How to get power widgets & recent apps? - Thunderbolt General

I have the Perfect Storm rom that comes with the power widgets, which are awesome with a capital A. I saw a mod for it to add the recent apps back in, but installing it from recovery fails.
Does anyone know how to get both the power widgets and the recent apps?
I've seen a screenshot with someone with it here:

Thanks!

Didn't work in recovery because they are metamorphs. Can't be installed via recovery. Not sure if its written out here but on the mikmik forums there is a how-to for using the metamorph. I'm on the perfect storm1.3 beta 1 and have both the power toggles and recent apps in my pull down.

[BUG] DamageControl 2.06 - HTC Widgets

Anyone have a fix to get the new HTC widgets to install correctly on the new dc rom? when i install them from the market i get an error saying its incompatible or something like that. is there a fix? i searched the 2.06 thread with no luck.
they are already in the rom?? sometimes you have to go into Settings > Manage Apps > HTC Sense > Clear Data for them to show correctly

I think the OP is referring to the downloadable HTC widgets such as battery widget, etc. These will not install from the Market nor do they show up when clicking to download from the widget list to add to home. I too, would like to know a work around to install (not a different widget on the Market) because I really miss the HTC battery widget.

Oh, shoot my bad.
For some reason, the Download new HTC widgets button worked on my v2.0 rom. It showed the downloadable ones and worked on the HS

I think the widget isn't installing because it isn't an official ROM, but that is just a guess.
Could be part of the problem. However, it did install on the Eris based 2.1 roms which had very different frameworks than the Sprint based 2.1 roms. I believe that is the real problem. The Eris roms were more like the Sprint 1.5 roms framework wise.
Just wondering if anyone's found a fix for this? I miss my battery widget lol
still waiting for this myself. hopefully it will work with the release keys

[Q] How do I install themes, specifically for CM7?

I couldn't find any useful threads for newbies. I want to try this one: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1310925
Thanks.
It's from the market, go to the market and install it. Then apply from theme chooser.
I followed the steps for installing gapps from the bible thread. However, I don't see the app in applications. If I hold down on an icon, I see a market icon next to choose catalog and app info. It takes me to my home if I press it though.
Edit: Had to do a fresh root. It works now.

[Q] Stock Digital Clock & Volume Wake Up

Hi, I'm quite new to putting a new rom on my phone, but so far loving the results but just have a couple of questions if anyone can help??
I have just installed an ICS rom, and I quite like the simple weather widget it comes with as stock, is there a Digital Clock widget to match it, I cant seem to find one, but I am sure I've seen one somewhere.
And secondly, is there a tweak somewhere that will allow me to have Wake On Volume keys?
There is not one in the settings maybe there is a downloadable one somewhere?
Thanks

Widgets in ics are more or less a problem right now. There are only few, because until there is a stable version it will be held as clean as possible. You can use any widgets from market not made for a special launcher. Try Android widgets pro, even if it had no digital clock though.
I think cm9 is the only ics ROM with volume key screen on, even if I'm not sure whether it's supported or not.
But there are other non-ics roms supporting that feature. I'm using endymion 3.4 and always waking up my screen with volume keys. On cm7 there was the same feature for sure.

Holding Down Home Key vs. App Manager

What am I seeing when I hold down the Home key on my skyrocket? (stock ICS, using Apex launcher if relevant)
It looks like a list of open apps that I can scroll through, but its showing apps that the Active Apps widget that is part of stock is not showing...
Its showing recent apps both open+closed.
App manager only shows you what applications are currently active (i.e. apps that are using CPU cycles or are currently residing in the RAM.) Holding the home key brings up screenshots of recently used apps so as to make a quick way to return to apps that you were just using instead of having to dig around in your app drawer to find and "relaunch" them. Gingerbread only had a small pop-up window that showed the icons of the latest 6(?) apps you've used, which was handy enough, but I love having the screenshots in ICS.
Thanks guys. This is helpful - both in helping me understand the difference and also helping me figure out a good use for that function!

Things I'd like to do with my N5. Possible?

While using the stock rom...
1. Can I get a "Reboot" option on shutdown menu?
2. Possible to rearrange or even change the "Back, Home, Recent Apps" buttons? I'd like to swap the Back and Home button locations. Maybe replace recent apps with something I actually use.
3. Possible to add more items to the settings tiles accessed from the pulldown?
4. Is it safe to disable Google+ if I'm running an alternate launcher? Will any apps like Chrome or Gmail stop working (not sure if they're tied in)? I have an alternate gallery app installed so Photos and Gallery will be unused. Hangouts is already disabled on mine. Alternate SMS app installed.
Thanks for your time.
You need to gain root (methods are available on this forum) then download xposed framework, (also on this forum) then download a module called Gravity Box included in the downloads part of Xposed Installer. It allows what you're looking for on Stock Rom.
Edit: I forgot, in my case I hate the soft keys so I used Ultimate Dynamic Navbar to do what you want with rearranging/customizing. Also look into LMT launcher, it allows a lot of customization and includes all of the normal hard keys and app drawers.
1&3 as above
2 I've not seen yet
4 yea get rid the it, nothing will happen
