Vodafone 845 problems - General Topics

Hi Guys,
This's my second thread so far-and hopefully the last one about this-and this's the first:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=12548501#post12548501
The thing is that I have multiple issues with my V845,and here they are:
1-I can't access the bootloader.(This one is explained in the first thread)
2-My security lock doesn't apply.I set my phone to require an unlock pattern and when it goes into sleep and up again it doesn't,in other words I can't get the phone to require a pattern to unlock, and yes I have tried settings>location & security>........,u know.
So if any1 PLEASE answers me,it would be great.

Cannot answer incoming call when screen locked

I found quite an annoying feature of the Palm 750 (Cingular). My screen is locked since I am using it with an Exchange server which mandates security. If the phone is not used, it locks after x minutes.
The problem is, if the phone rings, I cannot answer it with the Green key or bluetooth headset until I have put in my password to unlock the phone.
Does any one else have this problem and hopefully a solution? I have not seen any other thread/hack of this problem.
Any help appreciated. May this is a feature that can be overridden but I cannot find any help. Thanks.
This is a weird problem indeed, and lucky for you i have the answer. I am assuming you have set the phone to show your owner info when it wakes up. Turn this off and problem solved.
dont worry, no need to say thank you.
then again, this treo forum seems to move so slow i wouldnt be suprised if he hasnt checked back again.

S2U2 Display Problem

Hello to all!
I am new here and my english is not the best. (I´m from Austria)
I have tryed do find answers for my problems, but i cant find the solution.
I will tell you my problems and hope sombody can and will help me - thanks!
Since 2 weeks I´m an Samsung SGH I 900 - owner.
One of the first application was S2U2.
It works realy fine and with the faq´s in this forum very easy to handle but when i change the registry-settings, it don´t work as it should.
I wrote in Data-field from 0File \Windows\CallLog.exe and when I had a missed call and I slide to view, nothing happens...
I can´t finde the right 0Parameter-Entry...
When I set this in the S2U2Settings - Others - Run other app when unlock it works fine, but when nobody is missed, i wnt to go to TodayScreen...
This problem is done!
I installed the previous version of s2u2 and now the missed calls will be shown!!
How is it possible to show the missed calls on the locked screen like in this thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=341926)
I can not find the right settings... only sms is shown!
Please help me to get a solution for my problems.
If you don´t want to get me the right settings directly it´s no problem to look on the right place for the reason...
Thank you very much!

All my problems are gone...
If the Phone is locked and you had a missed call you must push on the "missed calls icon" and then slide to view and s2u2 change to CallLog.exe....
Is this possible without pushing to the icon before??
Thank you for answer!
I´ll hope this can help someone with the same problems...
Maybe this a bug in s2u2 newest version to show the missed calls on locked-display???!!!
King regards

[DISCUSSION] SLEEP POLICY BUG?!....MAYBE an ANDROID ISSUE?!....

I am sorry to say that a lot of people have this issue, I read many many post where a lot of people report same bug: Android Sleep Policy works poorly. Don't care if phone or tablet, both have some similes: WIFI works also in sleep mode and even if properly setted. What's meant "properly setted"? Simply: By going to setting>wi-fi>(menù)advanced>keep wi-fi on during sleep>never, WI-FI "should not" go on when the screen is locked. "Should not", yes, and not "must not", because as has been said the Android Sleep Policy works POORLY.
Here my case:
Now I have Android 4.0.4 , the last English firmware. But how I wrote, don't care the firmware version (GB, ICS or JB), don't care the phone brand, the problem exists anyway.
If I set the Sleep Policy to turn off WIFI when screen goes off, I have no result: WIFI still goes on & on also when screen is locked. I tryed several official ROMs, and to resolve this bug I tryed also Custom ROM like CM...but no result. It seems like there is an Hardware problem.
I also tryed to edit "com.android.providers.settins" by creating inside the database, the string "wifi_idle_ms" (because i haven't this string by default) with a custom value, by following this guide:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=25565589&postcount=1 Thanks to kobridge for this tweak.
I know many app which can put wifi off when phone sleeps, but I, as others (I bet), don’t want to install third part apps when this feature is supported by default.
Anyone has more informations? We could start an official discussion about this "Annoying Bug", and talk about our experiences, and maybe find someone who can help us.

Cyrus CS28 alternative rom ? outdoor phone

Hi together, I bought a cyrus CS28, because my phones broken in the past very often It is not easy to find a rough tough phone which is looks good. (more or less). But I have a lot of trouble with the phone: Android 6.0 (no newer android versions are annnounced) is onthis phone a little bit buggy....
a) sometimes the connection is not stable to known wlan networks and the connection is on off without any reason. Only a restart of the phone helps and / or the reset of the network settings helped. I tried to ask the support, but they asked me only - lease reset the phone and / or sen us the phone. But: I ordered a new one and there occures the same troubles during the first 2 days.
so my idea is to root the phone and install an alternative Rom. Is anybody familiar with this phone and suiteable Roms?
b) sometimes the microphone is not working and only the toggle between headset , hands free set(bluetooth) is helping.
so - my question is: could anybody help me to root the phone and install an alternative Rom?
Thanks a lot.
Hello, unfortunately there was no answer to this question! Now I have the same phone and the same question. May be there is an answer now?

Networks disconnect with work profiles :@

Hi all,
I have searched for any past references to this issue quite a bit but found nothing in here so thought I would ask. Maybe my searching skills are not good
Whenever an app that requires aGPS starts, both my sims and my wifi disconnect and reconnect in a continuous loop. This has started happening since I factory reset my phone and then installed my company's work profile in the summer. I had a look on the OnePlus forums and it's a known issue since the beginning of the year but OP have done nothing about it. I need my work profile because of course I work a lot from my phone and even though a recommended fix is to switch off location services so that this doesn't happen, location for me is a very important function on my phone.
Does anybody know of any solution to this that I couldn't find? Am I going to have to go the route of a custom ROM to address this? I haven't had a phone with a custom ROM since my XDA IIs so really don't want to do this
Thank you in advance!
nobody? . . .
