Hi,
I am running stock 2.1.1 with milestone overclock [email protected] but I have some freeze while i use camera record 720p.
I tried to replace some files in /system/lib like camera.so with khalpower's one but my phone wasn't able to boot again after so, I had to restore with openrecovery.
Can someone help me to have camera like in khalpower's rom but in stock 2.1.1.

Thank you but I did'nt find any app and khalpower's Rom one isn't usable on stock rom so, can someone help me ?

There's not much active development on 2.1.1 anymore.

The problem is that some apps are in english on custom ROM and the most advantage is that camera record don't freeze in 720p so, maybe there is a simple way to improve camera framerate in 2.1.1 because it's done in 2.2.

Hey Im leaving to go to my friends house and i will be very busy with work tomorrow but i thought id post this up with some of the changelog.
This is a froyo rom based off the ota update given to nexus owners as FRF83. and here is some of what has been done.
Camera is still broken
-lots of things fixed by avalauch (sensors,lights,bt) Thanks a ton for the great work!!!!
-removed unnecessary data chunks from png files
-compressed some system apks
-added rom manager
-added file explorer
-added sprint tv
-added optional kernels
-added su and chainsdd superuser apk
-added more xbin tools (busybox etc.)
-more done but will ad later

flash the overclock patches on top of the rom. flash stock kernel to go back to stock kernel
the trick to getting kernels to boot:
when booting wait for the system force close. when u see it press power and click force close. then power off and repeat until you see the lockscreen

No. It won't. Its a custom kernel.
Cameras wont work with froyo on Evo until the source is released.

Not necessarily true. Avalaunchmods has it PARTIALLY working with a 3rd party camera app. Our brilliant devs CAN get it working, but it's going to take some time (hopefully soon though).

lol camera is broken on froyo. it has nothing to do with the kernel. the kernel would break camera if it worked
I am guessing the 1.14 kernel would be best for battery performance?
Flash you r kernel on 2.1, broken camera.
EvenToasts thread says kernel breaks camera.
So why find software patch when kernel breaks it?

yes it is the latest and greatest.
i'm assuming you haven't had time to apply the 4g from source yet so wimax probably doesn't work but does mms work on this rom?
BT headset works with this one or is it just a2dp?
so I would download Hero_Froyo_1.zip and flash it using recovery? would I need to flash the kernel too? sorry for the noob question.

mms is still broken using stock. use handcent for mms. i havent looked into the 4g source i will tomorrow. and im pretty sure bluetooth is a2dp only. someone test as i dont use bluetooth.

Before i try to install this i have a few questions. Is it possible to return to the Original Version of android that came installed on my phone, if yes how do i do this and secondly do i have to use recovery to install this?
I did it with a German Defy @ uk rom 2.51 tested rooted and the handler has rom some bugs, youtube does not play videos, music + video player not working, no email app (only the gmail is integrated) umts does not work out for all users Android-help forum.
but it is super fast, would be fun without the bugs

flash this via rsd lite and it should work: 2.51boot.zip
i had a 2.51 the flashed this rom and then the file above and problems gone.
this is the best rom because i have root acces over adb with this so i can use android commander todo any thing. thanks handler
I'm trying to flash this rom and am having issues with moving it into the correct folder. I have droid explorer on my comp and am trying to get into the backup folder but it keeps saying it's an invalid file path.
It never asked me for superuser permission for my computer is there a way for me to change that? I think the computer doesn't have permission.

Do you get UMTS(3g) with that fix in spain too?
I just got this rom working on my Defy. Only problem is that the Contacts app isn't working correctly. It doesn't display my sim contacts.

I just installed the rom on my UK T-Mobile Moto Defy, and with the exception of the missing email app, everything so far seems to be working absolutely fine.
Quadrant scores:
1103 (std / no overclock)
1323 (Milestone overclock at 1200mhz)

Hi, I'm having issues with my stock camera and downloaded camera apps. Whenever I chose to use the front facing camera it always force close. Any help or suggestion to fix this is greatly appreciated.

Which phone mate and what ROM?

DID you try any custom camera? If not do that and see if the issue is with the stock camera

Yeah, already done that by downloading camera jb+ on Google market . Same issue

Must be a bug with the ROM. Try re-flashing the ROM after a full wipe, and see if the issue persists. If that doesn't help, its back to stock then.

Please someone help me. I intalled a new kernel and ROM on my Xperia Play (R800i) and when i try to make a video the cam app freezes and sometime force close, sometime the whole system restarts. What's wrong?

its most likely the rom, its not stable yet, did you check the Bugs on the rom thread.

Yeah i've checked but it sais the 720p version produci this problem but i've installed the 480p version. I've got aqn other problem... i checked my root permisson and SD maid sais i have this but Titanium backup sais i don't have the root permission, so the app won't work. Why? Maybe if i install the older version of this ROM solves the problems? Do you have a tip for a perfectly working gamer ROM for my device and for this kernel?

you might have to enable root, some roms are like that. i think to enable it you would have to turn on developer settings. as for gaming, its pretty sad that the "play" only got a a 1ghz processor. some phones with CM get the option to overclock their phones to what CM think it safe for the phone. i could be wrong but this rom also looks overclocked http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2201338 to 1.4ghz which is pretty nice.
I have a 64gb US version of the OnePlus One, if I use the Stock CM Camera the flash won't work... but if I use the Android camera the flash works fine.
Anyone else?

from now on my camera dont work at all i did try some way to get back to orginal apk of camera from one plus one but after instal icon of app is despairing what i need to make to return to orginal apk of camera if there is any way to make it work proper ?

Seems to be a conflict between stock and google camera. Uninstalling the google cam and deleting stock cameras app data under Apps fixed that for me.

You must be on HDR so just swipe vertical until Auto again . flash will work again
