Updated: Thunderbolt Bootscreen. 32mb Click Here to Download.
Download bootanimation.zip
Put it on your SDcard
Open Terminal Emulator enter these commands:
su
cp /sdcard/bootanimation.zip /system/media/
reboot
Enjoy.
If commands above don't work, try this settings by XDA member [waichai].
waichai said:
ok after do more research for this. since my device only has 10mb left under /system/media, there is no way i can put this 32mb bootanimation into /system/media. Then i try to put bootanimation zip goes to /data/local, and it works since this /data/local has more 100mb left. I use Root Explorer to copy and paste.
Edit: i don't have bootanimation.zip file in /system/media folder anymore.

either way is fine, once you're in a "message" or on any screen that will open the keyboard, once its open tap and hold in the text area till you get a pop up asking what "input" to use, and then select the keyboard of your choice, i would flash it though, i flash install everything lol.
I did the "regular" way that you said (the input method) and it was force closing. That's what I meant by it not working lol. Does it work for sure if I flash it?
I installed both ways. It works but fc when I choose vibrate option.
Sent from my Incredible using XDA App
flash otherwise itll forceclose
Yes flash it, and u should be ok. Like I said I have yet to see issues with it, but I flash install everything.
Sent from my ADR6300 using XDA App
got the keyboard working great, but if i turn on the word suggestion it FC's when i type the 2nd letter of a word. also when I open the dictionary app i get an error that the db file doesn't exist. if i don't turn on the word suggestion it works great but i notice i misspell lol
anyone get the dictionary working?
Yea I just noticed.that too, ill try contacting the " dev " and ask him what's up.

[App] Android Market 3.1.6

Heres 3.1.6 it works great on my optimus . You need to replace Vending.apk in system/app because it wont install like a standard app ;( so rename the download to Vending.apk and copy it to the system/app folder and overwrite the old version then set these perms:
Or get the flashable version here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=18042212&postcount=19

Works but...
Works for me just as good (or bad) as the 3.15. But I don't see any big changes after all those minor updates, and it is still not as fast and smooth as the very old market but at least it looks nicer.
I did, now I did it a second time and let it be for a few minutes. Works now

im going to make a update.zip for this so it runs a script to remove all traces of any other market versions.
I was an idiot....
The problem has solved. Becuse of /system/bin/Vending.odex
Works very fine now after delete that file
Solved all of my force close and performance issues with 3.1.5.
Here's a flash-able zip for anyone that would rather do it that way...
There has been some concern about the signing of this apk. I did not find this, only made it into a flashable zip.
Download at your own risk.
I have personally had zero issue with this market version and it has actually relieved all performance and force closes issues I had with previous versions
Works great on htc sensation.

you can always try putting a new bootanim ni root/system/media
named as bootanimation.zip
but better confirm with someone who owns this model before doing this.
I know how to do it, but I don't wanna mess up my fone, thanks tho

Do u wanna change the very beginning boot logo or the boot animation?
Sent from my LG Phoenix P505 using xda premium
Just place the bootanimation.zip file to /system/media
If it stuffs up, ie bootloops or what nots, and you can't remove it with a root explorer etc, then boot your phone up to CWM or the recovery you use and use adb shell (through your PC) to remove the bootanimation.zip file. ie the following commands:
Code:
adb remount
adb shell
rm -rf /system/media/bootanimation.zip
exit
adb reboot
Done
like wen I turn my fone on
Sent from my LG-P500 using the XDA mobile application powered by Tapatalk
that looks complicated lolz but ok
Sent from my LG-P500 using the XDA mobile application powered by Tapatalk
CM should have its own boot img. That you can change. Other images before it are phone and kernel img, there harder to change.
You have to be rooted to be able to change your boot animation. I have used Es File Explorer to simply paste my desired boot animation to /system/media. Then reboot.

[BOOT ANIMATION][Android 4.1][Jelly Bean] Ported from Galaxy Nexus 4.1 OTA

(SOMEONE PLEASE PROVIDE PATH TO STOCK BOOT ANIMATION SO I CAN UPDATE THE CORRECT PATH) AS OF RIGHT NOW, THIS IS NOT CORRECT)
Here is a ported Jelly Bean boot animation. Had to port it over Because the OTA file actually had the resolution set at 640 x 640... not sure if that would have worked, but there was also some incorrect characters in the desc.txt. So I fixed all that and booted it up on my Galaxy Nexus, no problems. Should work on any 720p phone period, but here it is.
Taken from this file
5a07884d325c.signed-takju-JRN84D-from-IMM30D.5a07884d.zip
Here is the bootanimation, its a flaming nexus symbol basically.
>>>>>>>>> HERE <<<<<<<<<<<
1. rename to bootanimation.zip
2. mount system r/w in root explorer
3. move to /system/media
4. change permissions to rw-r--r-- or chmod 644 if using adb
5. boot and enjoy

That means you didn't over write the file correctly. Try again but delete or rename the existing bootanimation.zip in /system/media before copying the new one, and be sure you are using root access.
Our boot animation is in /system/customize/resource
Folder is named boot.zip or "ATT boot something" depending on the ROM you are running. Just back up the right file and rename it.

And to anyone with a stretched animation, try this one out.
Changed the resolution to 512,512 (the image size) and fixed desc.txt
Works well on my SGS1/CM9
I cannot even paste the .zip anywhere by using root explorer cause the file error says. "Cannot move file cause it read only" I have it renamed

You can use something like root explorer to move it to the /system/media folder.
Or if you know how to use adb all you do is "adb push bootanimation.zip /system/media" (without the quotes) make sure the bootanimation.zip is in the same folder as adb.
This didn't work for me. When I rebooted it just went to the android boot animation. I put it in system/media... however I deleted the old one. Did I need to? But when I press it my root explorer can't open it. What gives ?

Change permissions to rw-r--r-- using root explorer..
Even though I'm not running CM10 (yet) I threw this bad boy on there just because it's awesome.
Changing permissions works perfectly. Thanks bro. Just wish it said cyanogenmod "10" instead of just cyanogenmod.
