ThePeuJ has kindly made us a small simple torch app taking advantage of the ability of the service led to display a white light, currently the white led is not that bright but we think it can be brighter, as its been witnessed in service mode.
If you are able to induce service mode, please share how you do it, and if you have the white led in service mode, can you please do a simple test, shake your tg01, when you look at the led as you shake, do you see a white led, or red green and blue?
I can add to this that it is possible to reliably induce a pure white LED on the HD2 rom release 2 using this method, power on, then immediately hold down the camera button, about 5 seconds later you will have a blank screen with white led, this led is solid white, its not made up of red green and blue.

that is not a led? looks like a led to me...
It's not a LED, it's a light sensor. Used for adjusting the screen brigtness.
The only indicator led is the one around the center button.

are there any blinking leds on the fuze or is mine busted? like plain old blinking green for normal, and blinking blue for bluetooth on...
or is the led looking thing on the left of the speaker is that a light sensor?
There are no blinking led's on the Fuze like the Tilt to show BT or Green for signal. There is only the LED in the zoom wheel to indicate a missed call/email, etc.
Anyone else's Fuze LED near the speaker working?

It's not a light, it's a light sensor used to automatically adjust the backlight on the screen.
The message blink is the circle pad area.
while my xoom is off.....a red light flashes next to the front facing camera. I'm on the latest tiamat. When I boot up it all goes away
Hold the power long enough and it will boot if you don't hold it long enough it will flash red

I think the LED is called the 'Security' LED, though not really sure what it means when it blinks. As Cesar said, most (if not all) get the LED to blink if you don't hold the power button in long enough when trying to boot it. Interestingly, before the 3.1 update it would blink 3 times for me if I didn't hold the power button long enough. Now it only blinks once.
Does yours blink constantly while the xoom is off?
and someone off you have problem with the front-facing-camera? the red light keeps on and the image of camera crashes in diagonal stripes?
please help my xoom won't finish its loading man screen appears then back to loading screen amd the red light blinks sometimes too ..

I'm wondering if there is an android app that creates little notification blinking lights for notifications, so for example, if I get a text and a facebook message, there would be a blinking orange light, and a blinking blue light on the screen. I just got the S10 and I miss the LED from the S8. I don't want always on display to suck up battery, I just want to have little blinking lights when a notification comes. If the lights could be on screen, and have multiple and be customizable, I would definitely pay for an app like that!
