So have anyone try to install a third party app into the phone yet? I tried a couple times, but no luck. I tried install WLP.apk but it won't load, and i tried some game from my vibrant, it loaded in and kicked back to the homescreen. Any of you have this problem? or am I doing something wrong here? your suggestion is appreciated!!

Alright, I promise I have searched and searched for an answer to this, but none of the answers I have found seem to be right for this one. captivate, rooted, but still on regular ol' 2.1. DL an app, it's been sitting at "installing" for several days. No cancel button. No delete or anything similar. I have cleared market cache, rebooted, poked around and tried everything I can think of. Even tried reinstalling it via appbrain from PC, but no luck there either. I REALLY don't want to wipe my phone for this. Any ideas?
Again, sorry if this has been answered but I simply can't find the right answer (if there is one!) on here or google!
TIA
You should be able to click on the download in the market and cancel it. I've had this problem but I'm running Froyo and have only noticed it since upgrading. If you can't cancel you could try booting to recovery and wiping cache???
I'm having a problem with the market. This doesn't happen all the time, but it seems to happen a lot. When I download an app, it shows it's downloading, then once it's downloaded nothing happens. Sometimes if I download the app 10+ times it will finally work. I just flashed Firefly 2.5 again, after trying a different ROM. The other times I was running FireFly I didn't have this problem. This also happened occasionally with Perception and Cognition.
I thought it was caused by the app Lookout. When I uninstalled Lookout it definitely happened less, but it still happens.
I have always loaded the same ROMs on my wifes phone, and hers never has this problem. I read that unlocking the phone can alter the IMEI and cause market issues, but I have never unlocked the phone, and the IMEI is unchanged.
I don't know if it's related but I never could get the apps to install when you try to do it on market.android.com from a desktop. The same thing happens, downloads then nothing.
Try

Manage

Clear data

Thanks, that seemed to work ... this time. I'll have to remember that the next time I have this issue.
So I got this problem with twitter. I try to login but it tells me to try again another time. I tried now for 3 days with wifi/3G but I get the same message. I tried removing the app and installing again but nothing seems to work.
Anyone else had this problem and was able to fix it?
PS. Rest of the apps like whatsapp and gmail/youtube work perfectly fine.
same as here! anyone can help
This might just be at my place, or maybe not? anyways does any one else have this issue and any idea on how to solve it? and yes i have tried on several computers. for some reason there is no link and no text on the install button, doens't matter what app i try to install
Has anyone experienced this....I install Google Earth and when I run it, it freezes and kicks me out. installed it 3 times so far but still the same result.
Any ideas?
