[Review] Mybat Inspire 4g Fishbone Case

Just got my new case from Ebay. It's really nice.
Combined skin case with an attached sturdy grip

Just testing it, I dropped it from about two feet and it just bounced. It has the nice little lip aound the front that protects the screen.
It also Recesses the camera lense.

Does it make the phone thick and bulky?

It doesn't look much thicker than a standard TPU case. So I would say you're still going to be pretty slim.

Nope. It actually hardly adds to it. Plus the phone feels less fragile. I really like it. I may buy the white one too.

Not like it did. But its flush. I lay it on its face now tho as the front is raised quite nicely.

I really wish I knew. The description just says "GEL" and nothing else.
Been searching for hours to try and find any manufacturer info but no luck

Perfect fit, all the cut-outs line up 100%
I've never had a TPU case before but I think that's what this is - it's a bit firm but still flexible with a slight rubbery feel.
It does add a wee bit of bulk but I feel much safer holding the phone with the case on.
I'm at work now but will take some photo's this evening.

Yeah button access is good. They're not cut out so you do have to press a wee bit harder. But they did put some ridges on the inside of the cover so it's not a mission - I'm a relatively small built female and I don't have any trouble

edit: the case effects wi-fi, when i use the phone with no case 25-30 feet away from the router i usually get 1 to 2 bars of wifi no problem with the case i get no wi-fi that far off...

Went into Best Buy today to have a Zagg replaced. Saw the case and was excited as this is just what I was looking for. Then the nightmare began. I also picked up a desktop cradle at my local ATT store. When I got home I tried to take off the case with no luck. I tried for thirty minutes to work the case and get it off. I tried to get a screw driver under the part where they click together but no matter what I did it would not come off.
I drove 40 miles back to the Best Buy because the only way I could figure to get the case off was to break it and I was also afraid that I might damage my phone and I did not want the responsibility if I did. Best Buy spent 30 minutes with everyone all the way up to the Geek Sqad trying to get the darn thing off. They finally had to pull up the sides and pop it off. It messed up the Zagg and they had to replace it. Luckily it did not hurt the phone. Best guess as to what happened was that the Zagg was not completely dry when I put the case on and it suctioned to the case when it dried. Never the less I got my money back and will try something else. They had the nerve to ask me why I wanted to take the case off!!!

The instructions are incorrect. Step 4 attached says to press B which is the short end. This only locks it tighter. PRESS A on the long end and it releases

I checked the Best Buy website and they only showed having this in Blue color. I was hoping to find it in Black. From the research I did online, I assume these Platinum Series cases are also made by Seidio, which also makes the Surface Series I'm considering getting. I had the Surface for the IPhone 3GS and it was close to perfect.

Yes they were wrong. When I got to the store I opened another case and saw they had it backwards. Still would not come off. I believe it had attached itself to the Zagg. My EVO case did come off like the instructions said I had not put the case on because they put it on at the store when I bought it.

I was able to get Best Buy to exchange my Evo case I bought last year for this one...not a bad case. It really isn't any harder to remove than the Evo case was, but I definitely wouldn't want to do it on a regular basis.

it took me 20 nailbreaking , finger blistering minute to get it off . Actually I found that mere might only break the dam case , not open it . I turned to oil to grease the joint . Oil did the trick and now I'm returning it . The dam case take hercule to open it everything .
the other case they have at bestbuy is the purple soft rubber case. Purple ffs!!! I'm not putting that thing on my phone , that is some bieber crap .

That looks sexy!

The look & color are great. But the dam thing is too slippery. I'm using a Body Glove along with the holster. The fit is perfect.

I had the same stuff happen to me. I could not get that damn case off and had to pry it apart. I brought it back and ordered an Incipio sycrylic case.

Its really simple to take it off actually. On the back were the line is press on the case and the bottom half should slide right off

I couldn't for the life of me get the case off. So I pried it off, bought the body glove tpu case, and it fits in the holster perfectly. lol

Looks nice! Going to AT&T store tomorrow to see if they have it. I get 50% off all accessories because my pops works for the post office.

Just as their other cases for other phones have done this case will leave minor surface scratches on the sides top and bottom edges of your phone.
Nothing major...but thought i would throw ot out there.
I love mine...just wish i had added more lining fabric on the inside before using it.

Haha, mine was about $25 shipped, it was worth it though. It's so tough! I've dropped my phone from 4+ feet onto tile... No damage at all

Looks like a nice, very protective case.

Got mine 2 days ago from Amazon. I'm impressed with the quality. I would even dare to say its better than the Otterbox. It does add some bulk to the phone. One thing I do like is the silicon doesn't attract dirt and lint as much compared to other gel type case.

I have a red Trident case on my G2x. It's awesome. It's survived several drops from me. I don't keep my phone in my pocket so I can't comment on how it might add to the thickness.

Am I the only one using this case to have the top of the hard plastic part of the case cracking off (around the lock hardkey, HDMI input, etc)? I haven't seriously dropped this phone in its case yet but I noticed a crack the other day that is sure to break off the top of the hard shell.
That and the hard shell was never flush with gel jacket where the hardshell "clips" along the sides of the device.
Oh yea, and the USB cover just came off today from typical usage.
Let me emphasize that I am VERY careful with my electronics. These realizations are disappointing for aa case that at the time of purchase cost me $35 but no matter, just wondering atm if I'm the only one with these issues? All *****ing on my part aside.

hey mate, just be careful - I picked that up at ATT last week, and a small piece of dust got in it and scratched the heck out of my infuse. I decided to scrap the case and went for a fullbody Naked Shield instead...

Bulky, yes... 3 weeks ago me and Infuse were playing hide and go seek... I had to go, Infuse wins, can not find it. At 30 mph, I find the Infuse, in my rear-view mirror, tumbling down the street trying it hardest to catch up to me. I knew the phone was toast, I turned around with a slight tear in the left eye... The Body Glove case took a beating, each corner has road rash, but not a scratch on the Infuse. Hollywood couldn't have written that script and be believable. Maybe it was sheer luck, but Bulky Body Glove case FTW.

Hey man I ordered one on ebay. Only thing that worried me was the volume rocker and the power button being exposed. Has anyone notice any scratches building up on their buttons?

Then again, I have 4 cases including the HC Ballistic.

So i got it today. I dont like it.

I got mine a week or so ago for my infuse. Paid 5.00 for the body glove and its not bad, hell its only 5 bucks. I hated the naked shield, it made the phone feel rough around the edges. I peeled it off a day or to after I got it.
