Dev help with log report - Milestone XT720 General

Can any Dev's help me. I don't know too much about Android but know some about linux. The problem I'm having is my phone is rebooting while in middle of a call. I have reflashed back to 2.1, wiped everything. Still happening. I did some realtime logging and was able to catch something. Any idea what is going on?
******This is what I caught in ADB************

Possible bug: Cannot connect to prepaid "wap" data plan

Fellow XDAers,
I'm trying to setup my prepaid WAP data plan with the G1, but I fail (no network connection happens). This is one of those data plans that the carrier offers a low cost but restricted service, allowing you to browse the web, etc, only through its proxy. In my case it is the greek "Wind plus non stop" (similar I think to the T-Mobile t-zones).
I'm 99% sure that the settings I use are correct, as I have been using them for years and with many different phones (HTC Kaiser, Samsungs, Nokias, SEs). Plus I have tried many variations in the settings...
So, do any of you have a similar problem? Are there any known bugs related?
This is a snippet from logcat that keeps repeating... I don't see other lines that seem relevant.

Perhaps, I have to manually set the DNS settings.... (goes off to find how to do that)...EDIT: no success.
Rereading the log, the login into the server seems OK as the ipAddress is changing, but the connection is not alive.
Looks like issue 1030 on cyanogenmod. It seems that eclair completely ignores proxies.
hm, not sure if it's the same issue. In my case, no data connection seems to be established (no "G" or "3G" icon on status bar) and trying the browser just complains that no connection is present.
An if your comment about Eclair is correct, the issue goes from bad to worse
Thank your for the reply!!

4.4.1/4.4.2 Update Causing Wi-Fi/bam_dmux_wakelock issues

Previously, on regular 4.4, I was able to keep Wi-Fi on and have it set to always keep Wi-Fi on during sleep. My phone got great battery life and usually slept just fine when the screen was off.
Since updating to 4.4.1 and now 4.4.2, both my phone and my wife's phone will not sleep if Wi-Fi is connected. I am getting a large percentage of bam_dmux_wakelock in conjunction with a hot phone.
(Both of these threads weren't any help http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2523162 and http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1811365 in this situation).
Because my wife's phone is having the issue and she never installs apps, I can rule out any new app causing the problem.
I looked into the logcat and it appears that, with Wi-Fi on and connected, the phone will constantly switch between Wi-Fi and a mobile connection.
Here are some relevant logcat snippets:
Code:
D/ConnectivityService( 770): ConnectivityChange for WIFI: CONNECTED/CONNECTED

For the time being I cannot have Wi-Fi on or else my phone will get hot and drain the battery in a couple of hours.
Is anyone else experience this? This only started happening with the 4.4.1 and now 4.4.2 updates.
Looks like somehow my router started sending incorrect MTU values. I changed it from "auto" to 1500 and now everything is as it was before.
The following logcat tipped me off:
Code:
E/ConnectivityService( 770): Unexpected mtu value: [email protected]
ConnectivityService.java has the message defined here:
Code:
if (mtu < 68 || mtu > 10000) {
loge("Unexpected mtu value: " + nt);
return;
}
No issue here!

mobile data gets disconnected every so often

Hi,
I'm noticing every few hours (quite random) mobile data gets disconnected (although the cell reception is fine, 5 bars, just the data icon (H+) disappears for a few seconds.

I have the latest radio from 4.4.2 and running OmniRom with the stock kernel (have tried franco and get the same behaviour). Have tried a different sim from a different carrier and still happens.
Any idea what can be the problem?

Have tried both Vodafone and Telecom NZ, same thing happens.
The Vodafone sim doesn't have LTE provisioned so it's only using HSUPA+, the Telecom SIM has LTE enabled and working fine but problem persists between them.
Is your APN configured correctly?

It is. Everything works as expected and I rarely notice this happening but I see it in the openvpn logs (as the openvpn client reconnects on android).
Sometimes it happens when I have the screen on and doing some browsing, other times it happens with the screen off (I notice in the openvpn server logs).
Could it be a selinux issue?
Under device info where it says SE for Android
I think enforcing is bad
I'm fuzzy on the subject

I found the problem but not a solution.
This only happens when I'm connecting to an OpenVPN server through UDP.
If the server is using TCP, everything is fine.
Once it goes to UDP, it causes data drops.
As strange as that may be..
Very common issue, its software related towards the modem/ RIL

[Q] XT925 KKBL Bootloop

So I was running cm11 m12 on my xt925, using the moto_msm8960_jbbl build. I noticed that kitkat was finally available for fido/rogers so I decided to rsd to stock jellybean and upgrade to kitkat ota just to be up to date with the bootloader. Update was sucessfull, everything worked fine, but I wanted to go back to cm.
I started with the m12 moto_msm8960 build, got to the setup part of cm, add google acount etc, everything freezes then reboots. After trying a few times it seemed it crashed at different places. Formatted, tried the newest nighty, same issue. Tried an earlier version from when jbbl and kkbl were part of the same build, same issue. I moved on to dhackers cm12 build, slimkat, other cm11 builds, all with the same issue. I started to believe it had something to do with my wifi radio, so i disabled it via adb on boot, tried the same with data, no success. Cant rsd back to stock jb now either. Perhaps what I captured with logcat before my phone rebooted might mean more to someone with more knowledge and know how.

I had dhackers new aosp lolipop running for about five minutes at a time, but had the same problem. I figured out that removing two lines in the stock xml file would let me downgrade to stock jellybean as a temporary solution.
To me, this looks ROM related rather than device. I assume you did a clean flash? Wiped everything before installing either? What gapps did you flash?
Yes wiped everything every time. I used the appropriate gapps for every single install, sometimes skipping it completely just to see if it made a difference, no difference. Like I said in my original post, I even tried slimkat with the same issue. I even tried different versions of twrp and philz recovery (couldnt get any cwm to work with the new bl) to no avail. Im back on stock kitkat now, going to keep with it for now as i'll be heading out of town for work for awhile, i'll try again when I return.
I wonder if this is related to that sdcard permission fix I saw rolling around the forums. Clearly it has a permission issue of some kind. I myself didn't run into this issue but I do remember seeing the fix I mentioned in the CM11 thread but can't remember who posted it.
Its a possibility, although I did remove my SD card at one point as well.

The reference in your log to /storage is the internal SD, can't remove that Search the CM11 thread, you'll find the flashable fix, see if it helps.
I'll have a look, thank you for your help, much appreciated.

Can someone help me?
I was using CM11 JBBL version
I tried to flash CM12 and I've got an error. Then i was after a fix of it in XDA and found this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/dro...tutorial-make-motorola-razr-hd-xt925-t2916465
After updated my Razr HD to KKBL, I've flashed TWRP 2.8.2.1 from dhacker tweet:
https://twitter.com/dhacker29/status/557054829357707264 (used the fastboot from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2588979)
I got this error message while flashing the recovery:
(bootloader) Variable Not Supported --- But TWRP booted fine.
Tried to flash some CM12 or CM11 ROMs from TWRP and didn't worked. CM12 got boot loop (1h waiting and nothing...) and CM11 don't boot.
I tried to use the mfastboot to flash again the TWRP, i've flashed also TWRP 2.8.2.0 and CWM 6.0.4.9, and got no error message this time.
All recovery booted fine, but any solved my problem.
I've tried to flash:
CM11 20140218-NIGHTLY
CM12 20150121-NIGHTLY
CM12 20150120-NIGHTLY
CM12 20150115-NIGHTLY
CM12 moto_msm8960 KBBL
none worked, all CM12 got the same issue... boot loop

Well, after some tries still didn't worked until I flash another Custom ROM (MoKee MK44.4-moto_msm8960-150118-RELEASE)
Mokee booted fine in KitKat (and finally my phone was working again). I've performed a backup of it and tried to flash again CM12 and ... WORKED :victory:
Booted the CM12 and just after a couple of minutes it showed me kind of a notification (was performing a update) before it boots the launcher.
When the laucher booted, it was working, until I see that Gapps wasn't installed. Did the Gapps installation and booted fine again.
Tried to download an app from Store and there was no keyboard installed this time. Downloaded a keyboard apk, mounted the SD on PC to transfer and install and the "stock" keyboard started to work, but was no phone signal. CM wasn't recognizing my SIM.
So I've downloded the last Nightly version (feb. 22, 2015), flashed, botted and it's working fine now.
Going to test it for now

[XT1032] Wifi not working - have log, need help!

The wifi on my Moto G (1st Gen/XT1032) won't turn on - on stock 5.0 and 5.1, the toggle slides across and immediately slides itself back. On Cyanogenmod, the toggle is greyed out altogether.
Got a log via ADB, seems to say it can't load the wifi driver at /persist/WCNSS_qcom_wlan_factory_nv.bin.
Here's the relevant section from the log. Shows what happens when I try to toggle wifi on:

I think this is the critical item, seems to say it can't read the file?
Code:
09-01 01:07:57.647 W/ueventd ( 6429): type=1400 audit(0.0:5): avc: denied { read } for uid=0 name="WCNSS_qcom_wlan_factory_nv.bin" dev="mmcblk0p29" ino=12 scontext=u:r:ueventd:s0 tcontext=u:object_r:unlabeled:s0 tclass=file permissive=0
I've tried replacing the file (in case it was corrupted) and also setting permissions to 777. Neither change helps!
I don't know what else might cause it to be unable to load the wifi driver. Can anyone who know more than me offer any suggestions?
