Under setting > sound > vibrate, I picked vibrate only when not in silent mode.
Somehow this doesn't make my phone vibrate. Does it work for you guys?

OK, so i've paired up an A2DP bluetooth headset with my topaz...most things work well, if not great. but there are 2 slight problems: 1) sometimes when i press play on my headset, the screen turns on and doesn't lock. i've already clicked so many things in my pocket by mistake when that happened. and i set the phone to lock when i push the power/stand-by button...but that doesn't work when the bluetooth is connected(works fine when it's not). 2) i usually have my phone on vibrate, but that turns both the ringer and system volume down...so i have to turn off single volume and turn up the system volume...finee..but the settings won't stay. when i take it out of vibrate, both ringer and system volume is at 100%(good) but when i turn on vibrate again, both volumes go back down to 0%(bad) instead of what i wanted, which is: when in vibrate mode, ringer volume can be 0% but system volume has to be at 100% in order to listen to music through my headphones. any help would be very much appreciated!!
ok so I have noticed that when my phone is in vibrate mode, it will not vibrate at all (think silent mode), but when I get a phone call, in audible ring mode, with vibrate: it vibrates fine.
I don't get it....
I have the phone rooted, but nothing that messes with the vibrate function.
anyone else have a similar problem, or better yet: a solution?
i know this is a old thread, but im having the same issue....vibrates with text etc just not when i am getting a call and its on vibrate.
I have all vibration shut off on my Sensation. Some incoming calls will still vibrate, is there some setting I am missing. I know sense has many different settings, is there a hidden setting I am missing. I hate vibrating calls. Please help.
Thank You
set phone to not ring for phone calls. (double check your settings)
Also why did you create a second post for this issue? why not just bump your previous one?

Try turning off "Pocket Mode".
Funny he brought this up, because mine does the same thing. I've had 2-3 calls out of around 100 incoming calls that vibrated, but nothing that would enable vibrate was turned on!
Pocket mode off, vibrate off, volume all the way up for the ringer...
After sending a sms or after i make a call i get a service msg of call costs. Even if my phone is in silent mode, it vibrates when i get that. Its very annoying! Anybody can suggest something to me on how to turn it off? It's really pissing me off!! :crying:

i think it bcoz some 3rd party apps check ur phone after boot to safe mode for this
1.turn off ur phone
2.press and hold volume down key
3.power on then the screen shows safe mode
check the phone in no vibration and sound mode
if the problem solved uninstall the recently installed 3rd party apps or
if the problem still exist try factory resetting
again it exists u must do a repair on sus
I use Llama to set my phone to silent mode when in work, i just got a call and the phone decided to ring and vibrate.
Ive also noticed that there using the volume buttons you cannot choose silent mode.
Actually could be down to Llama not recognising the cell tower I was connected to when the call was received.
