My bad
Just thought of making a thread in the general section though as this is something a lot of people will be asking themselves.
Bump for those of you who are looking for the drivers
So I mistakenly installed the 3.2 driver instead of the 2.2 one. Will this effect my phone if I try to root? Is there anyway to remove the 3.2 driver?
3.2 is the newer driver. I've been using it without any issues.
Ty for this!
Thanks, it was nice to find your thread so easily.
Lg g2x drivers
thank you
just to help someone who may encounter the same probs I had... for windows 8, the drivers of my G2X had a problem with my windows 8 due to the lack of windows media format feature pack.
I solved it downloading the following update:

Hello guys!
I have installed Cyanogenmod 3.7.0 (android 2.3.7 version). It's MALGDR installed.
I want back to stock, but I'm not sure how.
I have downloaded the ROM from local HTC-site.
The rom is put on SD-card, so should I erase everything on SD card and make a partiinion FAT32 or can I do this AFTER I have installed WinMO 6.5?
Or could this occur some corrupt data or something during installl? Any help is highly appreciated.
Also, when I will start installing. Should I use the method on using VOLUME DOWN + POWER ON button, to get into that tri-colour screen and then plug in USB, wait for it to connect and then just drive from computer?
When I run the ROM from the computer it is like random rom install. It has to detect the device etc.. for it to install. This will not be any problem?
Thanks alot guys. I really hope someone with education around this will help me out.
Please any help!!
would like to give it a bump, so perhaps someone can help me.

I'd be very surprised if you were the 1st person to want to go from a Magldr booting ROM back to WM, so the answers you need are probably already there. I pointed you there purely because you'd be surprised how many people don't know their devices have specific forums.
Edit: Here you go. A quick google search found this...

Wow, that was a real nice thread. But I'm wondering about if I install without deleting partitions on SD card, and just run the ROM-file that I downloaded from HTC.
Can I do this? I'm really not sure how to exceed this prodedure, since I want radio and HSPL being all original.
Thanks for the thread though, mate. Hope you can help me out perhaps here!
ok i bricked my phone.
how can i undo it. nothing happens. tried following links nothing.
help thank you.
Possibly the worst first post ever. We should have a "best of" list somewhere on this site. Kinda like Craigslist does.
@OP With the amount of info you provided I can tell you nothing.
LOL...
Hi TX
how did you brick your phone?
Did you odin it a Vibrant ROM instead of SGS 4G?
We really need more info.
See if you can get into download mode (yellow triangle) by pressing both volume keys as you plug phone to computer (you will need to install Samsung drivers first)
sent from me
Is your phone really a GALAXY S 4G or do you have an EPIC 4G like the other guy or an GALAXY S, or any of the other models that people think are this phone and then flash the wrong stuff to it.
together orienh
Its a Samsung Galaxy 4g by tmobile. i flashed the vibrant stuff on there which when i download the tom it did not say it was for vibrant,.
I used Odin to do it with.
i been trying to get it into down load mode since i done bricked it. looks like i might end up buying one of those usb jig to force it.
I ave flashed phone in the past but mostly blackberry's to different carriers.
so as a noob i F**cked up on my personal phone which i have a back up which is not a big deal. all i wanted to do was upgrade from fryo to ice-cream or something better.
Sucks that as of now not given the opertunity to up date software.
thanks

"What time is it?"
I typically run something close to Team Acid's CM9. Recently it has been with Hefe Kernel of Darkness, the auto-brightness mods, and I build with TWRP (since I have come to prefer it over Clockwork recovery). I like AOKP for some of its features as well, and find the two perform similarly for me.
Right now I'm running CM9 mainly because of the work on the Aries kernel I'm doing. Team Acid needs to get it running on one ROM solidly before seeing if there are ROM-related things that also need to be resolved.

WOW REALLY? That "unhelpful" link is Samsungs stock firmware repository. Click link, Register, click firmware, search device number, DL firmware for ODIN. How does it feel having your hand held like a little kid?
you know, it snot-nosed stuck-up kids like you that make us not want to help people. first, you post this thread with absolutely no helpful information on what you did to your phone. second, it's obvious you didn't search before you posted, otherwise you wouldn't have posted this thread. third, when people were being helpful and i mean very helpful (most would just point and laugh or flame at you for posting this thread), you don't even thank them. and finally after someone basically held your hand and gave you probably the most helpful link in regards to which rom to flash with odin, you go and disrespect him. but i can also see that maybe there is a little sense in your head cause you actually did use the search feature of this forum and found something helpful also. but that's only "one thing positive for you. hopefully you will learn something from this though. and now i'm going to quote something from someone you may know...

http://rootzwiki.com/topic/2675-heimdall-advanced-how-to-debrick-hard-bricks-with-no-jtag/
Good evening everyone,
Ok i wanted to clear something up for one.
I did research out my wazoo before posting this.
i posted plain and simple what my phone was doing.
Did not think you had say hey i have a zebra phone. My phone got bricked. yes my fault. i did more research found nothing that's why i posted the basic info thinking someone would say try this.
Ok for the ones who tried to help me thanks but i have gotten one rude person who replied originally. after i posted.
to the guy who posted the link for sammobile now all you did was posted a link thanks but on your side you could have told me register first to get what i need. but you did not so when i went to that link it looked like a place for viriusis, my Virus scanner went off so i posted what i posted, after i seen your post after i post i did what you said and ok some reason all was good. now before anyone replied back, i still did me research and found someone with something helpful not using Odin the link i posted and i said thanks to that person on there thread. I have never flashed an android phone before. i have done blackberries from carrier to carrier sprint to cricket.
For those who were helpful and not rude to me Thank you.
And report me go ahead fine. i am just now getting home from work to reply back to this and say thanks for who have helped.
Have a great day.
That is all.
I don't see anything in this thread worthy of reporting.....what's so horrible here?
What I see is some reading to deeply into things....but nothing said or done againsts any xda rules....other than some non vulgar name calling which was actually done by someone who is doing the reporting.
Sorry but this is sad.
Way to treat a new Guy!.....
@OP
The guy who posted the link for Sammobile is the same guy who "rudely" replied to you. That guy is me. If you think that reply was rude so be it. You provided ZERO useful info. Still haven't. I'm glad you got your phone back up and running. Please stay on stock until you decide to take the time and learn a few things.
OK first off, you need a new virus scanner. That website literally how we got gingerbread on this phone until it was official October last year.
Or you have a bad site open in another tab.
You should have at least looked around the website.
2. One of the first stickies in the general section is the DON'T FLASH ANY VIBRANT ROM thread. It is NOT the same phone.
3. This phone is called the SGH- T959V for future reference.
4. Next time you post, don't blame the guy that helps you.
@hechoen. Just for reference. The website only has leaked firmware up to KI1. You have to go to sampro.pl for KJ6. (It is in polish, and you need an account.(use google chrome for a translator))
I searched and searched but wasn't able to find clear directions on a few of the things I was looking for to make it necessary to root my friend's phone.
She has Gingerbread 2.3.5 - it's a refurb phone,
I run Ubuntu Precise 32bit but can run an XP VM
and I understand how to use ADB
Is there a more up to date method of rooting this phone so I can help her enjoy the benefits?
I would be very thankful.

Check if she Is running the last update (Android 2.3.5) if she Is, then go To the hack kit site And see what You have To do first.
Greetings to whoever is reading this!
I recently got a HTC HD2 phone with JellyBean 4.2 or 4.3 installed, I'm not sure. But I've been having memory problems with the phone. Whenever I install too many apps, the internal memory of the phone goes low and I can't install anything. I used Link2SD to transfer the apps to the SD card (and yes, I partioned it correctly I think) but I still get the memory low warning.
My question is: Is it possible to downgrade from JellyBean to Android 2.3 version?
I think I screwed up a little, because while having the JellyBean still installed, I installed something else over it trying to downgrade. But that's not causing any problems so far.
I'm quite a noob when it comes to android so please bear with me. Is it possible to delete everything that is installed on this phone, and start installing Android 2.3 from the beginning? If yes, then can you please tell me step-by-step how it is done, or if there is any guide that I missed, can you point me to it?
Thank you very much!

@classic20 - You should be able to retrograde to Gingerbread in the same manner you would upgrade the phone. Also, navigate to the HTC HD2 portion of XDA, you may have better luck if you do some digging there.

Haha, I know how to search with the keyboard. When I said I am a noob, I meant on this forum and about Android in general, not the computers
Anyway, I wiped my phone with the help of a friend and installed Gingerbread 2.3 or something like that.
But, I would really like to thank you for taking the time to reply.

Does anyone on XDA actually need/want the download tool for the OnePlus 7? I can acquire it if it is wanted, but I don't really know that a community exists for this phone, so I'm putting out a brief call-for-interest to see if anyone wants this thing before I invest the time in getting it.

I saw requests here and in other forums for msm tool.
Please share the tool.
I think share the tool will be very useful
It would be very useful definitely!
So it seems that most of the dev attention is with the 7 Pro, right? Regular 7 is a bit neglected in this regard?

Hi Mate, would be really grateful if you can 'cause I just hard bricked my OP7, I think I might have flashed the wrong version of TWRP.
MSMDownloadTool 4.0.88 from a OnePlus 7 Pro archive seems to communicate over serial port (it says connected) so that gives a bit of hope for my device.
I'm lacking the rom/firmware files for the OnePlus 7 to upload though, so if you can help here it is really really appreciated
Anyone else reading this and can help is of course welcome too.
Thanks in advance.
Yes, this would be really useful! Thanks!
For version oneplus 7 GM 1900 please.
As I wrote in the other thread... The main problem with OP7 is, we don't have MSMTools. That's why there are no custom roms for the OP7. No one wanna risk to brick the device.
Bricked device = no fastboot (probability is very high that bootloader is also locked)
Let's see what happens in future.
