You can find the video there. I have 2 versions which aren't much different. Just an extended with more stuff on it as well. Check it out if you are interested in seeing what is on there first before you try it.
Thanks to Faria for the rom! Its great. Digg it if you like it, thanks!
kill the lame music...cant hear you
advert
looks like a advert for spb mobile shell
!! ??? !!
wtf mate, wtf...
What the hell are you guys talking about? I wanted the music high but I can still hear everything im saying clear. Plus I want the music to be high because thats how I get potential clients.
No Spb Mobile is the stuff. It makes a windows phone what It should look like with the now screen. Not doubt about that. But the last comment. What are you talking about? Sorry you dont like it, maybe this isn't the right crowd anyway.
Its supposed to be for people that want to see what this is all about. Sorry I wasted your time!
I myself thought the clip was pretty cool.
Appreciate the response. Going back and hearing it again, I could have possibly turned me up a tad bit more.
But listen.. I like doing these for fun... And last one I did on the Cingular 8125 got my a job doing some music production for Pauly Shore so maybe I could get more clients this way as well as make a cool video.. So blam.. LOL.. No but seriously, its amazing where people find you!
OMG people are so dumb
thanks for the effort can you link any cool software
or icons used or is this all in the rom as i have no sound lol
thanks for the effort
Can I link cool software? The stuff that I talked about in the video has links under it. Icons I used for what? You meant whatever there. The programs are Spb Mobile Shell really and using it with Faria Rom Wm6.
Oh wait, you have no sound... I see.. That sucks man, go get some speakers! I got some laying around that id ship you for hm... maybe a wii controller?

don't forget sbc
i got so annoyed with the music i couldnt watch the whole thing never heard him say sbc lol
I thought the demo was nice. Music was loud for a few but you get the point and I didn't see any advertising at all. Mobile Shell is probably one of the coolest apps out right now. Anyone who has used it will tell you the same. Give the guy a break, nice contribution.
cool video's
Hey, can you tell me exactly if you are overclocking your 8125. It seemed pretty responsive and fast and I didn't see mine like that. Is there special settings. Did you install your own 3rd pary software to run that or perhaps some registry performance tweaks. Or if you are just using the installed software, maybe its the battery status prog. What are the settings? Are you doing Xscaling?
can someone post that beautyfull today theme that's showing on the video? .tsk file i ment...
btw, nice video!
rgs,
viliamr
that wasnt faria? i thought faria made that rom, are they friends or something?
Is something up with the radio in your phone, or are you in poor coverage? I have never seen my wizard spend that long searching for signal. What provider are you using?
As for the rest of the video, about 50% of it is about the SPB Shell. Although I also use and love this 3rd party program, I would have expected a video advertised as a "WM6 Faria Rom Video Demo" to spend very little if any time demoing a 3rd party commercial product.
I wonder how many people are going to see this video and be like "oh cool" when they see that shell, and then flash the faria rom and wonder where the hell it is at, not knowing that it is 3rd party pay software.
Your voice is very hard to make out over the music, I gave up on trying to figure out what was being said after about 1/3rd into the video
Dude, im by far no kid. But I was kinda out there when doing it. Who cares what I say when more people say they like it than hate it. I try to just be a regular down to earth hippie tech geek that I am when doing it. You might be right that I am only 3 weeks new to Spb Mobile (which damn spb is sometimes hard to say) but I can say for sure I know what I am talking about you. I dont know you to say this but I can guess that I been using computers longer than the majority of these people on here and programming and messing with phones and phreaking and making games and designing digital media. Just because I make a mistake a few times when saying a name doesn't mean I know nothing.
Honestly I cant bleieve I cared enough of what you say to write that much, but yeah, just making a point across that I am far from dumb with tech toys and just making this for advertisment. I am making this because I love video editing, i love tech, i love teaching and plus I love letting future clients hear music or what not...
Now for everyone else:
I have no signal in my studio (i know it sucks) And I didn't overclock it at all when doing the demo, it was straight rom from Faria. Faria and I are not friends per say, I just know him from this forum and thats it, and dont know him that well. BUT.. Faria, let me know if you ever want some free graphic design work for some future splash screens or something. I always got you man!
Sorry that some of you cant hear me. I will surly take that into account for the future installments of these things. I really didn't think that 50% was on the mobile shell... really it wasn't and everytime I used it, i mentioned that it was just mobile shell.. Also, really there aren't THAT many very obvious features to wm6 but alot of good coding under the hood so I tried to show what I can that I felt most people would be using.
Thanks for all the feedback though!
I have been using Slide2Unlock on my WM6 Hermes now for a while and have really gotten to like it, so much that I want the iPhone look and feel on my PPC.
I have seen a few around but then seem parts of the full package. Is there one particular one that seems the best all rounder?
I came across this one but haven't tried it yet:-
http://www.ozankilic.com/?p=31
I would like a version that has the iPhone dialler but needs to have the smart dialler functionality so that names come up when I type numbers etc..
I would also like to continue to use Slide2Unlock
Also, I would like the icons on the today screen etc...
Can you please point me in the direction of a good version.
Many Thanks
Mark
Can anyone offer any input into this topic? or pointers to different iPhone themes
Thanks

That looks good but doesn't appear to have the animations etc..
How do you think it compares to http://www.ozankilic.com/?p=31?
have also come across this one but also don't know how it compares to all the others:-

Wisbar Desktop
Check out
www.lakeridgesoftware.com
Its a program called wisbar advance and desktop. They are great programs and will let you design your UI any way you like. If you go to the forum and under skins, search for iphone. You will find people who have done plenty of iphone skins and have uploaded them so others can use them.
Right now there is no way for our phones to handle the transitions that they show the iphone do. It take my phone (Hermes) 5 seconds to do a transition that is fade to black. So until Windows Mobile upgrades the way the run graphics we are out of luck.
For transitions, try iTask. There are actually a bunch out there right now;
Grumps' iPhone App (stable, fast, has animation of icons disappearing one after another when opening app, but no longer being developed)
iFonz (active developer, many features, but kinda slow startup, since it is written fully in .NET)
iTask (written completely in flash, if you can deal with that, it has iPhone-style animations and is fast, not much development lately)
In the end, it's all personal preference. From what I remember, Grumps' iPhone App is the lightest and fastest, but least featured (a straightforward launcher). iFonz aims the most to emulate the iPhone exactly, but iTask is pretty similar, and has built-in apps like Satellite.
This thread seems to be advertising in every post...
Ads on xda?
Good lordy, ban that person!
Anyway, I'm a sucker who goes through iPhone envy every now and then. I've actually tried most of the ones mentioned above, spending WAY too much money for the one using wisbar. To be honest, my favorite was iFonz, which, oddly enough, doesn't cost a dime.

I tried a lot of iphone lookalike tools, but ifonz is far away from beeing the best!
Maybe its the best for you...
Best iClone
So far, Torx's theme has been the best for me. It allowed me the iPhone look, but WAD/WA3 allowed me to customize it even more to suit my preferences.
That's just my 2 cents, which may not even be worth that.

Just what i thought too!
It looks more like something MS could do to quickly put up something against the iPhone, android when they have nothing tangible to show. The best way to retaliate immediately with the best of their capability right now is by making a fancy document!
Will be another vista story in the mobile space i guess....promise a lot and dont deliver much!
If they really had so much cooking, i doubt if HTC would have shifted loyalty towards google...if i was the ceo of htc, i would stick tight with MS! I guess, right now all these are just immediate plans an artist has put together to ensure they stay in the market space!
I'd love to be proved wrong ;o))
The fact is, I will continue to use only an MS based OS with or without the fancy stuff for its own not-needed-explain reasons!
Cheers,
San

I search this software for windows mobile, can you help me please
Tell me when you found it...this a nice app!!
it exists for the iphone but I have not yet found for windows mobile
we need this program STAT!!!!.....I know i'm not the only DJ/producer on here.....
I have an old app that works on WM 6.1 called SSEYO MiniMixa. It was made by Tao Group. The company has been sold to Intermorphic Ltd and they are reworking MiniMixa and re-branding it Mixtikl and you can find info about it here. I read in there blog that they are trying for an October release date.
Link to Mixtikl -> http://www.intermorphic.com/tools/mixtikl/index.html
Be sure and check out the screen shots.
Looks like it could blow the lid off Beat Maker. Guess we'll see.

Personally, I think this is the best audio/midi sequencer for the ppc.
PM me If you'd like lepsyfou. I have a special link to that software
Anything else out there that is more current? Mixtikl seems to be in Beta at the moment and the other programs are clearly on there last legs or lack a true VGA skin.
This seems to be where new Winmo devices should shine outside of the capacitive touch and screen size of the IP.. That Iphone is churning out some cool tools, but the hardware is approaching its limits where our phones have room to grow (tabbed programs, RAM, memory, storage)...
I'm gonna throw my 2 cents in for what it's worth...

Syntrax: http://www.finished.nl/
Neither one of them are great, that's why I'm looking for something better. If you have anything let me know too! =)
Hi everyone xx
I've been lurking on the forum for a couple of weeks now and slowly getting the hang of things however I have a few questions.
I have an XDA Zest and I'm just confused of all the abbreviations and jargon on here that I'm not sure what apps and mods I can use.
I've figured out I can only go for things that are VGA and compatible with WM, but other than that I just feel stupid
I am quite techie minded and do learn quickly and have managed to do little things on my phone but 3 questions off the top of my head.
Can someone recommend a free MP3/media player for my phone, WMP is pants and has no way to set the bass or anything. Putting the word music into the search here brings up loads! I tried one called flip or something like that that was Iphone-ish but that was on a trial and I wasn't that keen on it.
I love changing themes on my phone but on this handset it just seems like such a minefield. I saw a lovely HTC high gloss one (I think) and I was just baffled by it all. Is there a dummies guide somewhere?
Also, I am constantly hitting the send or menu button when writing a text, is there an easy way to move these buttons?
Many thanks xx
Media player, there's two spring to mind, S2P and TCPMP. Search and ye shall find.
Many thanks. I had a look at TCPMP earlier but the site I was on said it was discontinued and now being charged for, I think I might have found the correct one.
Afterthought/ Maybe not, it keeps saying I have to send the crash.txt to the developers. After a search on here it seems it was a common thing, I'll carry on looking.
EDIT: I've got it working, I found a different CAB file someone posted and that one works!
at least you used the search ur in minority there
lol
Unfortunately the Zest is not an HTC phone, so you will not find any support for it here. It is Windows Mobile so you can use generic WM apps. The interface I believe is Spb Mobile Shell, so you can search for tweaks for that.

Yes I did realise there wouldn't be much support but I have found so much information on here as it is and little bits and bats. I found a fab SIP on here last night which I love. I'm just not sure as to what I can and can't use, is it just basically check its VGA and WM compatible and some trial and error?
