Stock Rom, Stock Kernel

Hey guys,
i have a nexus s.
behind the battery it says it's a 9023, in the settings it's a 9020a.
i wanted to sell my phone so i was trying to go back to stock rom.
at the moment it says:
2.3.6
I9020AUCKF1
2.6.35.7 - gf5f63ef
[email protected]#1
GRK39F
But now i dont get any connection to the network and can't use the phone.
i was trying to update to 4.0.3 but it didn't work and i got
e:failed to verify whole signature.....
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1401469
Here it says i got a 9020 rom on my 9023 phone.
So maybe i just need a 9023 stock rom?
And is there something like a stock-kernel? and where can i get it?
Would be nice to get some answers!!
Thanks you!

i want to root it :/
When you've reached 10 posts, just ask you're question there : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2107775
BTW, if you flash (downgrade or not), flash directly for a rooted rom.

Tutorials as much that you almost can't handle with.
I believe you are saying I should look for tutorials - got it thank you. case closed! unless I run into a serious problem.
If u have any specific sources let me know, (xda-dev forum or just google?)

No. Flashing the factory image will overwrite any kernel you have.

Simple answer, no...
We would need to get some development done to port it to our phones.

It seems that different model numbers need specific roms. You can't flash a 915f rom on my 915G, tried and just get reboots. It is something that stops it working, whether its the CSC, build.prop or bootloader I don't know...

Weird Build number: DL00C17B156

Hi All,
I can't find any information about my build number anywhere. Seems I'm the only one running this version? I'm slightly concerned about rooting and flashing it. Any thoughts from anyone else?
Thanks
Hello
Hi Mate,
The same here. I am not with DL00 but I am with TL00C01B165. I rooted it once till they sent me the B165 update. Now I am back to non-Root. TL-00 is with China Mobile (Provider) software. And I am also wondering is it safe to flash staff for AL10?
