I'm looking for a music headphones, the one i have from the htc is good, but i want one with for music.
So im wondering if i should buy the HTC Touch Diamond Stereo Headset HS S200 (ExtUSB) found here or should i get HTC Touch Diamond Wired Remote Control RC E100 or HS U110 and just get a normal headphones to use with the 3.5mm adapater such as the as norm 3.5mm headset like the SENNHEISER MM50 but with the 3.5mm plugin.
I have used RC E100 with myold Cruise and it is a good choice. The fact that you could use own headphones made the quality perfect and as a bonus you have full playback and call control. I am not sure if it is still compatible with Diamond though. Also I have broken 2 of those in short time, but I was using them quite rough.
Well the ones included with my HTC Arrive had pause/play,answer and volume up & down but they broke and any other headphones I use with 3 button controls the only button that works is the pause/play feature? So is there any 3 button headphones that controls actually work with WP7?
...Anybody?
A2DP
Hi iEatRappers,
Have you thought of buying an A2DP bluetooth clip? (they can be bought very cheaply on Ebay) this way you can use any earphones that you like and the controls that you require are contained within the clip.
Hope this helps,
Creamy
I assume they will work, I borrowed some headphones the other day from mate that had play/pause and volume on them and they worked.
Creamy has the best response.
But you could just buy some more HTC headphones.
My stock HTC headset stopped working, and now i'm looking for a replacement. I like the sennheiser mm 30i, but i'm not sure the remote works correctly, can anyone confirm this? Could you also suggest something else with similar characteristics?
All HTC headphones maybe same like this, now I'm using I Phone4 headphone its working good and with small remote. Try it if u wnat...

I just bought a set of Dre Beats that comes with the new HTC Sensations off eBay, many people who have bought the phone and don't want to listen to their music on it are selling the earphones for upto £50.
I use a set of Beyer Dynamic MMX100 In-ear phones/headset- excellent set of headphones, I find Sennheisers to be slightly too transparent/tinny and all Beyers seem to be slightly warmer- good enough for the majority of the music industry/music studios etc then good enough for me
They are usually £120 RRP, but if you look on Amazon.co.uk, one seller has them in stock and selling them for £79.99 with free delivery (Amazon currently selling them for £102.11).
I use Dr Dre Beats Tour headphones, they're very good sound quality and the mic works, a little on the expensive side though.

I thin you must try Smartphone Experts Stereo Headsets (3.5mm).
It has good sound quality.
It combines integrated headset technology with a stereo sound isolating design to deliver rich, detailed sound while blocking outside noises.

I have a pair of Skullcandy Full Metal Jacket with mic and they work great. They are not expensive and they remote works with call and music. Not a bad choise if you want something cheaper
Stay away from Iphone compatible gear with analog volume control, i.e. trim pot, they be mono on HTC Desire. My own experience...
considering the Dr. Dre Beats!
Dr.Dree beats headphones, i tried Monster Beat headphones and they are fantastic I will try my best to get them here it is 50 euros, because a lot of people didn't wanted headphones
Sony Ericsson MW600 - my choice. comfortable and good quality.
Suggest you check out the HTC RC-E190 flat cabled in-ear headset. It is HTC branded from Expansys and has remote controls for calls and music which work well with Desire. It is available on Amazon for £10.28 with free shipping too. Decent quality too.
Ultimate Ears 400vi are also decent In-Ear headphones and they work well with the desire.
Sony Ericsson MW600 +1
Can't believe no one mentioned Jays?
Their value is amazing. Not the best In-Ear headphones at all, but considering their price they're amazing. Most audiophile forums I've checked find them to be better than Beats by Dre's in-ear series. I'm not a big fan of Beats (you don't get alot for your money, unlike Grado).
Check out a-JAYS One+ (the plus makes the difference). They come with a mic + remote (control button) and an app so you can decide what the button does. Standard settings are:
1 click: Music; pause/play - Call; answer/hang up
2 clicks: Music; next track - Call; reject call
1 click+hold, 2 clicks+hold and so on.
Got 'em myself. Works like a charm. And the sound is amazing.
Is there any remote control for Desire, which allows me to plug in my own headphones? I want something like the Nokia music controller. I don't need any mic, only volume controls (of the phone, not only of headphones!) suffy. Thanks
I'm looking for a headphone to be alternative to original htc headphone. Mine's jack is broken because of its structure. The htc headphone has a straight jack head. But most of the headphones in the parket are not straight, they are mostly shaped "L". So when you use headphone when your phone is in your pocket, the jack head of the headphone can be twisted. In time, the connection between jack and wire can be severed.
I couldn't find much to alternative htc headphone. As you know htc headphone has 3 buttons on it(prev, answer, next) and a mic. The headphones that I've found in my country are:
Nokia WH-701 : http://europe.nokia.com/find-produc...ts/wired-headsets/nokia-stereo-headset-wh-701
Philips SHH4507 : http://www.p4c.philips.com/cgi-bin/...ink_ServiceWarrantyInformation_GB&mode=iframe
I don't know if the "prev" and the "next" buttons works with htc desire. Actually I want to ask for that. Does any other headphone that has 3 button work with Htc Desire?
Hello,
I bought the iBeats headphones an they arrived today.
I've put them in my normal sensation (not XE or XL) and it works flawlessly.
When I press the play/pause button on the headphones, it works well.
But the arrow keys do not work (volume up/down).
At least, nothing happens.
Is this normal? A defect? Can this be fixed?
Thank you!

Hi!
Is it possible your iBeats is the iPhone version? Apple supports the 3 button control layout, Android only supports 1 button.
Work around solution is to find a headphone controller app (by Christoph is good) so you can control volume (plus forward, rewind, etc) with a button press

But the default HTC headphones also have 3 buttons on the cable?
I bought the Apple version on amazon, to me is the ControlTalk function not so important, so I ordered it myself. But it would still be great, if it would work.

Try jays headset control, its free from the market and works well with the one button headsets that work with android phones. I have the SOL Republic Amps and confirmed that the mic, answer and end calls works with the middle button. So with the addition of the app, I can now control volume and skipping tracks as well.

Hi!
Yup HTC sensation default headphones have 3 buttons but difference is the spacing lines in the jack between iphone ones.
IPhone headphones (w/ Mic) 3.5 mm jack has a different spacing lines layout (stereo left/right/Mic) than Android phones. This also functions for the volume/track control. If you have a chance you can compare both of the same model, for example Klipsch Si4 vs Si4A.
Earphones w/o Mic should be universal (only has 2 spacing lines). But no control function.
Hope this info helps

Thanks for the explanation.
As long as micro and middle button work, I am satisfied.
I'm not saying is your situation too. I'll just tell you about mine.
I've bought myself a Beats headset and because of the price, I was convinced it was genuine, but guess what? Is not...
At the 1st use I've seen the 2 volume buttons are not working so I thought like our colleague here "it have to be only for iPhone". Although, something bothered me so I've start to dig.
First of all, I've measured the HTC headset with an ohmmeter on the 2 contacts of the jack, near the cable. Each button push produce a different resistance, like is supposed to be. These resistances are measured by phone as well and it react consequently.
The big surprise was when I've done my measurements on the Beats as well. You'll never guess
The volume buttons effect = ZERO
Based on the "it have to be only for iPhone" theory, I want to be sure that those buttons are doing something in that headset, so I've disassembled the remote.
Once again you'll never guess... the 2 buttons (on my Beats headset) are simply not connected to anything
As a final test, I've took the headset from my wife's iPhone and put in my Sensation. It's working...
And by the way, the HTC headset (of my phone) is working completely on the iPhone as well.
In the end I've offered myself a couple of beers to help me accept the humiliation of being as fooled as I was.
Later edit
I've just read an article saying that "To those with beats headphones know that the volume buttons will never work on any android devices. The volume buttons are technically specific to I products (iPhone iPod etc) and HTC phones with beats audio."
Well I'm seriously having my doubts. Why? Because a colleague of mine, from office, has a very working Beats headset with his Android Galaxy and, like I've said, my HTC headset is working with my wife's iPhone (and I don't think is because we are relatives). Here is the article I'm not agreeing with. In the user review section.
I m using beats audio earphones and they are wrkng fearlessly.
