Hello guys!
Let me introduce myself.
I'm lippol94, a young galaxy s user with a big hacking passion! I started using non-stock Samsung ROMs weeks ago (CM7 and MIUI9000) and im very happy with them.
I get the point.
When i'm on MIUI9000 I so miss Invert Colors and UA options of CyanogenMOD browser. So, i managed to port UA menu settings, but I can't figure out how to implement the former.
If you don't know what i mean, i'm talking about the ability of CM browser to switch to black background and white text viewing mode.
Does anybody know which files are involved?
Thanks a lot in advance
P.S.1 : MIUI browser is just stock browser slightly modded to match MIUI style. Nothing more.
P.S.2: I know how to decompile, smaling and baksmaling so i just need to understand what lines should I add to stock browser to implement colours inversion feature]
Bump! Really? None? :-/

I would create this mod myself if I were more competent in the developing things but i noticed in the unofficial cm9 and samsung phones, there is a features that allows the softkeys to automatically turn off after about say 3 seconds of no use of screen or soft keys. This would greatly benefit watching youtube videos and movies in the dark, as well as help battery life a bit i presume. This feature is enabled by default in cm9, so I am sure that this mod is possible to port over to sense-based roms. Anyone else feel the same way?

In fact you are thinking quite the opposite...
A feature found in CM9 that is not in Sense would be hard to port over since we don't have the Sense source code.
A feature found in Sense that is not in CM9 would be easy to port over since we have the CM9 source code. We could recreate the feature to the best of our ability. I believe some people are trying to port the Sense 4.0 Camera over.
That would be a great feature to have them auto dim after a few seconds.
The buttons are so annoying when watching videos in the dark.

First of all: bravo! The browser looks awesome!
After that, I'd like to show you some little problems I've met on my lil' Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0": (sorry I can't add pics)
if you compare the real space for the page that Chrome is giving us:
http: //dl.dropbox.com/u/315701/Screenshot_2012-09-17-22-44-47.png
with the one that your app is providing (is it yours, btw?)
http: //dl.dropbox.com/u/315701/Screenshot_2012-09-17-22-53-03.png
you'll discover that there's really too little space for the web pages :\
I know, there are maybe just few pixels less, but that big fat gray bar is killing me lol
why don't you use all the available space for the bookmarks/start page?
http: //dl.dropbox.com/u/315701/Screenshot_2012-09-17-22-43-57.png
could you please provide the user agent for tablets in the list of the available choices? just use the one that the Nexus 7 is using, for example (as a workaround I've set the one that Chrome is using)
Keep up the good job!

Thankyou For Installing HoloWeb Which Bottom Bar Don't You Like ?
Whats the difference with tint browser?
Im using tint... and would using holo too if there will be playstore automatic updates)
But i want to know whats the difference with tint
Not bad. Maybe takes a second to render clear text when scrolling but its good.
Good one! But still a plenty of work to do. SwiftKey is not showing predictions wherever I type - a login or a message. Used it about ten minutes, in the end I couldn't launch the keyboard tapping on a blank field.
The good thing is I could choose the words to quote in a forum. Stock jb browser and opera fail to do it.
Bravo! Looking forward to seeing this updated!
Great browser, pages loads extremely fast!
2 things though:
- That bar on the end of the page could be more transparent so we could be able to see more of the page
- I don't know if it's just with me but after typing the web adress I want using Swype keyboard and hiting enter button the page don't start loading, I need to click on the browser button to do so and it's a bit annoying.
Despite those 2 things , congrats, it's a great app and definitely I'm setting it as my main browser!
This is tint I assume?
Need better navigation between tabs and get rid of that stupid semi-transparent bar at the bottom.

Pretty good so far. Sexy as hell. Not liking that white bar at the top though, and it has some lag/stuttering.
So far so good on my Sensation running Jelly Bean
Very fast browser. Should add a option to toggle the bottom search bar from showing after scrolling the page. Also a dark/blue theme would be awesome. Look forward to future updates.

Exellent. But maybe you cloud replace that bar at the bottom to an Small button in an corner
sony xperia ray ics 4.0.4

This is pretty cool, only used it a few minutes. Seems to load pretty fast, will use more and give feedback
Hi Guys,
I'm building a more usable toggles for Samsung Galaxy Note II
I'm modding the stock toggles to add more options and and customization through phone settings.
I'm stuck and desperately need someone's advice. I need to do 2 things
1. Add flashlight and airplane mode toggles. (I know blocking mode is a better alternative but some people like me prefer to sleep with the radios off at night, to save battery and our health).
2. I want to disable the animation which happen when you pull down the notification bar and quickly the quicksettings (toggle) buttons move from left to right. I need to disable this feature.
If anyone of you have any ideas please give me a helping hand.
Running WanamLite 2.4 XXDLL7 in Samsung Galaxy Note 2
thanks a lot
First a request: please edit your post title to not look like a prodct name. (See the section guidelines sticky post.)
Secondly, can you give some more information on what you are doing? Perhaps some details on what you are editing, etc. (Currently, your post looks like you want someone to make mods for you... I don't think that's your intention, which is why I'm suggesting that you give more technical detail.)

Sorry, changed the title.
I have already made the following edits...
1. Changed the notification bar background to pitch black from grey.
2. Removed battery percentage symbol (only symbol)
3. Changed toggle button background to pitch black (from blue so now they look much better)
I'm lost on the section of adding airplane mode/ flash light mode.
If anyone has done that please give me a heads up on how to acomplish as I'm totoally clueless on where to begin. I have done loads of modding to SystemUI.apk but kinds lost in this area.
I can share the apks, I dont want anyone to make any mods but give me an idea on what to do...
Thanks...

have you try trace the quickpanel xml?
I'm not sure your level of development experience, but are you aware that adding new functionality to the toggles is a VERY different task than changing some colors or graphics?
Most of the mods I've seen that do this actually bring in a separate apk file for the toggle bar, and then modify the systemui smali to use that alternative toggle bar. One of the most common (at least from what I've seen) to be added to TW is Lidroid's quickpanelsettings (see: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1289896)
Gary
Well this gives me the opportunity to remind everyone that lidroid isnt the origin of this mod.. actually team obssession were the first to introduce it and we werent using any specific apps nor ressource files for this and tsm (team sbrissen mod) were the first to use an app to manage these toggles that was then re-used / re compiled by lidroid...
@op I suggest you have a look a jkay ' s systemui last I checked he was using a systemui that didn't require external resources so you can add only the specific one you need on your xml and the relevant ones in smali side and of course the resources its looking for...
Hope that helps

I wish this was a product already, cause I miss the exact same functionality and the animation annoyed me right from the start.
Any updates on this??

This guide will get you the wanam toggles with the settings app for these toggles. It gives you a choice upto 23 toggles which you can reorder, delete, whatever! Also if you can do this mod then you will be able to incorporate that app into settings very easily. Just search how to add app to settings on google.
Hope if works out for you and don't forget to thank wanam!
XPosed & Modules: "Feature Enhancements" good enough to return to stock rom...?
(if this thread is missplaced please apologize and move it - I think this could take some space and I didnt want to clutter the xposed thread with it)
Henooy guys,
I'm using a Galaxy Note N7000 and since the day I had my first custom rom on my phone (think it was aokp-based) I never wanted to go back to stock.
But now with XPosed Framework and all those modules aiming at replacing all the cool custom-aosp rom tweaks, has game changed?
On Samsung devices for example, you miss out quite a lot of nice features (while gaining others even cooler obv) by using aosp-based roms like no working TV-Out, no multiwindow, no one-hand mode, etc.
So I was wondering if I could get the same experience / features as with one of the "all in one roms" (I'm using rootbox 4.2 atm which has like 100s of customization options) with a stock samsung rom by tweaking things with xposed modules?
Here are a few points that interest me especially:
How about performance hits with heavy xposed customization vs "built-in" customizations of aosp based roms?
How good are the UI customizations like setting color and transparency of status bar and icons etc?
How about Halo / Apps in Floating windows? (yea there is the module, but how good or bad is it compared to "real" halo? or does it work just like it?)
Is there a module to use CM themes? (or is there some other easy way nowadays to "copy" a cm theme to the system framework? I have BlackedOut theme with everything black n white including certain apps, and would really hate to miss out on that)
---
Well it mainly boils down to: How well do the xposed modules implement all those tweaks that the custom roms offer out of the box? And how does performance compare?
I did so much tweaking to my system, and I flashed soooo often already lol, so I'd rather hear some opinions before changing everything again. =)
I'm sure I'm not the first one asking himself this question...?

No youre not
Well, i can tell you this, i also have a N7000 and have already flashed: SweetRom, VengeanceNote, Stunner2 (great!!) and paranoid3....
The problem is i really like the stock features...but hate the "greenish" colour and the damn statusbar......so... i did two things...
1- Installed the AMAZING aroma themes collection by kmokhtar79 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2480358&highlight=aroma)
2- Installed xposed framework and started twiking little things...like disabling clear defaults dialog ...or the battery low alert, the increasing ringtone, the storage warning....and the samsung keyboard delay...
So far...its awesome...and because it work on the things that "are already there" instead of bringing NEW stuff....well there should be no battery drain whatsoever...
Or at least in the case of THOSE modules.... thing my differ from module to module...but if i understood correctly...xposed framework works on what already IS in there...so...should be the same...
Anyway...with those 2 things my stock(-ish?) note is awesome.
With multiple devices, I've noticed that on some custom ROMs Chrome(ium) don't animate when switching between tabs, and don't show the tab previews / thumbnails that if you overscroll it makes a barrel roll, it just looks plain and dragging from the tab indicator doesn't work.
Does anyone know why this is the case? Is there a build.prop option that Chrome(ium) checks for before choosing whether to display the full tab switching experience?
I noticed that on VMOS, an Android emulator for Android, you get the full tab switching experience, but on the ROM I'm using (the host for the Android VM) it doesn't, and since on some ROMs it works and on others it doesn't, I know it's not a hardware limitation.
I don't know where to ask so I'm asking here...
