Of course. It's no secret that AT&T is sketchy at best!

[Q] Help please

According to this (http://www.phonemag.com/htc-touch-diamond-and-touch-pro-release-dates-pricing-084482.php), the HTC Pro will probably be coming to Sprint before AT&T releases the Fuze. So, if I bought the Sprint version of the phone without a contract will it work with AT&T?? Im on AT&T right now and im not changing carriers just to have this phone earlier than the Fuze.
Thanks...
No, it will not. Sprint uses CDMA technology while ATT uses GSM technology.

Samsung Note

I see Amazon selling the unlocked Samsung Note and mostly all people who bought it are on At&t. I was wondering would this work with Sprint newtwork. I guess At&t and Sprint are on different networks. I saw that At&t guys had to change theie APN.

No. Sprint uses CDMA which means no SIM cards. The note will only work on AT&T, T-mobile, and basically every other network in the world besides Verizon and Sprint.

[Q] Motorola XT557

Hi,
My friend gave me an used Motorola XT557. HW V4.0. It was a Republic Wireless phone and he is not using it anymore and his contract expired. Because it is a CDMA phone, can I use it with other CDMA carriers? such as Verizon, Sprint, or those CDMA prepaid wireless providers? Or I have to tweak the OS/ROM in order to do that? Thank you for your help.

Probably not with Verizon. Possibly with Sprint, since Republic uses their network. The best people to ask would be Verizon or Sprint themselves.

Galaxy S6 Verizon

So the S6 on Verizon is $600. I want a cheaper price, but I want LTE on T-Mobile. Does Verizon's S6 work with T-Mobile's frequencies?

Why wouldn't it? The Verizon S6 supports AWS Band 4 which is what the majority of T-Mobile's LTE network is...
For sure Tmobile LTE will work on Verizon phones including iphone 5s 6 6+ Nexus 6 and LG G3
I have not tried the GS6 but it should work
I'm curious about it's GSM ability as well. I am going to London next month and am hoping I can buy a prepaid SIM there and be good to go. I am grandfathered on the unlimited data with Verizon so I paid full price for the phone, it should be unlocked or unlockable for use overseas, no?
guys i will answer for you.
I bought 3 SG6 from Verizon and none of them connect to 4g, fine with HSPA+, LTE, Edge, and everything else but forget about 4g
Lte is 4g

Yeah lol like guy above me said lte is 4g.
Sent from my VS980 4G using XDA Free mobile app
On T-Mobile they appear to actually have 4G and LTE networks. Not sure what the differences are underlying the two, but it is actually a meaningful distinction with T-Mobile. I just recently did a "test drive" on T-Mobile and learned of this (it was rather confusing at first because I'm used to 4G = LTE on Verizon).

Any definite answer as to if Verizon S6 will work on T-Mobile for voice, edge, 3g, and lte?

There's no way to buy a new, already unlocked 8T for Sprint, correct?

Looking at picking up a 8T, and I'm on Sprint with zero desire to leave or change to Tmo. I would absolutely need this thing unlocked, as I've become far too attached to having a dual SIM phone. I've only bought phones direct from the manufacturers for quite a few years so that I would get factory unlocked phones, as I've heard Sprint can be a real pain in getting phones unlocked even when they're paid off.
But I'm also reading that Sprint will only whitelist the 8T that they've sold, so it sounds like it will be impossible to buy a phone that's already unlocked? Just wanted to make sure before dropping $800 at the Sprint store tomorrow...
Why are you still on Sprint?

Because I want to.
If you buy it from OnePlus, it will not work on Sprint.
Sprint isn't on the list of supported carriers
Then I guess Sprint sells a phone that won't work on their own network...

I didn't honestly know they were even still in business, I thought they stopped service long ago. That info I posted was from OnePlus and it's list of compatible carriers. Sprint always was and always will be a huge POS.
You just have to accept and make the jump to t-mobile

Twice the cost for half the coverage...yep, sure sounds like the logical choice to me!
I thought sprint was bought by t mobile.

Wow you pay for sprint? I thought they gave away the service for free for the past few years before the buyout.

Tmobile bought Sprint for their spectrum holdings and to increase their coverage to better compete against Verizon and AT&T. Sprint has always had better coverage than Tmobile, but mismanagement and losses over the years made them a smaller company revenue-wise and ripe for the taking, hence the assimilation by Tmobile.

It's odd that the 8T sold direct from OnePlus' website's specifications correlate with compatible frequencies for Sprint, yet it doesn't list compatibility with Sprint. CDMA frequencies BC0 (850 MHz), BC1 (1900 MHz), BC10 (800 MHz), and LTE 25, 26, 41.
But, Sprint sells an 8T+ 5G on their site, which is ofcourse locked to their network.

Because Sprint uses a whitelist for phones.
