1- Can someone tell me if the voodoo sound enhancement kernel work on any 2.3.3 ROM including MIUI?
2- Can someone please link me to that kernel. I see all sorts of different kernels that incorporate voodoo enhancements. I just want a plain simple kernel that has this feature, nothing else.
3- Can someone tell me where I can get the completely stock 2.3.3 rom rooted?
The answers the all your questions, are in the development thread. On 1st page.
1. Sure, never had a problem when I tried it for 5 minutes.
2. Just pick a kernel and use it. It might have a bunch of features, but unless you use it, it'll just be dormant.
3. Deodexed rom.
Like offenberg said, everything can be found in the first page or two of development forum.

Hi experts,
I am currently using LG P500 with stock rom & kernel. I have never rooted rom before this. I have read somewhere from useful thread from this forum like here but am still not so sure and wondering if any problem will effect to the stock rom if I would like to flash kernel on my phone.
Most of the time I depend on my mobile phone such as alarm clock so just worried anything happen to the rom will cause me troublesome. ^^; I might flash rom in future but not now. So am interested about flashing kernel since people said that flash kernel will save battery life as well as overclock cpu. It would be glad if someone could explain to me or sharing link with great info.
Thanks a lot.

can i ask which software you are using?
you have to be careful when flashing kernels as some kernels may not be compatible with your specific software.
I would search for specific kernels for your software and if you have root, then make sure you have a backup kernel for the one you are about to flash and if any problems arise you can flash it back.
I use Kernel Update Utility 0.9 to flash different kernels to my device so maybe you can look into that once you have done your research
Hi,
I was using SGS I 9000 and with the official 2.3.3 DDJV6 version which is very very slow. After that i have tried so many leaked firmwares but unfortunately none of them works well for me..none of them are stable & bugfree.
Right now i am using DDJV9 with voodoo lagfix. This is also not running effeciently..phone gots very very hot upto 55C.
Kindly help me reviving my sgs experince. Please kindly also share the link also for the same.
Thanks alot in advance.
No roms not even OEM roms are free of bugs mate, try flashing some other custom roms until u find the one that suits ur needs.
I agree none of them is bug free. But Whichever leaked firmware i have used is not not even stable. I just want stable & fast firmware.
People kindly help.

No one will be able to tell you what will run well on your device with your set up. Try roms out till you rind one that works for you. Each device is different and so are the way we use them.

Right now i am little confused. Till now i have only checked the different firmwares not tried any ROM.
Are firmware and ROM are 2 different things or same? Sorry if it is too basic..
Firmware and ROM are sort of intertwined. The firmware mostly relates to the underlying infrastructure that the ROM depends upon. Things like the kernel and radio. The ROM is the actual implementation of the OS. When you flash new firmware, you also get a new ROM along with it.
Some custom ROMs, such as Darky's ROM, are very closely related to the stock ROM, and have mostly performance and cosmetic changes. Other ROMs such as Mintberry MIUI and Onecosmic are quite significantly different from any of the stock ROMs.
They also depend on particular parts of the stock firmware. Onecosmic and MIUI both require gingerbread bootloaders to have been previously installed from a stock firmware package.
If you want my two cents on what to use, I am currently using Onecosmic RC2.11 (waiting for the phone to charge to full, then going to install RC3) and it is excellent. It is based on Ice Cream Sandwich, it runs quickly, and it looks beautiful.
There is a link to the XDA thread here.
Hello XDA,
I have bought a new android device for myself today, the Sharp FX Plus (Model: ADS1) and I've been browsing on the site to find some compatible roms; But no luck. I've used the forums before to successfully root and put a rom on my ASUS tablet with no issues, but this one is a mystery. Is there a thread with what roms are compatible with my phone or has nobody ever really looked into this phone? I've tried to google it with no luck, either. The phone is already rooted, I got that far, I just can't find any roms that are 'confirmed' compatible with it.
Thanks to whoever replies!
P.S. I'm slightly new to the whole custom rom thing - but I do somewhat understand the basics.
metoo!
I too have a sharp fx plus ads1. I have my phone rooted but am having no luck finding a custom rom. I understand it is kind of an entry level android and maybe out of date but it has all the capabilites I need. I also know enough to root my phone and install a rom but not good enough to actually create my own custom rom. Is there anyone that has the time and enjoys doing so that would help out with a custom rom for these phones? I found a page that mentioned updated to 3.2 with a new rom but there was no link for the rom so I'm thinkning it was a fake. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

EDIT: I posted in Misc Android Development section here, trying to put the information in a centralized area for any potential development on this device.
Recompiled the CM7 Kernel as a test using the device's config.gz, working on getting the CM7 source to go (its being tricky lol). I have a test CyanogenMod 6.1.2 ported from a Z71 that runs, as well as a modded stock 2.2.2 ROM. A "dirty-port" test of a Z71 CM7 rom boots with some mods (no radio, networking, etc..) - so there may be some hope for this lil thing!
Hope that helps
Firstly, sorry I had posted same question in (I don't know where). But I need to post it here in Verizon.
I have installed HE update, Rooted, Unlocked, IMEI backed up, Recovery installed.
#1 Do custom ROMS include the baseband or not? Meaning, does it override the HE I have installed?
#2 Do ROMS need to be specifically designed for HE baseband, for me to flash them and work properly?
Thanks.
PS I am waiting for the Milestone release of AOKP, how will I know if it is made for the HE, will mess up because of me having HE? Is it buried in the AOKP change log, or does the developer control that?
No and no
I may be wrong, but as far as I know, AOSP ROMs (including AOKP) don't build for a particular radio. Until we get an official Verizon TouchWiz jellybean update, the RIL and other networking tweaks in AOSP roms are made from scratch, and should work with any radio. Some radios may work better or worse for you with any given ROM, so you might as well try them all until you find the one that works best for you.

First things first....You didnt know where to post a question....there is a q&a section where you posted....dont be ignorant.
Thread moved to q&a.
Hi, I been trying out different custom roms but now I wanna try with kernels.
What should I look for about kernels to get idea of what kind of feature they have? I heard some have battery/charging features, etc.
I've tried some that listed on this forum zero gravity, mochi (from stock roms), etherious and neutrino flamescion.
i also tried benchmarking with each kernel, i see scores 5-8%. Aside from that, I cannot notice anything different.
I not looking for a gaming kernel. Just want to get idea about these for so I can start somewhere.
if you want a general idea about kernels just google it but if u want to make a kernel your self this post may help u https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/reference-how-to-compile-an-android-kernel.3627297/
