[Q] Is there a Powermat for G2? - G2 and Desire Z Accessories

Well, the title pretty much said it all. Is there a powermat or anything similar for G2?
Sent from my CM7 GDeux

I really want to know this also, I've looked everywhere but no luck.

I'm so buying it once it comes out... hopefully

What did google turn up for you? Seems that might be a faster way to find out
dont send me pm's crying about how i hurt your feelings in a thread

http://store.androidcentral.com/t-mobile-g2-powermat.htm

Fail they're selling the mat not the receiver, before you can use the powermat u need to put the receiver in the back first and then u can place it to the mat to charge. Id look at the powermat site G2 is not listed as powermat compatible sorry to say.
Sent from my HTC Vision using XDA Premium App

hopefully they'll make a powermat battery for our device

Nothing official yet. You can use the energizer or duracell ones if you just get the micro usb receiver but that defeats the purpose of making it a "drop and go" system.
I tested a palm pre, for my employer, when it first came out. I loved that touchstone charging dock and i never understood why more companies haven't adopted something like that.

I'm not sure if we'll see one as I do not see the secondary charging contacts under the cover like other phones that have have gotten powermat compatible covers.
Take a look at an HTC Leo and you can see the secondary charging contacts below the battery on the rear left on this image there the powermat cover makes it's contact to charge the phone.

A powermat would be awesome, it seems like a lot of the accessories are slow to come out (unless that's just me)

You could always make one.

I guess I'll have to wait for that, I'm still curious to see how the extended battery is going to look or if they will manage to keep it pretty flush.
I would bet some of the best extended batteries will end up being similar to the HD2 ones, where they have a kick stand built in!
As for case, there are some gels starting to roll out, and what not, but given that the phone is not even a month old, not as much as we would like. Give it a couple months, and most all accessories that are available for the iPhone will be out for this.

I've been looking for one of these for ages. Stumbled across this from one of the other threads in this section, so thanks to previous posters to these links to the mobilefun.co.uk site

Hi I really like this one:
I can't post a link but I can do it this way.
go to mobilesuppliesdotnl , you can select English as a language, then type in the searchbox HTC HD Mini cradle. Then you will find the same one I have ordered.
I am using it and it's great, it has a little upright holder in it that makes sure that when you slide in the phone, it always connects to the mini usb slot.
And protects it from falling out to.
best of luck,
Joey
That one from mobilesupplies.nl looks exactly the same as the one on ebay.
I haven't got round to getting a dock yet, but for a tenner from ebay I think it's worth a go.
I also just spotted a custom fit car windscreen holder for the HTC HD Mini too on the site: http://www.mobilesupplies.nl/car-holder-htc-hd-mini-p-11543.html

Nokia Qi charger

Hi guys, I got a Nokia Qi charger for Christmas. It was bought at the Verizon store.
When I put the phone on it, case or not, it constantly connects, disconnects, connects.... and so on. It works fine with my mom's DNA.
Just wanted to let you guys know to not buy it. It is Nokia model DT-900.
Also, is anoyone else having this problem?
Thanks!

Charger out of pad:
I got one from AT&T and found that if you place your N4 so that about 1/4 of an inch of the charging pad shows at the bottom, it will not connect/disconnect. See this video:

Problem I had was that it charged too slow, so I wound up returning it and getting the LG charger.
Yes the Nokia chargers have been reported already for the cycling issue. The charging will work, but will cycle like you said. And will charge slower than the LG or Energizer chargers out there.
Here's the thread. Suprised the thread didn't pop up when you were putting this thread up.

[Q] car dock designed specifically for Nexus 5?

Sorry if there's a thread that directly addresses this. Point me at it if there is! I searched but didn't find one.
I don't see any car mounts for the nexus 5 specifically. All I can find are fugly universal mounts. If I wanted to "mount" my phone via a gaint chip-clip, I'd just get a giant chip clip. Anyhow, I'm looking for a car mount designed specifically for the Nexus 5. Anyone have a link to one?
I really like the DIY wireless charging mount mods, but I worry about using magnets alone to hold my phone in place. I plan on getting a cheap mechanical mount (e.g. slot, clips) and adding Qi to that.
I use the Infiniapps Magnetic CD slot mount. It's not designed specifically for the Nexus 5, but it's not bulky or a hassle to use. Also, since the plates in the phone line up well with the magnets in the mount; you don't need to clamp it or anything. Just put the middle of the phone against it and it holds in place just fine. Portrait or landscape isn't a problem. No problems on bumpy rides or anything either.

I personally won't use Qi chargers in the car, as I use navigation a lot and stream music all the time. Don't want to have problems with heat. This mount doesn't get in the way, just pop in a USB cable to an Anker car charger and you're good to go.
i plan to buy this one from Dedicated Car / Vehicle 'Easy Fit' Air Vent Phone Mount for LG Google Nexus 5 from amazon

Lepow 6000mAh Review

I was asked if I could do a review if one of these sent to me. I agreed as I love to do reviews even though my time is very limited. I will do my best to explain what I liked and what I didn't like.
I received the package and was quite surprised by little extras they put in the box. Most were things I gave the kids to play with as I did not have a need for a stylus. However, it was a nice additional bonus. I have attached a picture of the swag in the box.
I already owned 2 monoprice batteries so that is what I have to compare this to. It has 2 ports for charging just like the monoprice ones. I do like the battery level meter much better than MP. When you press the button the led's light up in 1-2-3-4-5 order, which is just a nice little touch.
Shortly after receiving, I had to take a trip out of town and found myself finding a good use for this. I was doing some site seeing which meant lots of pics on my s4 and on my son's iphone4 (gasp.. boo boo)
My phone was fine but that iphone just sucked battery so I gave it to my kid. It really was handy as I tossed his phone and charger in my backpack while it did its magic. The charge time seemed fine.
The unit works as it should and as I expected. The one issue I had, and it could be just my issue... is the battery is a bit slippery. On my MP unit the paint is a little rough where this is very glossy.
I do like the different color options and the gloss does make it stand out. I can see myself putting a piece of electrical tape around it, just 1 wrap around to give it some texture.
Hope this review helps anyone looking for one of these. I am attaching a link to amazon and several pictures.
