4G Testing In My Market. - Thunderbolt General

Looks like Sioux Falls is getting it's 4G tested. I noticed I switched to 4G a couple times between 4-5PM. It would last 5 minutes or so.
I managed to run a couple speed tests.

welcome to the club

thats odd, it must just of switched back to 3G lol

Yeah today was on and off but got a solid half hour yesterday at esurances building in Sioux falls. Was crazy how YouTube had no loading time and apps took longer to install than to download from the marketplace.

Nice! Glad more people are finally starting to get it. That upload speed seems kinda slow though.

[Q] HTC Sensation battery getting better?

Has anyone noticed their stock Sensation battery getting smarter? I was only getting 8ish hours previously (brand new battery/phone) before I'd start getting the first battery warning (15%). I just checked my phone after an extra-long day of work (my usual usage) and was delighted to discover this:

yeah me too, these batteries dont really shine till after first 4 or 5 charges/full discharges
After a few weeks of drain & charge, it's been holding up very well lately!

Yes, that's the new Market that Google is rolling out. Most custom ROMs include it already, but it will eventually be pushed to all (2.2+) phones.

awesome... it's definitely alot cleaner than the older version.
Thanks for the response
Yeah, it's a much nicer aesthetic... a little Windows Phone 7-ish with the tiles, but I'd consider that a good thing. Hopefully this is the beginning of a new look for the other Google apps, too... some of them need a makeover badly.
It was pushed to my phone a few days ago. I like the look of it.

g2 vs mt4g slide data speeds

I have a g2 and my GF has the slide. I decided to do speed tests and i find it weird that my uploads are like double hers . Her download is much faster than mine however since my phone is 14mbps max and hers is 21mbps . Both are from the same houston server. Ill continue testing different areas but yea just thought i share how weird it is.
I got the G2 and the Wife got the MT4GS, i did speed test and my G2 clocked 12mbps down and hers was only in the 7 range, upload speeds for both were about 2. I also tested it at different times got the same result.
On my mt4g I got this. Its hit or miss with my tests.

Used it a bit but not much so i was surprised when it started beeping warning me about the battery. Heres the screen shot I just took. Before how I didn't even so much as click on Tapatalk how is it possible to use that much battery if i didn't use it?

You have to kill the piece of **** app after you're done with it because it will continue using cpu cycles even when in the background.

Custom hold length of time?

So along with this I got a taste of Motorola's appalling customer service. It's bad enough the first transfer is not for new customers theb transfer 2 more times to some offshore Indians who fear the authority in someone's voice and don't know how to handle calls and not assertive whatsoever in even reading a script Cmon. Sick of This I better not run into any other issue with this device that I can't self fix. What a hassle spent over half hour this morning to get a 'well check it' response when it could have been handled domestically in 10 min tops. We need to bring those jobs back to amerikurrrr
