Hello everyone,
I have started this thread to create a general database of Benchmark results pertaining to I9003 under different conditions. We will be using Antu System Benchmark as it gives detailed breakup of different benchmark results.
Please try to keep your findings in this format and, if possible, attach image of your benchmark results (Use ShootMe) to grab a screenshot of your results.

This will help us to evaluate efficiency of various tweaks for our phones and for developers to develop better.
Hope everyone contribute here and keep this thread well organized and tidy.
I also request everyone to use Thanks button if you want to say just that. Write only when you need to say something more than that.
Thanks !

Hi,
Plz post details about rooting, lagfixed, tweaked and firmware. Otherwise we won't have a complete database and evaluation will be difficult. For example, see here itself, there are differences in results and why ? We don't know cause we don't have required info to analyse. So friends plz help in proper organisation of this database.
Thank you !

So, what do you think? I don't understand yet, why my score on Database OI is very significant different than yours, is it because I use lagfix?
Tell me, please.
Thanks.
Yes basically Lagfix seems to have improved only the Database IO score and generally this parameter is mainly improved, its evident from your score. Still my total score is ahead of yours
so, do you think I need to undo lagfix to get better score? give me advice please, coz I am still newbie for android. thanks

I dont see any relationship with lagfix for lower score infact you have second highest score. How many times did you run the benchmark. I ran it three times and took the third score which was the best. Usually First score is lowest as per my experience. So it is recommended that you run it morethan twice. In any case the highest score in benchmark does not indicate always the best performance of the the phone. But good performance and hardware may translate in to a good score.

Actually its your SD card speeds that has created major difference. Btw, nice font Mind sharing it And also the SD card name, size and class.
Thanks !
Fonts attached.
The SD card is from Transcend class 4 with 8 GB capacity.
Thank you trip.
Now I am little surprised cause even I have the exactly same card but difference is quite good.
This thread is turning out to be quite important.

Hi,
I have a seroius Problem with Overclocking my Device.
But first the (perhaps useful) Technical Data for my Device:
* Display: 7″ LED-Touch-Display (Resoultion 800 x 480)
* Processor: 500 MHz ARM11 (ARMv6 rev4 (v6l) / 498.07 MHz)
* Memory: 256 MB DDR RAM
* Internal memory: 1 GB Flash
* Android: 2.2
* Kernel: 2.6.29 FV.0025.MTD_RO
* Build: 02.01
Now heres the problem:
Root acess is given after some days of testing variations, all aplications which required root are working fine... okay exept Overclocking Tools. Ive tried every applikation for Overcloking i could find, different releases included. It seems there is anything on this Device which is different from most other android devices attending to the clock of the CPU.
My Questions now are:
- Is there any way to find out where the clock in the system is specified? Where does the Device load it from?
-Is it possible to modify it?
- If yes, which clock speed is possible with this CPU? (I read threre are Different Versins of this CPU and regarding to this i´ve read many different Clock speeds)
I´ve spend many time in the last days to search the net and test myself, but without any result.
Thanks for every help!
If you need some additional infos for this device or its software for solving this problem just ask!
*bump*
same problem here
could any1 give some suggestions?

GENERAL NOTES:
Booting pegasusq because it is very soft with frequency scaling and looks as good compromise between performance and battery saving.
User can insert boot actions by scripts in /etc/init.d. Here, it is important to establish execution's order, starting with numbers script names,
to run always the latter that has the largest number.
With this kernel, the user not need a separate script to run at the end of the boot.
Has been included an interface to the OC of the GPU, using "cat /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/gpu_frequency"' command to view current frequency.
Kernel will stop secundary processor when its performance is not necessary for the functioning of the tablet.
The second processor still remain stopped with low power requirement, even the first reaches 600 MHz.
Reduced the working voltage used by the Core, GPU, and CPU frequencies up to 1216 MHz.
Completely replaced the memcopy & memmove functions code for memory data movement. The new code can be up to 10 times faster.

This rom? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2783989
No because I prefer android 4.1.2 . However the tab remains with the sentence: "Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1". I feel the boot sound but the tab doesn't boot and remains the sentence "Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1"
Just want to say this kernel makes my device a proper tab 2 with 4.2.2. No lag just smooth.. thanks OP!
@tuxafgmur, if you want I can test 4.1 kernels for you
@tuxafgmur, send me a link to download by pm when you will do the next version. I will test it.

If your device is GT-P5100 then you must download p5100 file, else (your device is GT-P5110/GT-P5113) you must download P511x file.
I think that's your problem. Please, not change nor remove the assert lines.
Cheers, from very much hot (and sunny) Spain.

have anyone tried and tested on 4.1.2 ?
Hello,
I need some help please: the device (P5100 in my case) needs to be rooted and a new (modern) recovery installed or it works with stock recovery?
My TAB was previously updated to stock 4.2.2 (which I like it and used it for 5 months btw) without any other modification until now; and with your help, a little boost to it will be more than welcomed...

If you don't like by hand (/etc/init.d) you can use this:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.darekxan.voltagecontrol&hl=en
I like this app.
Thanks, however I'm trying your kernel with zap blaster 2.3 rom and it's fantastic , now I can use 4.2.2 well. Thanks for this fantastic kernel
Nice work indeed, thank you very much for a better kernel.
A little problem (on my P5100 at least): when using videos from youtube, after some suspend/resume/switching tasks, videos would lock up and wont play anymore, just black screen. I think it's because 900mV for 300MHz is not enough for my CPU. Is there a way to change that default boot frequency table to 950mV? I changed it with VoltageControl you mentioned above, and it seems it's working with the new settings, but I don't want to use an application at boot time, I just want to be the default 950mV for 300MHz. Where do I have to look?
sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/UV_mV_table*is changed when modifyed with VoltageControl, but reseted always to 900mV after boot.
Thank you again.
I really like this kernel!
Makes my son's Tab2 faster and snappier.
Please dear @tuxafgmur have you considered to update it anymore? :fingers-crossed:
Thanks in advance mate

Hi Agasharr,
Overclock 1.46 GHz working fine with your G386FXXUAOA1_G386FPRTAOD1_PRT.zip !
What's next ?
Thanks !
Hi, in next kernel i'll add:
CPU Governor (userspace, smartassV2)
I/O Scheduler (sio, deadline)
Added:
smartassV2 had some issues (running always at max speed) and was removed
lulzactive seems to have same issue, it's still in kernel but i'll probably remove it

Nor am I. But i see no sense in including all of them. Mostly there are based on Ondemand, Conservative or Interactive (as described in link You provided). So it's a matter to choose the best of it's type and tweak the settings to our device.
@Agasharr I agree with you, I ignore which is the best for us. By the way, this list may be outdated since 2012, maybe some new governors exist now ? @benplay G386FXXUAOA1_G386FPRTAOD1_PRT 2.zip flashed OK today with odin 3.10.6 for my French G386F too.
New kernel uploaded, cpu overcloced to 1,612 MHz.
Added nightmare governor.
Phone is stable, but running few benchmarks makes it definitely warm.
Maybe it's time to make http://forum.xda-developers.com/optimus-4x-hd/general/guide-homemade-heatsink-easy-to-make-t2971385
Antutu score rises to ~18700.
As some kind of summary (the left side, in green, my g386f with the latest kernel, the right side is "average" g386f from Antutu database)
Hi Agasharr,
With overclock 1.612 GHz, I get Antutu score 19246 with ondemand governor.
I guess next step is upgrade to Android kitkat, isn't it ?
Thanks !
Hi stefguer.
I wish it could be possible. But seems that no one can hack secure boot of g386f.In fact it's reason I named this kernel "last hope".
Shame for secure boot. What is your next upgrade then ?
I've some ideas if they work I'll let You know. But don't expect anything soon. Especially with such enthusiastic feedback I'm getting now
btw. inspired by the http://forum.xda-developers.com/optimus-4x-hd/general/guide-homemade-heatsink-easy-to-make-t2971385
I decided to make something with this additional heat from overclocking, i used termopad to transfer heat to more areas, 1 mm thick is max that can fit, if someone would like to try something similar I advice 0,5 mm
You gave me hope one more time in the Galaxy Core LTE !
However I have some questions... I'm not pretty good about android and the developpement of it and after and afeter reading many tutoriels I don't succed in getting mu boot.img : so how do you made ?
Hoping one day my phone will be with Cyanogen ^^
Hi, You want to flash kernel?
If so download G386FXXUAOA1_G386FPRTAOD1_PRT 3.zip
from the first post, unpack and flash it with odin (tool to flash samsung's firmwares)
If You want to prepare own boot.img just to be sure it's safe. You need to download samsung firmware (same version that is in your G386F), and follow the procedure described in the opening post.

Thanks a lot for your job for this device :good:
Nice ! Well, i think i won't try your kernel since my battery is not really in a good state and overclocking would make it worst, but do you think you could add OTG support in the kernel ? It seems the material and rom are OTG ready ('drivers' etc) but the kernel isn't
Suemax-kernel for N910C/H and N910U
CAUTION: I'm Not Responsible for any kind of Damage to your devise or Hard or Soft brick and even any damaged MicroSD-cards And now your devise warranty is Void and knox trip 0x1.
Note Read Carefully Before Flashing my kernel :
1) Keep the thread clean and try to research before e.g Google or wiki Before posting any further queries.
2) As mentioned Over-Clocking and Under-Clocking CPU or GPU is Not really healthy for Devise Hardware,So keep in mind its
Only an Option i'm providing due to its Got some limitations and might Damage soc in Extreme .
3) Under-Volting or Over-Volting CPU or Gpu to Extreme is not Helthy either And on Exynos 5433 soc it waries on scale
ASV-Group 0 to 15 (The higher the ASV, the higher frequencies your device can run and lower voltages).
4) And Ofcourse Need not to ask best settings (This term does not exist) for your devise e.g Undervolting etc And read
point 3 again . FYI : All users are different and So is devise Soc and there Usage + Usability of each User.
5) About Random-reboots are often Happens due to Unstable user Settings .So think twise before to apply any setting in
Snaypse app e.g CPU ,GPU or IO requires resrating Snaypse App or Even reqires a Rebooting devise to make apply proper
Setting like Under-Volting or IO scheduler.
6) No Asking ETAs and Special-demands .
7) Everything is detailed and explained in Synapse app for Most Users and All settings Values are Stock On first Boot.
8) Use Only SYNAPSE app to Control Kernel.

Always nice to see development coming across NOTE 4. Downloading as we speak.. test it out & will report.
Thanks for kernel & supporting NOTE 4 development.
THANKS FOR YOUR GREAT KERNEL
Can i turn off some a57 cores ?
I want control 2 core a57 and 4 core a53 running. Is it possible ?
Thanks
No V2 yet? I don't approve! Lol j/k, thanks for your kernel! <3
Going to try this out. Thanks OP!
Intitial Testing: It's fast. Almost the same as the kernel I used to use on 5.0.1. One thing though, could you add AUTO for HMP Migration? I think it sets itself to ON while on Power Save and Off automatically when PS is off.
Bug: Number of Cores running only works for 4 to 8. Turns out you can't turn off any small cores.
Edit: HMP Migration stays at OFF. If you reopen synapse it'll be off again if you turned it on.

Just read OPs
Thank you .!!!
@ArmsAsuncion
1) There No Bug and thats How hotplug works on Big core with 4 to 8 core option .
2) You the only user who have this issue with HMP migration and it just Work fine after even Reboot .
3) HOTplug on Little cores its not possible or nither any dev like mentioned in ops had tried .
4) You did not provide specific Details and Using Agressive Hotplug with HMP migration might not work .
Note : Stop irrelevant questions and read OPS + reasearch or troubleshoot before next Reporting .
Thanx
Well, not to be rude or anything but it's really not saving for me. It's fine though. Maybe something's off with my rom/synapse. I'm not asking irrelevant questions. Is HMP an irrelevant question? If you say so, then.. thanks for answering though.

its nothing about Rude at all .!!! Its simple Logic Most of the time its Userspace error and instead of checking reporting Nagative feed back false Bug is considered irrelevent And thats only reason I mentioned alot in OPs :good:

Lol and its pretty clear in its term "hmp fork migration on big cores" Is Self-Define
I won't know if it was only me who gets the problem without asking first, right? Okay. I don't want to sound rude and will stop now.

Dear friend .!!! its not your fault but False alarming is not good for my thread
BTW : you see the screenshot i have posted after even reboot and there is no such issue at all for enable or disable. And Little details would help explaining your Issue as Mentioned And no point nagging on Developer with false bug report.
Cheers
