Hey guys. I am currently making my own Desktop dock w/ usb hub, sound input/output, and speakers. I kind of want to make a tutorial on this, but before I go through all that effort I want to know if anyone would be interested.

It's taken about 2 days so far. I would probably be done by now if it weren't final exam period. I already had the speaker system and cables and I've spent around $40 on other stuff like balsa wood, glue, sandpaper, and a few other things.

It's balsa wood which you can buy at almost any craft supply store.
I'm glad to see I've sparked some interest. Hopefully I will have some time in the next week or so to finish it. If not, my exams are over on the 21st so I will definitely be able to finish it a couple days afterwards.

Haha I should have known what you meant. There are 2 different ones. The first image is of a USB hub that I took apart, and the second is the amplifier that came with those speakers (stole from a portable speaker). I will post more details later on when I have time so stay tuned!
How do you plan to finish the balsa wood?
Just thinking of doing something similar, but I have no idea how to make the balsa nice and shiny...

I'm covering it in Bondo, then sanding it down until it's smooth enough to paint. Keep an eye on this post as I will be updating it as I go.

I am interested in the secret kickstand as well...
If it doesn't work as one, I wonder how difficult it would be to buy the casing from another phone that DOES do the kickstand thing and modify it...

Very smart move by T-Mobile if you ask me. They give him a free G-Slate and he "has" to support it, and bam it creates more sales paying for itself.
Haven't seen a thread for this, thought it might be fun for people to post pictures or describe how there setup is.

We have just been using a seidio case with kickstand, but had thought about something like your's though. Shame it isn't an old xbox controller that had the slots on top, would make for easy expansion.
Going to work something up though when I go see my brother in law.

I was thinking about a kick stand sorta deal but that wasn't going to do it for me. Found some new pieces and came up with this. Its 100x better allows me to fully use my controller and doesn't require as much stuff constraining my controller.
Anyone else?

Games, its an easy way to play. Others sometimes use kickstands or just lay it down.
I had a cord come in today that
was HDMI for certain phones.. but apparently mine only uses composite so I did sorta get jipped. Was planning using the TV if it worked.

It probably doesn't work that way. If you already paid for it, and you didn't agree with them before of that, I doubt they would give you some money. If you didn't bought it yet, you can agree with them to do a review, and then you would get a discount (I'm just interpreting the email they sent to me).

Nope! The only things the phone touches are the wires that hold the nfc chip and the LEDs in front. Also I covered the top edge with clear tape just to be safe. and my phone is in a case anyways
BTW on ETSY there are real wood backs, laser cut for 20usd to replace the glass

Hey all,
So my screen has tilted all of a sudden. By tilted, I mean the entire rectangle has shifted a few pixels down to the right. See screenshot below. I never had that problem until I played Mortal Kombat on a N64 emulator. Could the emulator app do it? Uninstalling and restoring a backup doesn't work. Please help! This is making me so annoyed you have no idea! Thanks.

Maybe your wallpaper is giving the illusion of it? Perhaps try to find an image of a square grid, apply that as your wallpaper temporarily to see if your screen is in fact 'tilted'
