I've been using these modded transparent black widgets for a while now, but the applications are very old versions. I got them from this post. I use the facebook, music, weather and news, and youtube widgets.
I tried theming the widgets myself, but am way over my head and am still learning.
Any help making newer versions would be greatly appreciated.

After applying the entire widgets.zip and even the individual search, the search bar widget remains non-transparent. Any clues?
Maybe your not using Launcher2.apk?

This is great work, but I'm still mainly trying to get the genie widget in a transparent via morph or recovery. Searching Nexus threads and coming up empty handed here.

Why are you using launcher 2? I think Launcher is better
It skips genie.apk for me. Also, search is still not transparent, but I'd prefer it that way.

Have you managed to get the Buzz widget transparent? It doesn't work out for me even tho I've signed it.

I tried uninstalling, deleting, force reinstalling, signing....
Either get a "INSTALL_PARSE_FAILED_UNEXPECTED_EXCEPTION" or "INSTALL_FAILED_UPDATE_INCOMPATIBLE".
note: The widget apk is named com.google.android.apps.updates.widget.apk
If I wanted to undo the calendar morph, how would I go about doing that? Is there a way to restore the original calendar look? Thanks
Hello. I've recently flashed cyanogen mod and i was interested on widgets similer to the HTC Stock, as calender, Watch , Weather. Could you please give some suggestions? I'm tired of looking to this apps i dont find anything interesting. :\ I've installed the launcher 0.3 as many suggested, its a great app.

apparently 'beautiful widgets' is a must have app...
not interested in it myself. i like the simple look, without extra consumption of resources.
Beautiful Widgets for the clock/weather. also weather widget donate. that one is a pure sense copy but can be buggy. beautiful widgets it a little off the style but works without fail.
For just the weather, i've never found any widget that is up to par with the sense ui one. there are some that are close, but nothing as good.
Pure Calender widget is the best one for the sense calender
as far as stocks, not sure if theres any widget for that. though there might be.
Whilst CHT 2.0 is undoubtedly another AMAZING leap forward for our phones there are some widgets that desperately need to be developed to complete it. Now unfortunately, whilst I can make things look pretty, I do not speak LUA, nor do I have the time to learn! Is there anyone out there working on making (or editing existing Maxsense ones...) the following widgets:
Favourite People widget (like the one in Maxsense)
Twitter widget (like the RSS widget already in CHT 2.0)
Facebook widget (likewise)
Google Search widget
Feel free to add any more requests and ideas to this list and I'll make sure to forward the suggestions on
Yup, We all agree with you. Widgets and more live widgets, all alike SPB House and Android widgets ported to CHT 2 Beta would be very sweet. Again I don't think this will happen over night, maybe in 3 or 4 months we'll see another version of CHT with added widgets.
Easy widgets like Pictures portraits, and quick links could be developed with sizable options and themes thou. I need something to fill out all this empty space. I learnt when I turn down the animation to normal, everything flows smoothly!!
I am looking for something like pure messenger or launcher pro's modified skins, that has a completely white text and interface, on a fully transparent background.
These are my screenshots, and you can see that the 1st one has a rss reader, I am looking for something similar to that. Pure messenger is good but it has that blue "t" in the right of every tweet, indicating that the message is twitter related, if you know what I mean. Also, I have found mods that add transparency to the official twitter widget, but the blue "t" is there as well, on the left of the "what's happening" text. On pure messenger I was also able to remove "contact names", which was also a great plus. Is there something on the market that would help me?
Ok so here's my 1st attempt, if I could get rid of those blue twitter icons in the right of the tweets I would be a happy man. Is there any setting for it? Or any skin that makes them white/black?

Each skin has a folder in the pmw folder on your SD card. Find the Twitter icon PNG in which ever skin you're using and replace it with a transparent png and you should be good to go, theoretically.

Pure messenger widget seems to be quite laggy on my nexus one. I wonder why. Anyone has lighter widget? I'm searching for the all-in-one update widget too..

I wanted to ask about weather widget. I recently upgraded to CM7 now I dont have HTC weather widget on my desktop to the left of the main screen. Is there a way to put this widget in. I tried using add from menu and add weather but it does not look the same. Its smaller in size and not full screen like the stock used to be. I have HTC inspire.
Please help me if you know the solution to this.

As far as I know, once you flashed CM7 you overridden the stock HTC Launcher so HTC widgets won't be available anymore. You'll need to search for a replacement on the maket.
Fancy widget is a good replacement. You can also purchase fancy widget pro if you want the animations
You should search for fancy widgets to get the latest version. it's indeed a good replacement for both HTC weather and HTC clock widgets.
As a side note, if you're missing some of the other widgets like contacts, calendar, facebook and others, you can try my new application Android Pro Widgets (search androidprowidgets on the market if you want to, but it is a paid app).

The weather widget (and just about anything that relies on Sense frameworks) are gone in CM7. There are however alternatives/ clones available in the Android Market like and Animating Flip Clock Widget (not perfect but pretty nice).
