Regina 3D Launcher - G Tablet General

I do not know if anyone has already wrote this, i checked in search and i do not see it, but the new Regina Launcher works for the Gtab I downloaded today and it is really cool to have the 3D launcher and the best part is it is FREE!!!!
https://market.android.com/search?q=regina+3d+launcher&so=1&c=apps

Checked out a video of this launcher on YouTube and it looks really, really slick.

I have it on my galaxy S and it works pretty good. It's a bit sluggish but has a lot of potential. Hopefully they continue to improve it.
I'm not sure it would be all that good on a tablet though..

It does look really slick, and is quite smooth on my gtablet. But it's forced into portrait mode, no way to turn it to landscape
Will contact the developer, see what they say.

Yeah, that sucks, I suspect if more and more people let them know that it runs on the Gtab then they might make some teaks to it to run smoother and auto rotate. Just wanted others to know that there is some kind of alternative to the 15.00 SPB shell thats nuts! It is somewhat buggy though esp on reboot

What ROM's does it work with?

It should work on any rom. I tried it on CM7 and it was nice. Only portrait. When I viewed the drawer, it showed black squares instead of the applications that I had installed.

So vagen should work?

Yeah I posted the request on their Facebook fan page and they do not have any plans to implement landscape right now.

[REQ] Bare Bones speed launcher

We've seen some great launchers recently, and I just want to put it out here what I'm looking for, and maybe some others too.
I would like to see a launcher that switches screens as snappy as how the default gallery app swipes from one pic to the next. It's really snappy, smooth, and bouncy. It's different from the iphone-esque style (which the 7screen launcher does a great job at). I just prefer the sliding of the gallery app more.
No other fancy things like extra buttons on the bottom, extra screens, tweaked app drawers, auto-rotate, or things like that. Those extra features are great to play with, but I would love a keeper launcher. The default launcher is perfect, except for the kind of choppyness it exhibits when going screen to screen.
Not sure how welcome request threads are, but I figure I'd give it a try. I'd try to make one myself...if only I knew the first thing about doing so.
Keep up the great work, devs.

Second this.
Use his BASIC [FAST] Launcher.
It is VERY quick, the scrolling issue is entirely gone.

[APP][LAUNCHER] Golauncher by Go devteam

First time I've been impressed by a launcher other than adw or launcher pro.
Very cool app drawer that you long hold to edit all the items in. You can then click the little x's to uninstall appear or move them around to your liking. There is a recent tab in the appear list. As well as a running tab with a kill all button and a kill each app manager.
It scrolls and transitions as smoothly as launcher pro. The desktop has a lot of neat features too. This is one you guys really need to try out. I dunno if it started as an adw knockoff because of the similar look or not. But it is really stable and really unique now.
Needs widget residing and scrollable widget support. But once it gets that it will definitely be the best on the market. And it has already taken over as the default on my phone.
Imma definitely be recommending it to friends and maybe do a writeup on evobenchers
Grab it on the market. Looks like they also male a pretty sweet sms apply that I'm trying out. All their file sizes are so small I love the low memory footprint of the launcher and the sms app. Keepers
defly a good look!! it's like a mashup of ADW, LauncherPro, and MIUIish, and add a little TouchWiz... I like! Very fast and ingenious
That launcher is slick! Thanks for the find!
Yea it does incorporate a lot of good ideas from them all. I hope launcher pro doesn't try to shut them down or anything since they are a payapp

Np dude. I figured if I just found it today then a lot of people didn't know about it. After all it must have been only a week ago I searched for "launcher" on the market to try out all the knew ones and didn't see this one for some reason. Maybe it is that new, I dunno.
Definitelyhad to spread the word though.

[AppRequest] Sidebar App-dock

I realize that there is already an app like this on the market called "Smart Taskbar", and its a good app. I just dont like the UI, and it seems really cluttered. So i was wondering if a developer could rip the side app-docks from pandahome and turn them into an app. The pandahome side docks, are smooth, simple and elegant. i attached some screenshots of what they look like closed and opened. you can have up to 3 seperate docks on each side of the screen, and they are scrollable so you can put unlimited apps in each one. they are accessible from any homescreen (not a widget or shortcut, nor do they impede widget or shortcut place as they are not part of the homescreen layout).
i know the coding would be tough, but damn they are sexy.
PS - hate pandahome, but i love this feature....just in case anyone wants to say "just use pandahome, then".....its buggy as hell
Anyone, just me i guess?
bump againnnnn...ive wanted this for so long
Have you heard of the new SwipePad app? It only has one screen for shortcuts, but the upside is it can be activated from ANY app you have open. It's still in beta, and was put on the Market less than a month ago so it's still in the very early stages. Later they may implement more screens.

To all you amazing dev's: Anyone interested in porting this to us? i think this launcher looks fantastic. Take a look at that vid, and here are the posts with files for it.

edit: looks lke i was wrong its not VEGA, its PoV Mobii . I still think its really neat.
I think gojimi* already ported this in the themes n apps section.
http://vegantab.gojimi.com/downloads/
look on that page for 3d launcher v 1.0
hmmm, i'll have to look deeper.
As a side note, I pulled the zip from http://android.modaco.com/content/advent-vega-vega-modaco-com/329946/3d-desktop-plugin/#entry1567646 (backed up) and ran the bat after ADB found the device. it works like a champ. not customizable, but neat looking. It's worth a few moments as a diversion, but VTL.Launcher is still my fave
I guess i'm still looking for new and creative ways to brick my device. It didn't work this time, I'll have to try harder.
I assume this probably won't work on TNT then?
i dont see why not, it seems like another launcher.
Cool launcher but I would like to be able to change the apps on the dock. Until then. Back to VTL.
Its a very cool interface. Just seams like a demo though. Really like how it feels like a tablet interface should. Just wish you could change out links on the bottom bar. This is good progress for the future of tablets though. I really love vtl lately it will be my daily as soon as gingerbread gets hardware exceleration. Till then I'm sticking with beta 5.1.1 and launcher pro.
Is there a thread for this launcher in the themes and apps section? Did a search but I couldn't find it.

[Q] App Request: Old Danger Sidekick Launcher

I was searching the Android Market for a new launcher for my Sidekick, but most of them are more likes themes of the basic Android launcher. The handful that offer something truly different aren't developed enough to warrant using. So, is there a dev out there interested in making a home screen replacement launcher that's a clone of the old Danger Sidekick homescreen?
Looking at the few videos of the older sidekicks ui i want to say....... why? seams like it uses alot more space compared to the asop launchers. closet thing i can even remotely look at an comes to my mind when i see a old sidekicks user interface is what sony puts on their phones.
Circle launcher looks promising: https://market.android.com/details?id=de.dbware.circlelauncher (also a free "Lite" version)

Why? Well, it's unique for one thing. There are other launchers available that do similar things, but they aren't refined enough in their functionality and/or don't look right. Here's basically what I have in mind. I'd want a launcher with 2 home screens. The 2nd one would be where I'd want the bubbles to be. That would be the one on the right. The bubbles would have to be on the right hand side of the screen in landscape and at the bottom in portrait mode. The other screen on the left would be for widgets only. The launcher would need to support folders well too for things you want to keep in them like an 'All Apps' folder. This carousel would need to play nice with the trackpad too (a lot of docks on other launchers are similar but don't work well with the trackpad). In other words, the carousel concept is a blend of the dock and icon grid. Here's another WHY: Putting all of the icons on the carousel would clean up the screen so I can see pictures of my wife and children without all the icons blocking the view. So, that's a bit of my thinking in a nutshell. There simply isn't anything like this out there for Android.

I agree. This is something i would enjoy very much.
the only issue with this is a lot of people (including me) have disabled their track pads on the phone due to the optical joystick glitch when out in sunlight. I wish I had my old launcher from my old sidekick, but I do not see how it would work with this phone considering its physical fault.
Both the sk4g n the og sk have the same landscape based design I think it would be very possible to have the wallpapers and theme icons. For the og line

Well, I'd imagine you could manipulate the bubbles with a touch of the screen as well. Believe it or not, some actually did this already...to an iPhone! If you dig around enough on YouTube, you can probably still see it.

FYI, here's one of the 2 videos on YouTube where a guy made a functional Danger Sidekick homescreen for the iPhone.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZDG11kliWWw&feature=youtube_gdata_player
here is the closest thing i've come to find thats like the interface you are wanting though there is no landscape mode for this which is a "mild" pain.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wU2gGI8KVhY
My suggestion is to drop a message to the dev of that launcher on market place an see if they can do some minor addons to work in landscape an possibly ability to change icons (if you so badly want the older danger icons)
"Orientation Control" can force any program into landscape. It's inexpensive and effective.
It's the only app of its kind that works. And, it works like a charm.
Developer support for landscape is no longer an issue. It all runs landscape now; rather it wants to or not.
Recommended.

That's a very cool launcher. Thanks for the suggestion. It just might work if it had some more functionality. I'll send the dev a message.
oh well, this launcher, while cool isn't going to cut it soon enough. I wonder if that guy who made the Sidekick launcher for the iPhone would be interested in making one for the Sidekick 4G.
