Opera doesn't have a browser which takes advantage of honeycomb. The tab system at the top of the 'chrome' browser is too useful.
I think the only use would be for opera turbo if you have the 3G version of the transformer. Or until Opera releases a new version which makes use of the larger space available for a better tablet ui.
Don't try dolphin hd it keeps crashing when you go to the favorites bar, they sent me a more 'tablet friendly' apk but that's not very clever either.
Thanks boys.....looks like I will stick with the default browsers or firefox 4 when I get my xformer
have a unit coming in later today, gonna test firefox 4 as well as miren, which is currently my browser of choice on my evo, will get back with results
I have had my xformer for about a week now and have been using dolphin hd most of the time. I find the stock browser to be too laggy etc.. I also find the opera mobile browser pretty good. But for now it's dolphin I use most of the time....love the gestures....
firefox works flawlessly for me so far.

I had some issues with the stock browser (buggy a bit, nothing too bad). I use Opera on my Nexus One so I started using it on Transformer. It works great, although I do wish they had the tabs organized just like in stock browser.

I find the default browser to be too buggy and slow. Tried Opera and Firefox. For me, Opera seems to be the best, and it supports flash too. Only annoying aspect with it is, YouTube links in Opera automatically don't open in the app. Haven't tried Dolphin though.

I like Opera too, but it seems to want to open the mobile version of sites even though I have the mobile option set to 'off.'
Firefox here.
I use Firefox (Fennec 5.0 nightly, actually) for everyday browsing because of it's excellent sync features and the fact that it has adblock on it I also like the fact that it saves sessions, so no matter what, you never lose open tabs. For flash, I use the stock browser, but it's crashed several times to the point that I've needed to restart my device. Not cool.
I wish opera mobile's flash worked, but it doesn't ,and Dolphin HD just crashes way too often to be of use to me.

Been using dolphin since 1.6, but want a change. Suggestions?
You could try xScope, fastest browser in most reviews
I use Skyfire.
Great features and the speed is also very good
Have been using Skyfire since I got my X10, very fast and nice browser.
And the flash tab is very usefull in some cases.
However since yesterday I have started working with the Xscope 6 browser.
And I love the zoom function by just swiping. Have not seen this function in other browsers. Some of the functions I don't love so much, but still a fast and basic browser.
If you visit alot of flash websites (why would you ? ;-) ) I would recommend Skyfire.
Otherwise try the Xscope.
Both are very nice.
my favourite browser is Dolphin HD
fast and very comfortable to use
Try Opera Mobile 10.1 beta (Android 1.6+)

Maybe its just me but how do you control the zoom in dolphin hd?
In the old one it had + - buttons that showed up when my touched the screen but now it just seems to be double tap to zoom in with no option to control just how much or little it zooms.
Annoying on my chess site where the board is either far away or too close to see the whole thing....
In the Dolphin Browser you can activate it in Settings. It was already checked when i had Dolphin but maybe its unchecked in yours. Dont know how it was called but it easy to find. I like the Firefox Browser but the Browser still need alot of work becouse no HTML5,no Zoom in and out Buttons and eats to much Internal Memory and RAM but i like the Style and how to switch Tabs and all.
try miren browser (miui browser)
i've tried the default android browser, skyfire, dolphin HD, opera, etc, and none of these come CLOSE to the speed of the miren browser. no lag, lots of settings, etc.
you can get the english version on the main xda apps forums. they're crazy over it.
the also seem to like the UC browser. i haven't tried it yet but people say it is good.

Thanks for the UC browser tip....installed it and its speedy fast...wow...loving it..and the UI is nice.
Definitely the best browser I have used so far.
I´ve installed and tried about six other browsers by now but none of them stopped me using Opera (mini or mobile) yet. Must say I used Opera as my phone-browser since 2006, so that probably makes it harder to get used to those fancy new browsers. Well I do like to try them, but it would take so much time to actually test and compare. If I had to choose right now, I would pick DolphinHD, for looks and feel (next to Opera .

I swap between Dolphin Browser HD and the Miren Browser.
Miren: Here.
Dolphin: Here.
I've also tried:
Xscope 6
Dolphin Mini
Miren
I like the Dolphin Mini interface (UI), but even though everyone says it's fast, it seems slow to me, so I've been using Xscope almost exclusively.

also recently found infinity browser, but keep forgetting to really try it... I guess that I'll have to check out the miren browser now as well...
Dolphin Mini, it seems to work better than any browser I've used on my tablet. I've used xScope, Opera, native, Dolphin, and Opera. Dolphin Mini is quick and I like the gestures function.
Dolphin HD
DolphinHD seems to work pretty well.

I use dolphin hd, mostly because I got caught up with it after I installed the shake plugin (movement based tab switching) and no matter what browser I use now, I shake it to switch tabs now :/ really irritated that it got ingrained into my 'process' so quickly. I've had to put dolphin hd on my phone now too.
No problem with bookmarks as I have it sync with my google account.
I love the slideout bookmark tray in Dolphin...once it is setup it is quick and easy. I also like the gestures.
Opera Mobile... I like being able to sync bookmarks, etc with my desktop browser.

Oh and I use Firefox occasionally - I'm actually somewhat fond of Firefox for mobile - and it scores 97/100 on the Acid3 test while the stock browser gets a 93. Doesn't really affect much but it does show that the rendering engine is more standards compliant in Firefox.
EDIT: Okay I think I'm sticking with Miren. Even though its an overlay for the stock browser, its features are awesome - hell I have 13 tabs open right no and its not lagging at all and the swipe to go back/forward is genius.

Opera Mobile has had some massive improvements as well though. I actually played an HTML5 game on Opera Mobile - it sucks that you can't zoom out though. Also, for what its worth, Opera Mobile gets 100/100 on Acid3 and it gets a deviation of +/- 1.6% on Sunspider, which is in reference to stock Webkit. That's pretty amazing performance.

http://blog.dolphin-browser.com/
i downloaded it, doesnt do smoother scrolling than Default browser though. hopefully they can manage to get super smooth scrolling in final product
You have to take a look at the Opera Mobile Browser.
It scrolls super fast on Xda and has a really nice UI. Unfortunately it doesnt support Flash for Tablets yet... But I guess there will be an update soon
The problem with Opera is that it is proxy-based. Meaning that what you're actually getting is a pre-rendered site off Opera's own servers. This limits a lot of functionality especially with Javascripting.
I personally prefer HC's own brower simply due to Chrome bookmark syncing.

You're thinking of opera mini. Opera mobile can also do this if you have turbo enabled in the the browser settings. Also, flash does work in Opera mobile. You can set it to on demand just like the stock browser. The main thing about oepra mobile that I don't like is the tabbing system. It works fine for small screens, but for a tablet, I wish it would do tabs like the stock browser.

Again, Opera Mini != Opera Mobile. Those are two different apps. Opera Mobile is the full featured browser, and Opera Mini is the one that opera sends compressed pages to make the browser go faster. Opera Mobile is a full featured browser that is compatible with flash, and also has turbo mode where it can act like mini.
EDIT: Links. Notice the size difference between the two <1mb vs 13mb. I think the tablet one is even 20mb
Opera Mini
Opera Mobile

Yeah, you don't want turbo enabled. Maybe you're just on a mobile version of these sites. The google auto complete works fine on mine. Also, flash works fine too. Flash settings are under advanced. If it is set to click to play, there should be a gray play icon when there is some flash on the site.
One thing you can do to get it to always show desktop versions of sites is type opera:config in the url and click enter. Then go to user prefs, and put "Opera/9.80 (Linux; en) Presto/2.7.81 Version/11.00" (without the quotes) in the custom user agent box, and click save.

The only browser that can load my university website and about a dozen other pages that I frequent is Opera Mobile.
The other ones all have big gaps in pages, won't download files and pages look messed up -- even Firefox.
I haven't tried Skyfire, but I tried all the others mentioned.
Have you tried changing the user agent to desktop in the stock browser (in settings)? Web pages always show up exactly as they should for me with this setting.

i have stock and maxthon installed and i use always the stock. Dispite the lag works pretty nice even for watching football transmissions.
I too don't really like any of the browsers, keep going back and forth when one does something that pisses me off I switch to another for awhile. I currently got Firefox, Dolphin HD, Opera, Maxthon installed and they all suck at different things. Overall the web browsing experience is pretty ****ty compared to ipad even without the flash, it's just so damn slow and laggy. Wish they'd bring out Atomic Web and Mercury browsers to Android, those both rock especially Mercury on the ipad.

In my opinion there is no a definite browser at this moment.
- No one has ad block but firefox.
- No one is able to upload files but Opera.
- No one has a private mode but stock browser.
- Opera is slow when showing pages already loaded in cache and it does not render pages until fully loaded.
- Firefox has an horrible square patron when scrolling. I don't understand why. And image scaling is quite bad. And don't support flash.
- Stock browser and Dolphin render quite fast as pages are loaded and perhaps are more balanced...
So at the end of the day I use firefox for regular browsing (due to adblock and a better tabs management in my opinion), opera when I have to upload something, for example torrent files to my transmission server, and stock one if I have to use private mode (specially if I have to access hacking and or scene blogs)...
