After being inspired by Crackanug's boot animations and nearly a week of information gathering on these here forums, DigitalKarma presents to you: TEAM METALSLAVE - his first, of hopefully many, bootanimation and oddities

It's nothing fancy really. The animation is quite simple and it's METAL. can't beat that. If you like that retro video game vibe, then this might be your cup of tea. I've owned the Evo for 7 months now but its only 2 months since being involved in the rooting scene. The XDA Community has helped me out and I thought I contribute something back. ENJOY!
friendly reminder: rename the zip to bootanimation and place it in your system/customize/resource folder. there is also a sound jingle which i ripped from the source to accompany the animatioin

Just finished my first (really simple) boot animation. It wasn't nearly as difficult as I anticipated, but I never could have done it without a push in the right direction from wrx4me.mp.
Couldn't come up with a theme, so I based it off the flagship product my company produces. Since it's corporate, I'm not going to post the actual package, but if for some reason anyone wants it I'm more than happy to send it.
Right now it's manual installation via adb only, at least until I figure out how to make a flashable zip.

That's what it's all about!
Now I just have to get the hang of After Effects/Vegas... It feels weird to be using them for something other than actual video editing.

Photos added.Try it,it's good.
You can use the last photo (number 60 in bootanimation) as a wallpaper for supersaving battery.
hey, it looks very nice, i think, i´ll give it a try.
Does anyone use this?
I'm just now looking for boot animations for my new Sensation, so I'm not using it yet. But I can tell you there aren't a lot of boot animators around. These are rather simple and elegant, so I'm sure plenty of people will use them.
Don't give up hope, and make more!

Hello.
As a new member to this site, I was hoping to bring something to the table here that everyone could appreciate or use.
I dabble in graphic design, so I was thinking what better than to mix my designs with a little simple development techniques?
This thread is a personal page for my artwork. I'll occasionally post new stuff periodically depending on my availability between school and work.
So, for my first boot animation, this is a simple still frame design:

}
This is an 800 x 480 resolution image. Make sure your screen is capableof viewing this image BEFORE you flash, and always make a backup. I don't want any trouble because someone forgot to do the right measures in protecting their setups.
Enjoy!
And a second design.
And a third.
can you provide us with previews please?
I created a custom boot animation for my Dinc last night and figured I would share it with the good folks of XDA.
It is basically an Apple logo being shot a few times by the Android figure, then blows up. This was my first attempt at creating a boot animation so any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
I haven't been able to set it out on my Dinc due to some issues accessing the system folder on a new ICS ROM that still needs to be worked out. But, I did test it using the Boot Animation Previewer and it worked fine there - so I am making the assumption it works on my device.

Updated: So I realized that this file is never going to work because the original is 151MB, so I severely cut down the size, the links above now post to a new file that is 3.8MB. This should work now.
Sweet bootanimation.
so i was keeping this to myself as it was going into real development as a new application but before it really took off its development has died so i thought id show you all what i was working on.
basically i wanted an app that would bring roms, kernels and their developers to the forefront; at the same time providing a way to manage your currently installed configs, in a similar fashion to rom manger.
seeing as development has died i've decided to share this as an idea on how 'I' would like to see a rom manager application look. the app was heavily inspired by the google card UI and the android play store. hope you like it and if anyone would like to use the concept be my guest.
i think the images below is pretty self explanatory so enjoy.
EDIT: sorry about the huge image size.
