Hey guys,
I'm using launcher pro for a while, but I didn't find a solution for putting folders into dockline (in order to sort apps, games, etc)
Hope some of you can help, thanks a lot - kind regards

Use simi folder, available on the market on this forum.

You can also use Folder Organizer or Apps Organizer. Simi Folder is also a good one, as mentioned.
Heya, thank you
Simi folder seems to be nice!

Hey all, I've been trying to find an app/widget similar to the native android folder widget where you can drag and drop icons into the folder...but I want to use custom icons for those folders. All the apps I've come across do not have the drag and drop functionality.
Thank you for the input!
Joe

I see the option for activities and launcher actions, which one is used for creating folders?

Try Simi Folder. It's fantastic.

its features are still being extended. So just go over to thread and make a request for the drag and drop functionality. The dev is pretty open minded about requests and suggestions. he's already implemented alot of users' ideas in no time
Hello, I was wondering if it was possible to to have a folder auto close after you start an app in that folder?
I'm not rooted so is there a stock alternative.
Try a free app called App Organizer.
I love this app!
Auto close is one of its options.

Thanks man, really nice app
Hi Guys
For anybody wanting to organise their applications in folders on the main Launcher screen, give Smart Shortcuts a try, its probably the best App I have found so far, best of all its free
Was using circle launcher before and it was laggy. Smartshortcuts is way better and very fast for me. Thanks for the tip.

That's what I use
Apps Organizer for me. I use it with the LauncherPro dock -- I put the folder shortcuts in the dock, works great, saves space, and it's free

FYI, Folder Organizer is the pay version of Apps Organizer.
Hey guys and gals,
Could not find a topic on this when it came to the Transformer and Honeycomb. What applications are you all using to creating folders with honeycomb? I have not found any thus far that seem to fit the bill for me so thought I would ask the masses.

I think the OP meant app folders on the homescreen. File Manager HD is great, but it doesn't do that. I'm just trying out Simi Folder Widget, but it's too soon for me to say if it's any good.
I've been using apps organizer. Open the app and organize your apps into the categories/labels. Then on home screen you add each as a widget.

Wonderful!
Thanks for the suggestions

I have been using the Folder Organizer app from the same makers as that app. I think its just a skinnied down version of the app organizer.

Well, that wasn't really obvious from what the OP wrote...

+1 on that! It interacts nicely with other apps and is regularly updated!
I didn't get why honeycomb doesn't use folders.. but i guess its okay
I've been using Circle Launcher, but I think i should try others as well, because the circle launcher icon just isn't that pretty.

I use Folder Organizer on my phone, and love it. AM trying it on the tablet, but I'm having it FC when I try to set an icon on Labels (FO's name for folders).
ADW EX Launcher
I would love to have a folder on my home screen that maps to a certain location on my internal/external storage. That way I could store documents in a certain folder in my SD card or storage, and just have a shortcut to them.
Doesn't seem possible with any of the apps listed thus far.

Because you have space for 240 app shortcuts.
Hey guys, just figured I should let you guys know there is a beta for folder organizer 3.4 available from their website (not the Market) that is optimized for Honeycomb. It shows as being used on a Xoom but I'm using it now on my Tab 10.1 without any issues, figure it should work fine for you guys too.

I hate all the App shortcuts being in a big bunch in the Apps Menu. Is there any good apps that I can use to allow me to make folders I can sort them into ?
I would like to root my Xoom and put a newer version on but I don't get all the tech speak and jarganisum now.
Thanks
Most launchers support folders, but folders are only on the home pages. I don't know of any launchers that allow you to sort your apps into folders.

Go Launcher did, but it didn't look as good on the XOOM so it went. . Was looking for a simple app.
Sent from my MZ604 using xda premium
It wouldn't be a simple app. It would have to be a launcher that supported it.
Well this one doesn't need a launcher. I tried it didn't like it. The layout was'nt what I wanted. Also it tried to be to much.
But deff no launcher needed.
''Application Folder'

For serious, I think you should the Nova Launcher, you can create "tabs" with it and organize the way you want the apps, these tabs are the "apps" and "widgets" by default, but you still can create a tab called "games" for example! Good luck.

I was going to suggest the MIUI launcher but then remembered we never got one that supports the Xoom.
