Landscape capable AOSP gingerbread launcher for CM7 in Flashable zip - EVO 4G Themes and Apps

This is the stock gingerbread launcher from AOSP which works in landscape mode when the phone is turned sideways. (See Pictures)
First off, all credit for this landscape capable gingerbread launcher goes to r2Doesinc and his ROM Pure Gingerbread OMGB 1.1.1. I simply extracted it for use on CM7 and modified a flashable zip to make installation easier. I have only installed it on CM7 RC4 so flash to other ROMs at your own risk and report back.
Installation is as follows. Nandroid backup your current ROM in recovery just in case this doesn’t work with your setup. Flash attached zip in recovery which will replace the stock ADW launcher, Reboot.
When the home screen is in landscape mode the dots on the bottom left are stretched, as shown by the pictures. It’s no big deal for me but I thought I should mention it. You can reinstall ADW through the market if you want to have both. I have been using it without any problems on CM7 RC4. I’m also including the stock gingerbread launcher (no landscape) if you prefer that.

Just to clear up one thing from your idiotic post, the stock gingerbread launcher does not rotate to landscape, at least on my EVO. Dev r2DoesInc created this for his ROM and it was something I've been looking for. I asked his permission to post his landscape launcher for others to use. Looking at some of your other post I see you're not quite a dev yourself.
I've attached a copy of the market for you, now go shove it up your ass!

leave that mazda guy to himself dude, we have enough trolls on XDA.
Good work, this is an excellent find if you're trying to keep AOSP as stock as possible (not having to use launcherpro or ADW), especially since the stock launcher can't do landscape mode natively. I'm still on sense right now, but i will definitely download this for the future. do you know if this will work on Sense roms? thanks!

Cyanogen Theme

I have cyanogen 4.2.11.1 and I was wondering if you guys could reccommend one. I tried ADW Launcher. But I could not find the download. So if you guys know where to find ADW Launcher please tell me. Thanks

why dont update to 4.2.15.1??
anyway, u can find it in almost every themed rom.. download a rom u like and then extract adw launcher (launcher.apk or advancedLauncher.apk), then replace your with this one.
if u dont want have trouble, replace it using the update.zip method!! (u have need to sign the package so take a look on how to sign )
oh well thanks broski. i just updated to 5.0.7. Its way better.
oh yeah and i am a noob

[ROM/Themed] [UP] [10/12] Bub's AOSP Magic v 0.4.1 ~ AOSP Lockscreen & Themeing ~

AOSP Magic v 0.4 ~ DI18, Deodexed, Zipaligned, AOSP Lock-screen, & CyanogenMod Theme ~
Looking for an AOSP, fast, clean, cyanogen mod type ROM, well AOSP Magic is for you!
A whole slew of changed are coming down the pipe this time with the birth of version 0.4.1, including a cyanogen mod theme, including the white status bar, Pandora fixes, and more.
Both the original and universal iterations of AOSP Magic boost many AOSP applications including messaging, calendar, and calculator.
All of the iterations, as well are deodexed for faster speed and zip-aligned for better performance.
The only difference between the original version and universal are your launchers and widgets.
Original removes touchwiz and all related widgets, and universal includes both touchwiz and it's specific widgets.
All Sprint apps have been removed.
This ROM will not format your data or delete your kernal, no kernal is included you must flash your own or the kernal you were using will stay.
Themeing is still a work in progress, more updates to come.
V 0.4.1 Changelog
Fixed several aspects of the theme including the loading bar, and 3g signal icons and strength, as well as fixes for the battery meter. All thanks goes to Envynet, who has officially joined the team in development for AOSP Magic.
Changed icons for most stock apps to AOSP icons, pulled from cyanogen mod. (thanks to the whole team there)

You must wipe data/factory reset for either to work properly, just follow the tutorial below to keep your data or only wipe to start clean. If you are coming from a previous version of AOSP Magic, just flash the ROM in Clockwork recovery no wipe needed.

How to Flash
Unless you have are flashing over a previous version of AOSP Magic, DO NOT use ROM Manager to flash this ROM, and if you do don't select wipe data and cache.
1. Make sure you have ClockWork recovery installed.
2. Backup your current ROM. (to recover data and files)
- To do this simply go into Clockwork recovery and scroll down to Backup & Restore, select Backup then your current data and setup will be backed up.
3. Download any of the above 2 variations, and put it on the root of your SD card.
4. Factory/Data reset, don't worry you'll be able to get your data back.
5. Choose "Install zip from sd card."
6. Find the appropriate ROM you chose in the list, press the camera button and install the ROM.
7. Reboot.
8. Wait for the ROM to reboot into the lockscreen.
9. Success!
10. Go back into clockwork.
11. Backup and Restore.
12. Advanced Restore.
13. Choose your backup you made before flashing AOSP Magic.
14. Choose restore data.
15. Wait for Clockwork to restore your data and files.
16. Reboot.
17. Enjoy

Under volt and overclock kernel's will be available in the near future made by myself, but for now any kernel should work with either flavor.
thanks man. i'm downloading now. i was looking for something close to cyanogenmod.....
I really look forward to the development of this. I don't see any near-future support from Cyanogen, but all I want is AOSP. When you get a custom kernel up (OC, UV) and some screenshots, I'll move over. A tested, stable release would be nice, too. I'm super excited about this.

It's not much yet basically just a base, or beginning. I'm goingo start working on version 0.2 tomorrow with a release more than likely tomorrow night. Have to sort out a few fc issues with using vanilla apps. Thanks for your kindness, and let me know what you think.

This is super relevant to my interest. I will beta test anything you can throw at me.
IMO people may like it better if you include ADW/Launcher Pro (ADW fan here) as opposed to the stock launcher you have included. MixUP kernel plays nice with this ROM as well.
Edit: shoudl've posted this a second earlier lol

I won't bother yet to take any screenshots as it's basically purely stock either with or without touchwiz now, untill version 0.2 hits tomorrow replacing all Samsung apks with that of the standard vanilla AOSP.

I am also a fan of ADW, however for whatever reason it isn't installing. It is included under /data in the zip if you wish to manually install it. Ill work on that though tomorrow.

i would also vote for something unstead of the stock launcher like adw since it just plain works and is stable even though i'm a fan of launcherpro. but i would keep it on /data side (i believe) so it can be easily uninstalled.
So does this have like the AOSP white taskbar etc. or does it still have the black one with the blue battery?

Black with blue. The main thing right no I showing off the speeds of the rom, deodexed and basically just to put something out there and my ideas I'm rollin' with and let the community supply their intrests. Don't worry by version 1.0 it'll be there, just a matter of messin' with the framwork a little.

Are you still going to work on porting Froyo?

[THEME] MIUI theme + new blue theme

This a miui theme I compiled using rodriguez's rom framework. I had a lot of problems with the smooth green theme from xvenom89 over at the droid incredible forum and decided to port of parts of his theme + parts of rod's theme (such as a sweet lockscreen) + icons that I'd used in previous roms such as a different status bar icons like 3g, wifi etc... It is basically a green theme with a bit of color here and there. It should work on any miui rom, since I've only changed the framework, it should definitely work on a nexus and even a desire miui rom, since their frameworks are identical, it also has rounded buttons from the smooth green theme
Remember nandroid....these are all flashable zip files, which can be flashed from recovery, I've also included the original framework of rodriguez's rom which has the custom lockscreen and is identical to the stock miui rom except for the lockscreen, in case you wanna go back to the stock look and feel.
All I've done is copy and paste icons, the real credit should go to the devs such as rodriguez, xvenom89, djmcnz and ofcourse the miui team.
LINK FOR THE MODDED THEME: waiting on whether can post the theme or not
ORIGINAL STOCK LIKE THEME: http://www.multiupload.com/O3RW1NY9JB
made a new blue theme for all those people who like blue, changed the emoticons to the android stock emoticons, since they look better, I like to thank fllash over at the desire themes and app and riptide over at the evo 4g development and xvenom89 for the icons, also I did some of my own customization to put it all together, most of the stuff are themed. Again if you want to go back to stock just flash the original stock theme. Can't put any screenshots up right now. Nearly everything is themed blue, changed the status bar icons.

I'm using Amon's 1.7.0.1
I though so, with amon ra 1.70, the zip file has to be signed, this zip file isn't signed, I'd recommend installing clockwork mod recovery using rom manager in the market, to just flash this file and then there is an option in rom manager where you can revert back to amon ra.

Just flashed this over Rod's ROM... VERY NICE! Really wasn't a big fan of the original (MIUI) colors at all. Rod has done a good job changing most but this really brings it all together! Thanx for the work, looks awesome

Yes, I've included the original theme aswell, that is the 2nd link posted, only thin that is different is the lockscreen, because I thought that that rod's lockscreen looks cooler overall.
@zoman thanks, will probably work on some of the colours, such as the bookmarks tab in browser needs to be reverted. I was a big fan of the minimalistic theme and this comprehends that theme pretty well.
hello Cpt. curry
i have request for you.
could you make a set of smiley icon for messaging in miui rom?
i just miss the smiley from the stock
Looks great. It really helps makes it come together. Hope this is maintained going forward
I've worked on it a bit and changed a bunch of things. I might be also realeasing a rom soon with the camera and the contacts application themed. Since I hate that ugly camera texture. It looks bad.
I just realized that I accidentally took a screenshot. Its stored on MIUI Screenshots on the SDCard. Does anyone know what tje shortcut is?

menu + volume down gives you the screen shot.
new theme posted up, its blue and its snazzy.
Edit: I changed the emoticons in the new blue theme to android stock however it wont work in the miui messaging app because the miui messaging app has its own emoticons which can't be changed because they're part of the apk.
so do these themes change the stock wood folders as well?
nah they dont the stock wood folders are to do with the miui launcher itself. I can change them but then I would have to make a rom itslf. You'd rather just flash the themed roms like rodriguez rom.
Cpt.Curry, I don't recall you asking for permission to make a port using either of my MIUI themes. I started both threads with "Please do not repost (or port & upload) my work without permission; do not claim any of my work as your own; I've put a lot of time into making this what it is today. Before doing anything questionable, ask yourself how you would feel if someone took credit for your work. Thanks for understanding." Did you read that? You did give credit for the work appropriately, but what concerns me is that you didn't honor my one request.
Anyways, If you guys like what you see here, check out my original Smooth Green thread- I've made quite a few changes from what Cpt.Curry is using in this theme and continue to work on it every 1-3 days. I've worked out all (as it seems) bugs and continue to theme the system apps. As always, check out the original thread for updates and to report any bugs you may find. Yes, it works on Nexus, too.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=793358
In addition to that, check out my Smooth Blue theme- again, where Cpt.Curry got most images from. I haven't posted an update in a few days, but the next one is ~70% complete and should be up within a few days. It, too, will contain all the latest fixes and is an improvement on the last. Check out its thread here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=8404782
Overall, these are pretty much older releases of my themes with some extra [not necessarily appealing] color from different works.
Cheers.

Themes For Stock ROM - 2.3.340

I thought I'd share some themes for the stock rom. These themes are all compatible with the stock deodexed 2.3.340 rom.
NOTES:

Thanks a lot Mike I have been looking all over the net for this. You should also posted at the Droid X Forums and Droid forums. You're gonna make a lot of people very happy if you posted over there, or I can do it for you with all credit going to you of course.

@maddog feel free to start threads wherever you like. I'll only be checking the threads here and at Droid-life (under DX themes), so just refer people to those threads for any questions.
@HCdroid This initial version of these themes do not skin any apps. Updates will be coming though that will include browser, market, dialer etc. Stay tuned
FYI waremike32 = unkleduke, I had to use my old nick to post the links here.
My phone did not like, i have stock 2.3.340 rooted and when i installed it almost bricked my phone. Would get stuck at the initial boot logo and go nowhere. Luckily i figured out taking my micro sd out and plugging the phone into usb while booting made the clockwork mod bootstrapper pop up so i could use my backup image. Almost had to SBF.
Not sure what caused it but man i wish i could get that gingerbread theme working!
Just got it loaded on my X. Everything I was hoping plus then some. Thanks for this!...very reluctant on running a custom ROM since I'm pleased with the stock one and this fit the bill perfectly.

Did you deodex first? First boot may take a few minutes. You should see the droid eye animation run for awhile. As long as it doesn't loop, it is probably running fine.

Fairly certain i deodex, but still it never got past the initial boot image, droid eye never loaded. it sat at that first screen for about 5 minutes, never moved on. I used my restore point and got it back to normal so all is well. Im still going to try it out again, ill try to deodex again and see if that makes a difference
It couldn't hurt to manually mount /system before flashing each .zip. Might help.

Restore a backup, confirm your wallpapers work. Then reflash the theme and be sure to mount /system first.

[ROM] Frostmod 2.0

Welcome Frostmod version 2.0. A lot of work has gone into this update that I hope you will enjoy. I've spent much time on making this rom highly customizable, in other words, almost nothing is unchangeable. In my frostmod tool box app, you can now change the font of the clock, switch between adw launcher, and gingerbread aosp launcher, and a assortment of boot animations. The old permanent ics lock screen is gone. The one in version 1.6 that required a reboot is to clunky. Now you can simply go into the cyanogenmod menu, and easily apply frostmod lockscreen. there is also no native theming. All my theme work is located in a single theme manager app. A lot of things have been added to my theme, just look at the settings menu. Also in the about phone menu, you will now see a button that says frostmod version. Click on it for a full changelog, help, thanks and more. The cyanogenmod base has also been updated to cyanogenmod 7.2.0 RC1.I hope you like this update. If you enjoy the rom, and the time I spent on it, make sure to give me a thanks
Bellow you will find a download link, and many screen shots. All screen shots have my theming applied, as well as ics clock font. The rom can easily be changed to have the "clean" look". If you have any comments, bug reports, or recomendations, please post them bellow

Disclaimer: I am not responsible for any destruction this rom might cause. It works just great for me. I flashed with cwm4.
Thanks goes to cyanogenmod for the fantastic rom, Peter Alfonso for a great Droid kernel, and goo inside me for the gapps.

I Wish I was, then I could help you, but my phone on this rom is mounting just fine. Did you make sure to go into the menu and press Turn on USB storage
Have you gotten it running on your phone? I've tried flashing multiple times with a wipe of everything and get a constant M
[fixed] boot now

I am extremely sorry, I had one that booted, but I just restored one of my stock froyo backups, and then flashed to this, and it does not work I am going to take down the download link for now, but I will have one up that works in around 30 minutes
Can't wait for the new file so I can test this out. Thanks man!
I believe I have fixed it, and it should boot now. Remember that this is pretty much stock cyanogenmod, but I am working on a great theme
So far very smooth rom, seems stable. Thank you for your work.

Runs amazingly smooth. Went from CM7 to this, and everything is just so much snappier. Thanks for making a custom-built OG droid experience!
Running it now, seems to be nice, and love the 1.2 ghz over clock.. Great Job!
Running quite smooth so far, using the first link not the second, would love to try the second but I dislike pre skinned roms

Hello, this is a notification on my version 2 rom's progress. I have included a lot of new things, and have gone deeper into the source code. My next rom will have a better theme, but I am attempting to get most of theme into a theme Chooser app so you can decide if you want my themeing or not. There is also plenty of XML editing. I think you will get a few laughs out of my next version
I just have to work out a problem with the desk clock app

Thats very good news! (besides the whole desk clock problem) I like how your rom is shaping up, it's nice and stable, though for some reason it's really laggy on my phone, but I like your theme from your past version, especially the pull down menu
Lovin the rom but why is the launcher so blurry in the app drawer
How is this rom coming along?

I got a galaxy nexus for Christmas, and that along with a bunch of school stuff has made me spend little time on this project. I will try to release what I have got after I have finished up a few small things monday or tuesday
