Is there one that works on the inspire?

I was wondering the same, i like that keyboard alot
Yeah its not cluttered with everything its simple and works.
I really hope someone can make one. It's such a great keyboard. Loads better than HTC's multi-touch keyboard.

The new Swiftkey X beta has a fairly simple look that might appeal to you. I've been using it and it's pretty good.

I do like the swift key beta. I just downloaded the Smart Keyboard Pro Trial and it's a pretty nice keyboard with great settings. I downloaded it because people said they had a droid x or motorola skin for it but i can't find the skin anywhere on the market.
For Smart Keyboard users, here is the Motorola skin (*attached). And for anyone that doesn't know how to apply it, click here
PERFECT! Thanks Simba!
I've been scouring the net for a droid x keyboard that works with Gingerbread. Can someone with the smart keyboard skin post a screen shot of it?
Sorry about the crappy quality. I took the pictures with my old iPhone 3GS

i been trawlin' the interwebs and have seen that the droidx and evo's keyboards have been extracted and shared to people using other phones. I tried both and neither worked on my xperia. i'm wondering/hoping that someone here has the know how to get one of these keyboards working on the x10. evo one for those oh so useful looking arrow keys and the droidx one because it looks nice
Well, you can install the HTC_IME mod keyboard, which I believe is what the HTC Evo uses, it's here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=624416
And you can even skin it very easily (or use one of the preset skins) by using this website : http://www.gimpsta.com/themer
I think we all agree that the default keyboard on the X10 is BAD, and that this one is far better
it's close. thats what all of htc's android phones use bar the evo. the evo doesn't have a trackball so they put some navigation arrows down the bottom of the keypad.

This is what I want as well, i will post back if i find a working apk.
SlideIT keyboard has arrow keys.. just not on the front keyboard screen - they're on the symbols screens.
I'm dying over here without my Droid X keyboard. I've tried 3 or 4 different 3rd party Droid X clone keyboard that somewhat look like the Droid X style but frankly, they just fail to come close.
The main thing I'm missing is the function you get when you hold the . key down. On the Droid X, if you hold the . key down, you get a pop-up that has all your punctuation etc. On all these other keyboards, you don't.
Anyone made a Droid X port or working on one for Android 2.3.x? MikG 2.3 to be exact.
Thanks!
+1 yeah i like this keyboard too
Yeah I'm dying foe this. If someone gets this done, I'd gladly donate

Apparently they did. It's just called the Gingerbread Keyboard. It's basically the same thing as the Droid-X keyboard.
http://www.xda-developers.com/android/renamed-gingerbread-keyboard/
There is a few different versions, mods, themes etc floating around. I just installed it on MikG 2.3 which is Gingerbread 2.3.3 with Sense 2.1 + 3.0, works GREAT!
I have this one cooked right into my ROM...

Lol...cause manufacturers only have to produce accessories for 1 device, rather than the (insert number here) Android devices that are on the market.
I don't believe that there is a bluetooth keyboard like that created for the Inspire/DesireHD. You could get any old bluetooth keyboard, but it won't work if you're running a Sense ROM (they don't contain the proper bluetooth stack), which is probably why no one's bothered to manufacture something like this, because it would only be useful to rooted users
DOH! Sence has a weakness... bluetooth stack... they rele need to fix it asap! lol the case reminded me alot of my old Tilt2 thats y i was interested.
I do wish that they had some sort of keyboard case.. This was my first smartphone and so I didn't care about having a keyboard or not, but I really really really miss a keyboard now. I guess the next time that I get a phone, it's going to be one with a keyboard.
This is a concept of a Honeycomb app that allows to show an app in "phone resolution":

If Honeycomb is able to resize apps to fit bigger resolutions, why not the other way round to allow some better multitasking?
called cornerstone going into beta pretty soon
http://www.onskreen.com/cornerstone/
Personally i think this is the "great leap forward" that ICS should have had to blow ios out of the
water..
But sadly we are going to have to wait a little for it..

Onskreen is required to be built in into a ROM, which isn't much of a problem if developers can get their hands on it, but for those unrooted ones here, I think Onskreen will never reach our tablets
Galaxy tab 10.1 have something like that (mini applications ) in touch wizard but it is limited to 8 applications only

I have it on my note but there are 2 issues, the themes are just horrible and I dont wanna use predictions I want those prediction boxes gone.. is there a way to set it up like that?
I've got SK X Tablet, and I've got Thumb Keyboard, both purchased for my Galaxy Tab 10.1/8.9. I prefer Thumb, more layout options, more themes, more traditional prediction
I am not into text predictions. Does this keyboard have any improvement over the stock keyboard that came with the note, not including text predictions? Is it faster to type on? larger letters?
Used it on my Dell Streak, liked it on the Streak.
Was a no brainer to install it on my Note
I'm using the phone version and I think it is the best one for Italian prediction.
My typing speed is same between Swype and Swiftkey X (phone version) - the only difference is when I am swyping, I am running only one finger and look relaxed. When using Swiftkey, I look like playing arcade game.
