Hello All,
I hope someone could help. I am running Wolfbreak's ROM and using Adobe Flash 10.2 from Market. The player works fine, but when playing a long video (ie, a TV show episode from Megaupload) the phone reboots itself.
I noticed that if I underclock the processor to 699 it doesn't reboot as quickly as before. However, it reboots after a while.
I disabled all tweaks on my phone (sysctl, build.prop mods, theme) so all I am missing is to reflash unless somebody else confirms the same issue.
Can someone try to stream a whole movie and see how it goes?
Not really to sure what is going on? I have streamed full tv shows, played games, but have not watched any movies. I have not had a single reboot since flashing WB newest rom. I would try to reflash and see if it fixes the problem.
I'm with up053 and I have no problem with whole movie

Im running 2.3.2 CM7 & 2.3.3 Detoxed with netarchy's kernel, and everytime i go to watch a video over wifi on the app the video plays normally for around 15/20 mins then the problems begin.
Video crashes totally but sound continues.
Video goes to small view on the app, with double sound with a delay between the two.
Video plays normal but with the media controls showing constantly and cant remove them.
When this happens i have to go back to the iplayer main screen pick the program again and seek to the position where it crapped out, however if there is more than 15/20 mins left it will repeat the errors again forcing me to seek back to the point where it crapped out again.
I have 10.1 Flash installed and have tried re-installing it and fixing permissions, and these errors happen under 2.3.2 & 2.3.3
Anyone else getting this ?
it's fine on stock 2.3.3
I've found it to be a very unreliable and buggy app in general. So I doubt its any problem with your device.
Just hope they are working on improving it!
I never have had problems with my tablet's flash player performance. Suddenly i noticed that in sites like gametrailers or ign, i have to touch the screen in order to keep the video running. I ve never seen something like that on any other android device. Keep in mind this doesn t happen in youtube. What happened suddenly? I tried uninstalling the latest update of adobe flash player, i even tried a factory reset, nothing happened. Has anyone a clue about what may causing this? When i release the screen the video lags or stops completely but sound keeps running
I've recently installed the latest version of crDroid rom kitkat. Everything was working fine till date but now I'm facing a problem while playing videos in landscape mode. I've used mx player and mostly all other video players but none is working. I can only hear audio. The same video can be played in portrait though. Can somebody provide a fix?
I know it's not a bug in this particular rom. So I mentioned earlier that everything was working fine initially including video playback until today. I might have done something wrong but I'm clueless as to what it is. So, I'm looking for a fix from anybody who can help...
I'm glad that I've finally managed to fix this problem on my own. I must have tweaked some system file earlier. So, I did a dirty flash of the current rom i.e crDroid without wiping anything and voila the video playback and everything else is working fine. So, anybody facing this same problem in future can follow this same process. However, do remember that you need to refresh/restart your superuser app and also busybox if you have it installed...
This worked fine prior to Lollipop, but now anytime I receive a Snapchat VIDEO from someone (photos show fine) it goes to a black screen. The video never plays and Snapchat says the video is still ready to be viewed. Any ideas? This is running stock Lollipop (latest build).
Same problem with snapchat video in CM12 on OPO

I am also having this exact same issue after upgrading my OPO to Lollipop/CM12. I have tried removing and reinstalling Snapchat. I have also tried the beta vs non-beta versions. Nothing fixes the video playback issue. Any luck getting this fixed?
Have you tried changing the player in development options, try awesome player instead of nu player
Switching back to Awesome Player from Nu in developer options fixed it!

Just brilliant. That was exactly the issue. I had turned on Nu Player in developer options to see if that would resolve a strange "robotic voice" sounding issue with my vehicles built in bluetooth. Didn't really help, but I never changed it back to awesome player. That caused a lot of issues. Unable to view videos in snapchat, play videos in instagram, etc. Switching back to Awesome player resolved all problems instantly, no restart even needed. Thanks so much.
Im using Temasek rom lollipop 5.1.1 and snapchat is working fine no problems here
youtube app freezes randomly while playing videos. it starts playing again after 10 seconds or so.
i 've also noticed that if i pull up the keyboard in another app (while youtube video is frozen), the keypress sound doesn't work.
it seems like the audio component of android craps out at random times which causes the freezing issues.
happens rarely but it's annoying nonetheless. and it only happens in youtube. never had any audio/video issues with mxplayer.
is it just my phone, or is this also happening to other folks with the z5?
running official firmware 7.1.1. I was using NOBA firmware (7.1.1) before, but i have since switched to Canadian firmware(7.1.1). So far so good, but I'm sure this problem will come back soon enough. I've also tried 7.0 Global firmware and youtube crapped out on that too.
No unlocked bootloaders/roots or anything like that. Running pure stock mode.
Full wipe and flash last rom.
