[Q] My number block widget - Nexus S Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I looked around the web and market but I couldn't find this..
Is there a widget that would turn on and off my outgoing number? Yes I know I can do this under settings/call settings/additional settings.
I thought it would be nice to use a toggle widget for this..

Widget Locker Question

So i had a couple questions on widget locker. i searched for about 25 min, but couldnt fine the exact answer i was looking for.
1. Why is it that the sense ui slider is lower in widget locker than it should be? is there anyway i can get it to be in the same place it normally is?
2. How can i get incoming calls to go through the stock htc sense slider? because when the phone is locked, it just goes straight to the answer/decline buttons when receiving a call, as if the phone is already unlocked.
thanks!
#1 the dev said he was going to implement the ability to move sliders and resize widgets.
#2 ? I don't know
hope that helps...
It will go to the slider if the screen is off. I use widget locker and get the sense slider if I get a call with the screen off
Sent from my ADR6300 using XDA App
really? on my phone it doesnt do that
Just use your home or back button to unlock the phone and then you don't have to worry about it. It gives you lot's more room on your screen for other goodies.
I dont have a issue with the lock screens when i recieve a phone call either.. maybe try going into advanced settings and enabling the "5 second rule". or i think I remember a setting in there about " show during phone call ".
As for slider location there are two, under "look and feel" "slider layout" or something like that you will see a list of sliders to choose from. by default its on "widget locker" which is enclair's slider but all the way on the bottom, if you scroll down the list you will see something like "standard android" or "enclair" my phone is dead or i'd look but play with the sliders you will find the enclair slider in the proper location
hope this helps
From Widgetlocker tool mode check out menu > settings > popups > hide incoming call
i tried all that, i think the problem was the phone was just not going to sleep due to widget locker, so when i'd call it would act as if it was awake and not require unlocking. thanks for the help! still wish i could move the sense slider bar to where it should be though
#2
Had this same problem, had to stop using widget locker until dev comes with new update

[Q] Where is Calendar setting to stop it creating an email alarm by default?

I never want to receive an email notification for a calendar event. I hate getting 2 notifications for the same thing (I always set a popup). I am assuming that this is a default Android action as it happens on both my Tab and my Blade.
Anyone know how to turn off this default setting? Or change it to popup? I've looked everywhere I can think of.
TIA

I think you need to go to web Google Calendar and set the default 'Notifications' options in the settings of the calendar in question. There are options to set it to pop-up and/or e-mail and/or sms. You can also control how updates in events are handled.

Trust me to be looking in the wrong place!
What was weird was I needed to turn all the invitation notifications off even if though I've never set an invitation up when creating an event.
But I'm sorted and happy - thank you

Help with general settings?

Ok so I looked around the search tool in general forums, could not find anything.
Q1. how can I disable the vibrate on touch screen when moving an app?
Q2. how to disable vibrate when receiving a phone call? I have un-checked the vibrate for all that I can find. now I have notice that when its in pocket to does but when its out of pocket on my desk I dont get a vibrate. I see the un-checked for increase sound when in pocket.
Q3. How do I set up the text messages for the FB icon to show the profile pic when I text someone. I had it before but dont remember how to set it back I did the link and sync to FB and FB sense still shows a grey person when I text someone.
also Q is a little different but what about changing the slide down to answer a call or just to unlock your screen I know about widget locker but can I just change the lock screen.?
Also I dont as instant alerts for emails for EX: I have made this thread and went to the email part and click instant email notification some times I ll refresh the page on the pc and I would see someone replied and but still email alert untill I open the mail icon. any reasons why I did do some adjustments to the peak and off peak still not a 100% sure on what the really telling me.
thanks for the help.

REQUEST help, sms hide app

Hello, I am trying to find an app I used to have installed on one of my old android phones that I no longer own, and for some reason can't find under the previous installed apps on google play store.
It was a simple app for hidding that I loved because the way it worked. The app itself didn't install any icon on your phone and was launched via an nterception of your calls whenever you dialed your secret pin. I have been looking for other hiding sms apps and found none with this functionality. Also it had the option to notify you of the incoming hided sms by the icon, vibration or tone you wanted on your notf bar, so I had it configured to show a slightly different 'missed call' icon on the notification bar when i got a hidden sms.
I will be very thankful if someone can refer me to this app I am talking about, or find another one with similar functionality.

Custom text tones per contact?

I can't find a way to setup a unique text notification sound for individual contacts.
In the contacts app, I see an option for Ringtone but nothing for texts.
Is this simply not possible?
Don't have any way to test rn, but from what I can tell if you go thru the messaging app and open the people and options of a contact you've been messaging, there's an option to change from notification there.

Yeah there is an option through the texting apps themselves, but I can see to get it working. I can set them up, and the only one that comes through is the one a set up through settings, doing, SMS
Signal lets you set different tones per contact.
