[Q] CM7 on LG Optimus One, usb connection not working - Android Software/Hacking General [Developers Only]

After flashing cm7 on my optimus, I cannot seem to connect it to the lg pc suite 4... I have already installed all drivers and mass storage works, I need the lg pc suite to work because i need to sync all my contacts and stuff back to my phone after the flashing... Some help will be greatly appreciated

Sounds like you're missing some app (or service) that handles the LG PC Suite. Which CM7 did not come with, you should check in your stock/original ROM under
Code:
/system/app/
or
Code:
/data/app/
for any apps that looks like they're related to the PC Suite.
Then try install them and see what happens.

same problem here
can anyone work on this...thanks

I've done a lot of action, including: replacement of data line, a replacement computer, but still no.
At present, the machine has been used for WIFI update to the official system 2.3.4.already unlocked, but unroot.
What am I to do to recover????Please help, thank you.
Not sure how to solve that problem, but perhaps you could delete any related drivers for your nexus s and try to install this driver after.
Weird that it won't be picked up by a different computer.

[Q] Problem connecting through USB

Hey guys, I have a galaxy 3 with CM7 (kyrillos release) and I'm having a problem when using the phone to transfer files...
When I connect it to any PC without Kies, windows start searching for drivers, but it doesn't find anything, so the phone isn't recognized, and I can't transfer files...
In my pc, with Kies installed, I connected the phone and windows started searching for drivers and found, installed them and it's working fine...
So, what could be done to connect the phone sucessfully in other PCs without Kies?
Thanks
just install kies , it contains some drivers for your sd so the pc can see the sd..otherwise you could use a card reader and connect you sd straight to your pc/laptop
or else got to this thread and download the driver directly
There is no way to get USB storage working without downloading any files?
So I would need to carry with me a pendrive with the driver?!
yes if you don't have internet connection. All usb devices need a driver...
but when I put a pendrive, windows find the driver... but, when I put the phone, windows does not find
there are a few thousand drivers preloaded in windows to increase support out of the box for many devices, it's impossible to include every driver though
i think pendrives use a generic driver anyways
reflash the phone
install adb drivers for samsung in your pc
connect your phone to pc
u can find a small driver pack from google with only 10+m

I think there is no way to conect the phone to pc using cable without installing the drivers. But there is an app that can help you on your purpose, it's the AirDroid, you can find it in the market. With this app you just need to conect to the same wireless network as the computer you want to transfer files, and you're able to transfer files using the internet browser, and others stuff like manage contacts, messages, ringtones, apps...

[Q] Accessing IsolatedStorage from PC

Guys,
I used Windows Phone Power Tools to access my isolatedSotorage folders on my LG Optimus 7, but since I don't want to install the full WP SDK, it doesn't work anymore. Any suggestion? Maybe some other software.
BTW the error WPPT gives me it some missing VisualStudio Assemblies.
Also, I don't like TouchExplorer really much, since it installs Windows Device Manager which I never was able to unistall.
To deploy I just use W.I.N.K.O.S.'s mini SDK

[Q] Problem with USB mass storage

Solved: Hopefully this helps someone else. I uninstalled all LG drivers from my PC. Then I connected my phone in via usb and checked my device drivers and updated them. However, rather than letting Windows find the best MTP drivers I chose to browse my computer and picked from a list on my PC. I selected the Linux drivers and everything works perfectly now,
I have a P509 running WC’s AOKP Milestone #6 but I did something stupid…while cleaning up files and programs I uninstalled my LG usb driver for my P509 and now I can’t get the PC to recognize the phone. I run W7 64 bit and it just won’t connect - not even from recovery. On another XP PC it connects no problem (it has LG driver 4.9.4 installed although I don’t recall installing it) and my laptop running W7 64 bit connects no problem either (it has LG driver 3.6 installed, but again I don’t recall installing it on the laptop either). Installing 4.9.4 or 3.6 on my problem PC doesn’t help. I keep getting an error that “MTP… whatever” failed. It’s driving me nuts. I can use the other computers if I need to but the problem PC is my main unit and more convenient to use for all my needs. Also, the phone is recognized by my work PC which has no LG drivers installed at all, nor could I if I wanted to as I don't have admin rights.
Any suggestions for my W7 PC?
Thanks,

[Q] windows doesnt recognize my phone

i have installed ALL THE DRIVERS regarding the phone. . windows doesnt regoniise it.Mass storage doesnt work too.
Yeah... if you've installed all the drivers, that's why it doesn't work. Uninstall them all, reboot, and only install the right one. Which one is that? Depends on what ROM you have loaded.
USB or Bluetooth? Does the connection work for anything else at that port?
Win XP, 7 or 8?
Froyo, GB, ICS or JB? Which exact ROM in each might make a difference too.
After answering those questions, try the search and you'll likely find the answer.

USB .
WINDOWS 8 . Doesnt work in windows 7 too.
ICS cMIUI ROM
The standard rule on our ICS ROMs is that they use the generic Google Android USB driver, not the specific phone or manufacturer driver. If you have Kies or anything else like that installed, you may need to remove it, especially if you've installed its drivers to every USB port.
Additionally, some ROMs just don't have mass storage support. Make sure you test it in recovery before you say it's a problem with the phone. If you pick a ROM that doesn't have support for something, that's your choice, not the phone's fault. After you validate that your phone can talk to the computer in recovery, reboot to system, wait for everything to finish mounting up, and immediately try to mount USB. If it works, great. If not, looks like your ROM doesn't have that support and you'll only be copying files using AirDroid, Samba-something (lots of options/second words), or recovery.
