You have to flash a kernel that supports overclocking if you want to overclock.

False. Unless it changes in the last week or two, no it is not.

It depends in device I think. I remember you from Evo forums. CM kernal for Evo supported mild OC, thanks to Toast. But Nexus CM kernal hasn't OC. Maybe that is what you were remembering.

You are probably right. I thought I had tried it once I flashed cm7 but I may have already flashed netarchy. Not missing my EVO at all. The slightly smaller keyboard is taking some time to get used to though. Thanks for the clarification Matt.

Its up to you. You don't need to any more with dsextons adrenaline shot
If you want to oc, just read the over clocking threads and it discusses all off that.

What is dsextons adrenaline shot? If u dnt mind me asking
Sent from my SGH-T959V using xda premium
You can see it in the dev section

If the phones performance was unacceptable for any given task I would overclock it as little as possible to provide the required performance I need. Otherwise I do not see the need.
Sorrry for asking alott of questions but were is the dev page?

[Q]CM9 Overclock

Hi!
I just wanted to ask if overclocking and underclocking exists for the CM9 for Infuse. I am debating if I should make the leap from Zeus or to just stay and overclocking/underclocking would be one of the deciding factors.
Thanks!

The cm9 build by Entropy512 has undervolting but no overclocking but the build by jt1134 on rootzwiki does include overclocking
