it is a Samsung PV210 1Ghz processor.
is there a way to upgrade it's android version or install a costume ROM?
i know the ROM needs to have the right drivers and suite the device hardware.
am i correct?
how can i "play" a little with this device?
thank you!

Did you ever got into this? I'm also interested

[HELP] rooting/flashing custom rom on generic Tabet

Hey there,
I recently bought an AMD A9 Cortex Dual Core MID Tablet from eBay and was wondering how to go about rooting and maybe flashing a custom ROM on this device.
I had managed to find a website saying to treat it like a nexus 7 when rooting. However I'm worried about possibly bricking it by flashing software not for this device. If anyone has got one of these devices and have managed to root and flash a custom ROM help would be much appreciated.

[Q] rooted a700 question

OK basically I am new to tablets and laptops and all that stuff so be patient.
I bought a second hand a700 and I believe its benn rooted to run jellybean. I'm not a big fan of having it rooted and wondering can an official update be done? If so how do I go about it? I'm In Ireland if that makes a difference.
Thanks in advance for any help

[Q] updating a samsung galazy s2

Hello everyone, I'm new here so if this is in the wrong place forgive me. I am interested in getting a samsung galaxy s2( im with tmobile if that is important) and updating to the latest version of android. Is that something that is possible for someone who is not knowledgeable in hacking a phone to any degree? If needed, I suppose I can find someone who knows what they are about and pay for the OS update. I just want to know if it would be worth it to buy the galaxy s2 and even try to update the software. In short, I don't need the latest and greatest in terms of hardware, but I did want the latest android version. Thanks in advance.

Hi
Samsung galaxy s2 is worth the buy but unfortunately its stuck with the 4.1.2 jellybean update officially
However you can always get the latest android version using custom roms
I am runing the latest android 4.3.1 version using the cyanogenmod 10.2 custom rom without any problems(t mobile variant also has the latest cyanogenmod 10.2)
And the advantage of the custom roms are they are way better than stock roms that come with the phone and have unlimited tweaking options
You can always do it yourself cause it is so easy and you can find many tutorials here in the xda forums and you can also find someone who deals with the custom roms and get you with the latest update
Good day

Startrail 8

Hey guys,
I just bought a Startrail 8 by LAIQ, after someone stole my cellphone, but i'm not that happy with it's firmware.
It has a Quad Core 1,25GHz processor, runs Android 6.0 and has 1 GB of RAM
1- So can someone tell me if there's a custom rom which is or should be compatible? and where can i find a good guide for doing it? Or is it simply impossible? cause i'm having a hard time finding anything online about it.
2- On another topic, the last time i rooted a devide (Oneplus1) i used Odin, but i was googling about my new cellphone, and found a guide where it explained how to "Flash" the latest official firmware (which i'm running on) and it also said i could install a Custom Rom without rooting my device (with Odin)? Is this possible and will i keep my warranty? And what exactly is the difference between flashing and rooting?
cheers and thanks in advance!

[Completed] installing a custom ROM on an unknown phone

So I recently dug out an old phone that a relative had bought from a local company. The company isnt very renowned so no ROMs are available. Through research, I found that there are a few people who have rooted and installed recovery, so i wanted to know if its possible to install a rom somehow? technically if theres a similar phone with similar specs, can it run that phones rom?
This phone has a mediatek mt6589 if it helps.

Hello,
We don't recommend flashing another device ROM into any other.
