Nice inexpensive G2 case

I bought this case for my G2, and I LOVE IT!

I got it for $2.30 + $2.33 shipping. It fits great, looks good, and doesn't really add much thickness to the phone at all. It has a matte black finish, and a slightly rubbery feel. Not sticky like the gel case, though. It slips in and out of a pocket just fine. It fits exactly like the T-Mobile brand gel case, just without the added thickness of the gel part.
All of the corners are well protected, and the raised edge around the screen should add some protection there, too. I'm just glad I can set my phone down without scratching up the brushed metal battery cover (any more than it already is). I will try to post up some pics soon. Gotta find my camera or bust out the old N1.
I actually just placed an order for 2 more cases, and the shipping is still $2.33. So for under $7, I'll get 2. One is for a friend, and one is for a spare for me. I figured I'd get it now. Sometimes these deals disappear.
EDIT: To be more precise, the shipping did jump up to $2.95 for 2, so the total was $7.55. There are several different vendors on there with different shipping options. YMMV

just went to amazon to order one...price came up as $1.65 + $2.98 shipping. I upped it to 2 cases and it jumped to $5.96 shipping. I have no problem paying that for 2 cases but how did you get it to stay at $2.33 shipping?

Probably a different vendor. Like I said, it was the one selling for $2.30. Can't go wrong either way, though.
Each vendor has different shipping options and policies. I edited my post above to reflect that.

I got that same case from Amazon (for a bit more $) but sent it back because it got in the way of the touchpad, which I use pretty extensively for navigating, copy/paste, etc.
For $5 that case is a great deal!

Picked a couple up. We shall see how good these work. The one thing I can see being annoying is make it more difficult to use the touch pad.
Boogy

The trackpad still works the same for me, and I have big thick awkward sausage fingers. This case is super thin. In fact, it seems to have eliminated the issue of the optical trackpad activating on its own occasionally. It hasn't done it once since I installed the case.
It doesn't seem worth it to return a case that only costs a couple of dollars. You'd have to pay that much to just ship it back! I wouldn't go overboard and order like 10 of them unless you already know you like it though...
The gel case at T-Mobile definitely makes the trackpad hard to use, though. Its very thick, even around the optical trackpad. Inner monologue: "Enough about the gel case already...everyone knows you hate it!" Is it weird I have conversations with myself sometimes?
I'm a cheapskate when it comes to accessories, so the price trumps all for me! Not to mention, flat black is always AWESOME.

Is there any way to remove the cover once you put it on? its really snapped on tight. I mean the fit is great, but im worried i wont be able to take it off if i ever need to get in the back.

what i usually do is on the upper left of the phone (the keyboard portion) you can see a clip. I dig my nail in there and kind of pry that off, then shift the back casing side to side till all of the rest snap off. The top same deal, but I think the clip is near the search button or mic.
Then again this is the Tmobile Gel one. The one from amazon still hasn't shipped yet!

Better case for the sk4g

Currently using the bodyglove case that t-mo sells. I really don't like it. Anybody know of anyone else selling a good case for our phone?

I haven't found one either, ordered one online but it makes the phone look chunky and it hits the keys when I open/close the screen part (it was cheap)
I suggest using the "skinz" stuff people sell for phones. It's made out of 3m control tac which is actually really durable. I work with the stuff so I put some on my battery cover and it works great, not too slippery and protects from scratches, I've seen a few people selling on amazon for the sk4g that's how I got the idea.

If you want to protect your phone without using a bulky cover or one that doesn't fit your phone quite right than I highly recommend Phantom Skinz.
I have had one on my T-Mobile G2 for 6 months, fitted it myself and haven't had any issues with it and it looks great. I'm currently looking at getting my partner a T-Mobile Sidekick 4G from the US as shes had it with her Samsung Galaxy S and will more than likely buy her a Phantom Skin at the same time.

Im waiting for otterbox to come up with a solution. I wasnt pleased with the answer when I asked the invisible shield kiosk if they carried a screen for the SK4 either.. they said they dont have it yet and they cant just 'cut a bigger one down' because it voids the warranty.. I may still cut one down from the spare one I had from my galaxyS

I don't use a case for mine.. it's already bulky as it is. I do recommend using a screen protector - the one t-mobile sells works perfectly fine, except that at the top where the LEDs are there is an unremovable bubble. It was 15 dollars for two protectors - a little expensive but compared to how much the phone costs it's well worth it. I guess you can buy some online but I didn't want to wait

i got two hard shell cases on ebay, one for my wife and one for myself. we both have the sk4g. i paid 3.95 for one and 4.95 for the other. cant remember which cost what, but mine is black and my wifes has designs, that could have something to do with the price difference. they do scrape the keys when opening/closing the screen, but for what i paid, not complaining. phone still fits in my pouch with the shell, so it works for me. i dont have a link, but the seller was ZyDistro. fast shipping, too. ordered on wednesday, shipped thursday, got here saturday from california.

I just bought 2 cases this weekend via Amazon. Several styles are only $1!!! I got Body Glove for me and Pink rubberized case for my wife.

Sorry to revive something that hasn't been poked in a while but I have an SK4G I bought from my sister and her friend and the hardcase they gave me with it is very smooth and has hearts and butterflies on it (Not saying it's not cool looking but it makes me look a little immasculine. I never go around without my phone in a case due to a few other phones being just fine until that one drop just completely screws it up. I would like a new case that feels nice, protects the phone and looks good, I tried looking for an otterbox but the one I saw was just a box to put your phone in, not very accessible or keyboard friendly at all. So what can I do for this?

Just keep rockin the butterflys yo lol i been using the same black rubber gel type case tbey had at the tmo store when i bought this junk phone.its ok, got a lil loose after a year. just ordered what appears to be the same type off amazon but in blue and white. Thinking about that plastic case work the part that goes over the screen and just using that part with the gel case.but I'm with the comment above, anyone use that bodyglove with the kick stand? I got something similar for one of my s2 kick is nice but the case sucks.no protection and actually has killed the edges of my s2.and its fugly to boot

Check out ebay, they have a bunch in different styles and colors. I bought a few different kinds before I found one I liked. They are as cheap and a few dollars.

the case that covers the backside and around the phone is impossible to remove without this tool XP, so instead of using this piece, I see the belt clip case, but keep the one on the screen

I had this same exact case for my G2x, It wasn't as nice and didnt fit as well as it looked on the web. I really miss the fusion case I had for my MT4G that one was my favorite case. It was very similar yet much better. I've had my TPU case for a few days now, and I've found that it obstruct a micro-USB cable so it does not solidily stay plugged in. Do you have this issue as well or did I just get a bad vendor? (I have this one - http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0054HA45A )

bought that kind, dont have it yet. did have on on my mt4g, worked beautifully. Fav case ever. usb port was a little tight on generic usb cords, but the htc cables have small heads that fit fine.

In my searches for a good TPU case, I came across this: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=180699200569&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT#ht_738wt_1037. It's cheaper than the TPU-Cases brand and it also comes with a screen protector. I think it looks great with a matte/gloss dual finish, but I'm not sure if I should buy it with the lack of a power button cutout.

I REALLY like the way that one looks, and with free expedited shipping, its worth trying. It't be sweet if it were orange though.

I just ordered 1 of this hard rubber and 3 of this tpu cases.
I believe they have a very good price and high quality.

I bought this case last week and it is the best tpu case I have ever seen or used! Looks so sexy on the sensation. It has all the extra holes on the back as well and it fits like a glove. The seller is also selling one for $2 more with a screen protector. Can't say how the sp is as I haven't tried it, but I highly suggest this case.

where are the kickstands?!? this is billed as an uber multi media phone and 1. it does not come with a kickstand to watch movies and 2. I have not seen any kickstand cases outside of the bulky body glove one. This is infuriating to me.

They dont have the holes in them like the other cases. I read somewhere that they were needed, that some cases were pulled due to no holes. the 3 at the top 2 at the bottom...

For the mesh case, I got one for my previous HD2, and it stained the back (soft rubbery surface part). My colleagues got one such red hard case (not mesh) and it happened to her Desire as well.
Now I am rather weary of using such coloured hard case..

Only thing I don't like about these barely there type cases, is they are a royal pain to get on and off. Pair it with ghost armor and your device is bulletproof! But good luck pulling the battery lol.

Excellent price, delivery nearly everywhere. Delivery took 12 days to US, and shipping is free.
Just received mine and it's as advertised. Getting my replacement Sensation tomorrow so haven't tried the case on the phone yet, but it looks like it will be very good. Very thin, which is what I wanted. Holes are cut in the case for each switch and hole on the phone.
I'll update once I've installed it and used it more.

I would have to agree, the prices seem a little out of whack in relation to other products out there. The seller would really have to list key deferential features from their product to others being sold to help me understand the price difference.
Plus it looks like you would have to wait close to a month before having the product in hand, that to me is a really long time.

I just bought the knock off one from ebay and it arrived yesterday. Works well for me. Im waiting for the mesh black one. I had that on my desire and now the sensation. It feels better in my hand than the non-mesh one

I look at those mesh cases and imagine how much dust and gunk will accumulate in the holes in a month or two or three. May feel good, but don't they get nasty after a while? Just take it off and wash it out?

LG V10 Cases

This looks like a great device for me and I want to start searching for some nice accessories to order. Do you have any recommendations?
Update: I found this Ringke FUSION on Amazon. Looks pretty nice and I have good experience with Ringke cases. Think I'll try it out.

Sadly, I have checked will mostly all of the case manufacturers for some odd reason no one plans to make a case for the LG V10. I checked with UAG, Verus, Spigen (Still waiting), Supcase (Still waiting), Otterbox (Still waiting), Artech21, etc. Those that have still waiting have not responded. The others have said they have no plans on a case at this time.

I only want the official folio case. I've grown to really like them from the G2,3,4.. Haven't found any info yet.

I have a contact with the sales rep at Otterbox and there looking into it but nothing yet. The phone is still not out yet, so we just have to wait.

I'm liking the look of the official quick window case. It looks shiny instead of the weird fake leather. I can't seem to find any other photos of it. I'm hoping it will snap on the back like the one for the G3 did.

I did speak to otterbox yesturday. The have a case in the works. Once its ready I will be getting one for review. Its on their website as well. http://www.otterbox.com/en-us/lg-v10-cases Great company very responsive to market demand.

Looks like there will be an officialbumper case from LG. Looks really nice if the seller is the real deal.

Has anyone gotten any news on the official quick window case? With the durability rating on this phone, I don't see needing a super rugged case and I loved the quick window on my G3.

I ordered an extremely inexpensive matte black TPU Case on Sunday,not 100% certain I'd even be getting the phone.

I liked the phone enough,getting back all the features my Note 5 jettisoned,not to mention the 2nd display.
Now,with announced pricing of $599 on T-Mobile & the freebie package of battery kit & 200GB SD Card thrown in free of charge,looks like the case will arrive the exact day of retail availability on T-Mobile (10/30/15).
If I can manage to Jump my Note5 for this,it'll be a hard decision,especially with all the excellent TW ROMs out.
Having both sounds nice,but,going from previous experience,one will eventually find itself collecting dust,much like my Nexus6 did.
My S-Pen usage can be adapted using LG's tools,as my S-Pen use is not in-depth to any measure,but,I will miss the screen-off use,very convenient & I use it frequently.
Now,back to case usage,this one probably won't get much use,only in the most extreme circumstances.
I'll be getting the bumper frame,once the price drops below the ridiculous range.

I ordered a Ringke Fusion (smoke) from Amazon yesterday. I should be picking up the phone on Friday and want to keep it looking nice. Once more cases show up, I'll probably get something else (Diztronic? Maybe? Pls?).
