Ever since I upgraded to gingerbread my microbes LWP is too laggy to use. Anybody out there having the same issue? What would be really great would be if somebody would make a new version optimized for gingerbread Droid X. A lot to ask I know but I feel this is one of the best LWP's for android and a lot of people would enjoy it.
go to droid-life.com and search for whatever and they'll have the wallpaper. You will have to flash in CWM.

So I am a little new to the Android hacking scene, but I have most of what I need to know figured out.
My friend has an Inspire, and I loved the HTC Sense and the layout that it had, so I bought myself an Incredible. It was almost the same, but I really wanted mine to be as close to hers as possible. So I've been looking for ROMs that have the new sense version, and I've found a few that seem to work pretty well, like the ported version of the Desire (I believe it is). I also tried on of the Incredible S that was ported over, however that didn't work that well. The question I have is, are there any fully working ones? Ones with minimal bugs, and ones where the camera works?
I also have used the Warm Z rom which has the updated sense, however I am not a fan of the theme/skin that is has. Is there a way to change that? I do like that ROM, but I love the original sense layout.

Hey Everybody-
I'm a highschool student in an anatomy/physio course and I've been looking for a decent 3d model app of the human anatomy for my vibrant running froyo. I can't seem to find anything halfway decent in the market, but I am aware of the 3d Google Body app for android honeycomb. I was wondering if some kind dev might be willing to rework the honeycomb apk to work on normal android smartphones (in this case a samsung vibrant)? I'm not sure how much work this would take, but if someone might be up to the challenge that would be amazing! Thanks in advance for any help.

I also think this would be great. I feel a bit shafted that Google would only release this on Honeycomb. My phone's hardware is plenty powerful for running this.

i'm not a dev but if it's just apk modding i think i can do it..
seems like you could just modify the minimum android version requirement to be 2.2 to at least get it to install. I don't know the difference between honeycomb and phone OSes to know if there are other obstacles than just telling the apk to install.

I have searched for themes and thinks like that but I havent found any good iPhone themes, the only good ones were supported by miui, and the other were not so good.
Im looking for an iPhone theme for the Htc Hd Mini running android, the phone cant run miui but isnt there any other iphone themes? Im not talking about slow crappy themes hehe, I want some good smooth themes. If there is other nice themes, (smooth themes) id like that to!

But they are pretty "laggy" and they arent so good in my opinion, most of them is paid versions

Sry I thought that the themes wouldnt work for my phone bcause its the Mini with android, so I thought I could post it on dev/htc hd mini cause maybe someome worked on it or something.
When thinking after I know there is a Htc Gratia and maybe someone could move this thread there?

I told my mother to buy a Desire S because it had reasonnable specs at a fair price. However I feel bad about the Sense UI that adds complexity and small fonts. I have an HD2 with a Nexus One ROM and could help her much better if she had the Google 'customization'.
So is there a way to disable/remove sense? There is a known trick for the Desire that does not work for the S. Or is there a rom without Sense? I have not seen any in the dev forum.

You can just download LauncherPro or Gingerbread Launcher or any other launcher app from the market
But if you wanna disable Sense completely I don't think there's rom of pure Gingerbread yet ..
Launcher pro would definitely not do anything to simplify things!
I think something like the titanium roms that were available for winmo
6.5 et al would be good. Stripped down and simpler to use without Sense, also faster imo.

my GF just got the new SII bout days ago.
the thing is that UI is so polished that i want that for my nexus s.
tried few rom that given the effect (sorta) but hers (SII) was nicer.
currently my nexus s running NScollab .35 (previously MIUI, Infinity, blabla)
is it possible to achive the same UI as SGSII for my NXS

Hey i assume you mean you like the Touchwiz launcher that comes as standard on the sg2
i havent used it myself as i have a sg2 already, but have a look at this thread

it is a modified tw launcher, that say it works with every •Every device with armv7 processor and froyo or higher.
looked at the link u gave me.
the theme/ui in question still in dev mode
so im not keep to try as really hated FC (got 3-4x per day with earlier ver of NSCollab)
did retry MIUI again (now 1.7.8), can say its better than v1.6.1
so i gonna stick with that first till anything else stable.
