Thats because it isn't a forum for questions...
The voltage is still stock i believe, but UV at lower than stock speeds.

I've searched the forums for the last 45 min - 1 hour) and have not found anything specific to overclocking the Infuse 4G. Please forgive me and kindly point me in the right direction if the information is in the forums as I have not found it.
I found an article on addictivetips.com (this forum won't let me post the link) that I followed but it bricked my phone.
AT&T Infuse 4G
rooted
CWM Recovery w/ voodoo lag fix 2.5.1.2 (I think)
Numas One ROM
You need a compatible kernel that supports overclocking, and then an app like voltage control or setcpu to do the overclocking itself.

Overclocking is a kernel mod. You probably flashed an incompatible kernel. If you are on numas ROM you will need infusion GB kernel. You can't run infusion froyo or a cm7 kernel. The kernel has to match the ROM.
Bewda's kernel also allows OC. And I personally No Frills CPU controller. Works fine.. Simple interface. Easier than voltage control to figure out. Not saying it doesn't work don't get me wrong, just easier to figure out. Stupid proof.
Edit: And seriously dude... READ! This question is answered ALL over the place. There has to be atleast 5 or 6 different threads in the Q&A section about OC'ing your device. Comon. READ... it's how we all learn and keep our devs happy so that we can keep getting updates. Just look at Jordian Elliots original MIUI thread...

I'll bet you never read the super thread in the dev section.
That's my hint.
Cranky...

Im running jellyfirebeanv2, and im wanting to know where i could find a custom kernel i could use, instead of the one that comes with the rom.
im a complete n00b when it comes to kernels and ive no idea where to find one.
Can anyone point me in the right direction? ive no idea which kernels would work with this rom
Thanks for any help

Thanks for replying.
I still dont really understand which one to pick, when ive read through some of the threads about the kernels. it doesnt say anything about compatability with my rom.
Is it just a case of trail and error?
Thanks again for any help ( and being patient )

First you have to understand what type of rom you're using. (Android version, sense version (if applicable)). So, you're looking for a kernel for jb roms (cm10/10.1 etc.) (hint: there's only one)
By the way, why do you want a different kernel? What improvements are you looking for?
I'm looking for a kernel that will let me over volt my CPU, just wanted to try it.
I'm running 4.2.2 on jellyfirebeanv2
Sent from my Desire S using xda app-developers app
I was just wondering if the kernel came undervolted stock for the AOSP JB version. Or would I need to use an app like system tuner to undervolt it.
Thanks in advance!
i dont know if it comes undervolted. but i know you can change it with the ktweaker app that is included.
heres the link. if you put in minimal effort youd save yourself time and furstration waiting for answers that are readily available.

just wanted to know if it came undervolted but thanks
no problem, wasnt being a jerk.
i can see hwo it could be read that way.
good luck, its my kernel of choice.
FYI KT747 kernel is one of the most popular kernels for this phone therefore its thread is almost always in the first page of the original development section. So it is safe bet to look there first before posting a question like this as that thread will answer your questions. Word of advice research first and only ask questions when you can't find the answers because I noticed that a lot of the questions that are asked can be searched within this forum except for the troubleshooting questions. Have fun with the kernel it is a very good one to use.
I'm using cm10.1 rom and its original cm kernel. which kernel has the best battery life?

Counting down until this thread is locked 5... 4...3...2....1...
If you want to know why, go and see what happens to every other "Best xxxxx" thread
try all available kernels and make your own comparison
As SimonTS mentioned, these kind of threads aren't allowed on XDA as they usually result in arguments/disputes between users of different kernels + it appears to be disrespectful to ask which is the BEST (whether that's your intention or not).
The best way to find out which kernel is most suitable for you is to test them out for yourself. That way you can truly find which had the better battery life/performance based on your own usage.
Due to the reasons mentioned above, Thread Closed!

Hi everyone, sorry to ask such a foolish question for my first post. I read Arter97's post about his kernel that he posted. I am having issues with my N920w8 Note 5, with a random kernel I flashed on, reboots during phone calls unless plugged to a charger. I read a lot of threads on here saying a new kernel would fix my issue, so here I am... Would I need to flash my Kernel back to stock or whatever it is before I use Arters kernel? It does say factory reset but would that flash back the original kernel from Samsung? Sorry if the question sounds stupid but I am not to aware of the rooting etc.. but trying to learn. Any reply is appreciated thanks guys.
Anyone please
