is the most expensive website ive ever seen. Are they really claiming that the regular price is 1200.00? even at 752 that is alot. i think it is cheaper buying it off contract from ATT.
Edit: i see it is unlocked, but i still think they are overcharging. Why not just get the international one shipped.

For one thing, AT&T isn't selling it right now (due to the iPhone patent crap).
And the international version is a very different phone, of course.

And this has to do with the question?
According to what I have read on the internet, the X325e and X325s are 16 GB models and the X325u is the 32 GB model. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
My one was X325S, international version, Black with 16G internal storage.
Does it X325E custom for some specify service provider?

S7 unlocked

I was wondering about retailers in the US that will sell the S7 unlocked from day 1 that aren't resellers on amazon/ebay. I know BestBuy sells unlocked phones now but I believe some of them are overpriced, and amazon/ebay resellers sometimes aren't trustworthy so I really don't want to deal with that extra hassle. Plus I need to buy it unlocked cause I'd like to try it for a couple weeks and sell it if I don't like it very much.

PhoneArena claims availability from the following:
AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, Verizon Wireless and U.S. Cellular stores, Best Buy, Car Toys, Sam’s Club, Staples, Target and Walmart
If I'm not mistaken Best Buy is also available in Canada so maybe there. However Best Buy doesn't seem to be offering the S7 unlocked atm.

I don't think best buy Canada sells unlocked phones but I could be wrong... I'm on public mobile (telus) so I'll try to buy from telus or kodoo
I would love an unlocked one in a Canada also, but not holding my breath for that. I just assume Samsung will make us go through the carrier.
Now will Bell let me by one outright? That's what I'm wondering.

EBay is very safe, just buy it from a reputable seller. And you're protected by PayPal.

I read on Android Authority if I'm not mistaken the Samsung won't be selling unlocked phones directly.
DAMN! $899 from the carriers for the 32GB non-Edge.
I don't know if I can shell out over $1000 (with tax) for a carrier locked phone that gets OS updates 6 months late. Disappointed I won't be getting a new toy.
in canada we dont see unlocked phones because the big three dont like it. like the nexus 5 was sold unlocked for 399 and at fido for 500. (not sure about the price)
we are really screwed right now in canada. exchange rate is so bad. i think the S7 will be 249-299 on contract and the S7 plus 120$ more.
I called the Samsung store at Sherway Gardens in Toronto. The guy said, they DO sell unlocked phones. They are taking pre-orders and you have to go to the store for a deposit. It also comes with the free VR headset!
Certainly good news if you live close to a Samsung store. I wasn't expecting this.
So can I safely assume updates should hit these faster than carrier phones since they are straight from Samsung?

That's really lucky for you. I already asked BB about the unlocked version, they hinted it might be available when the phone is released but definitely not available for preorder meaning unless it's a carrier phone no way to take advantage of the preorder bonus, unfortunately there's no local Samsung store down here. If you do go and preorder the unlocked version at a Samsung Store, mind getting the prices for us please? (s7 and s7 edge).
Had an unlocked Note 5 from the Samsung store. I don't see why they would stop selling unlocked phones.

It's $899 for the 32GB S7, didn't ask about the Edge. It DOES come with the bonus VR with no contract or carrier sign-up nonsense.

Where can we buy it ??

Seems like the perfect smartphone... Where did you guys bought it ? Interests here in France..
As of right now I think it is only available through carriers like rogers and bell etc. in Canada. Youre right this seems like the perfect smartphone and I will be picking one up. Im not sure if they plan on releasing to more markets
Hardwarecanucks seem to be very interested in it. And they are not happy with Canadian prices. But they found that India's carriers have the phone announced at far lower prices. So when it comes to India, it will trickle down to eBay and voila - you will get your cheap pure Android with Quad DAC! Patience, gentlemen!

Hey hey,
The price thing i'm not getting either. I got mine the week of release with Koodo (Telus in Canada) for 435$ (i had a 125$ rebate). So 560$ total for a "new comer" and thats on the barebones 1GB 35$ plan. The other payment options were 875$.... strange... Anyway, I'm really pleased with the DAC. Its a DragonFly built right in and drives my HD558s (50ohm) with ease. A real pleasure to listen to music with,.
Got mine from Vidéotron on Black Friday for $0 on a $75/mo plan with 10 GB of data.
Really good deal, if you ask me.
Anyone can help me buy this phone? Been searching all over the internet, still no lock.
The phones from Canada are not factory unlock and they dont ship in my country.
