Anyone know if a new root has been developed for the mytouch LG-E739? Phone got updated to...
Android Ver 2.3.6
Kernel 2.6.35.7-perf
Build GRK39F
Software Ver. V10r-Mar-13-2012
Update killed everything on my phone. So if you have root dont install it if you want to keep it. Any help or new root method would be greatly appreciated!
re rooting lg e739
What did you use to root it initially? What have you tried to reroot it? I'm not a developer but I do own a lg e739. I was worried the update would potentially stop us from rooting and think if you tell me a little bit we can find a way to get past it.

So no replay ?
odds are you will not be able to. The only think i could think of was if you dumped the rom/kernel and push su binary and apk and then reload back to the phone.

I'm not sure this is still useful, but I just used Kingroot. I hate Kingroot and Kingoroot, but it worked so...
I rooted my phone a few months ago and everything was fine. But recently I was prompted to install to 5.0 Lollipop update. I tried and it failed. After some googling I thought it was the fact that I'm rooted. So I unrooted it and now no matter what I do with ODIN it fails.
I've tried:
Changing my kernel. I tried two different kernels, both failed.
Installing Lollipop through 3 different methods. They all failed. (OTA update, through ODIN, recovery mode with the update on my SD card)
Basically ODIN always fails, and any other one-click root method fails as well. (Towelroot, Kingo App, MobileGo Wondershare)
Backstory: The only thing I can think of causing this much trouble is the fact that when I rooted my phone I had to use an old kernel. Everything was failing so I had to roll back my kernel in order to root. I did that. And then my WiFi stopped working. So I changed my kernel back to the original one. I don't know if this would do anything but figured it was worth mentioning.
The goal is to get the 5.0 update installed on my phone. I will settle for just re rooting my phone though.

Hi All,
I would appreciate a little help please?
I have a Samsung Galaxy Xcover4ltexx SM G390F
Bootloader Version: G390FXXU2ARA4
PDA Version: G390FXXU2ARA4
CSC Version G390FXXU2ARA4
BaseBand Version: G390FXXU2ARA1
Android Version 7.0 / SDK 24 (Nougat)

I am trying to root this phone.
On the phone Settings in the developer options I have
Turned on OEM unlock
USB debugging is ON
I went with what I thought would have been the quickest and easiest option
And ran KingRoot on the PC. This failed me at 98%
I retried several times to no avail.
I then tried other quick root programs. None would root the phone.
I downloaded Odin3_v3.10.6_plus_CF_Auto_Root.
CF-Auto-Root-xcover4lte-xcover4ltexx-smg390f.tar.md5
I followed the instructions step by step and this failed to root my phone
I tried using all the ODIN PROGRAMS up to Odin3_v3.13.1.
All I have manage to do is wipe my phone and put it back to Factory default settings
3 times. I am sick of rebuilding my phone with all my apps and data.
Can anyone give me a step by step guide in how to root this phone successfully.
Thanks, in anticipation of some good advice.

Hi, did you have any success with this in the end?

Same here, wasted 6 Hours trying..
tried Kingo Root, Odin 3.13.1 with Auto-root, had to wipe and reinstall via Odin many times OFW.
Only positive Thing is I could install OFW newsest build, but still no luck rooting.
Details:
PDA: G390FXXU2BRH3 CSC: G390FAUT2BRH3 CHANGELIST: 14164118 BUILD DATE: 21.08.2018
Tried firmware.mobi as well, no lucky, Always forced to reload OFW after reboot.
I ran out of Options, time to Sleep and hope to find something more tomorrow.
I'm tempted to get One Click Root for 40$ and see if it works.
Did you ever get your phone rooted?
I have the W version of the xcover4 and I can't seem to root it for the life of me
