Well it's been a long while since the youtube app has worked on my phone. randomly plays videos, mostly doesn't. I know a lot of people have complained.. Well it seems that the youtube apps work in 2.0/2.1. Just wondering if anyone has tried installing those apps on 1.5? Will it work? Would love to have a working youtube app again until we get a fully working 2.1.
I would like to know this as well.
Try it! It probably won't, as I would imagine the newer apks designed for 2.0+ have dependancy for things we don't have in 1.5... but who knows.
All you have to do is download any 2.0/2.1 rom, pull the Youtube apk, load it onto your sdcard, then use a file manager to open and install it. If it installs and works, let us know!
Doesn't work..
confirmed. tried Youtube from 1.6 and 2.0 as well. wont install
i remember when there was the OTA update from sprint.. That is when the youtube app started acting up. Wonder if there was a change in the app? I'm just curious if maybe we could get that apk and install it if it's different. It's really annoying not having a working youtube app.
none of those 2.1 apps work on 1.5, even if you get it to install im sure it will barely work

And it works!
Edit: My current setup is a AMOLD dinc, running CM7 with 2.3.3. 16GB msd in to.
Download from market:

Netflix is apparently blocking unsupported devices when you try to login, I uploaded the apk to my xoom to test it and it did not let me login.
I have the app and have not yet been able to get it to load. I just get a black screen.
However, I noted that the details on the market page state it is official for the Incredible running 2.2, and I'm running CM7.
Has anyone else tried with CM7?
Assuming there are indeed compatibility issues, I'm hopeful the devs will find a way to make it work, because I'm not looking forward to going back to stock, but I need Netflix.
(Actually. Right now, I'm thinking about loading up one of the dual-boot options with some stock Froyo. This is worth the effort.)
Edit: The dual-boot option is awesome and all... But then, I tried again in CM7, and I found that I spent a few hours heavily tweaking my phone for nothing but the thrill; the app works, and I was watching Ong Bak 3 in seconds. Since I don't need a Sense rom, I undid the dual-boot configuration.
So. Works on CM7.
Just saw this. Not showing up for me in the market. I assume its a CM7 thing.
Maybe we can find locate an apk.

Just installed! Going to test now! Biggest app missing since switching from iPhone 4!
Sent from my Nexus S using XDA App

Can someone pull the apk please? I know it probably won't work, but I can't wait to try running it on my DX and Xoom!
Installed from the market, but all I get is a black screen for a long time, then an FC...
CM 7.0.3
Just tested and it does stream on CM7.
Works fine for me as well.
CM7.0.3
running CM 7.0.2.1 DINC, and program will shut off right after I try to log in
If somebody could post the APK, Thunderbolt folks would be grateful. I know it is blocking unsupported devices, but our devs want to take a crack at it. Thanks!
I am on CM Nightlies and it doesn't work. Considering a move to 7.0.0.3 just for netflix.
Works for me on CM and my DInc
Here's the apk
Working on my DX!!!
I'm streaming Law and Order right now!
Greatest.
Day.
Ever.
(until it stops working again like last time hopefully not)
Xoom trial coming soon.....!!

Im getting the exact same thing on latest CM7 nightly
Running stock (rooted) 2.2 and mine force closes immediately after trying to launch the app. Somebody mentioned something about Flash 10.3 so I updated and still get force close. Any ideas?
Not sure if this info helps, but it works fine on mine:
CyanogenMod-7-04172011-NIGHTLY-Inc
[email protected] #1
Sorry, I'm not sure how that converts to the actual nightly number, but its what I was able to gleen out of the Rom Manager.
Has anyone got any version of Skype working on CM7 or Deck's ROM ?
I have had zero success with any of the current apk's floating around, or even the official app.
Not keen on going to stock just for Skype.
Yep, got skype working just fine on both of my phones... video works to. All I did was install the apk from market
Hey everyone!
I just wanted everyone to know that Onlive Desktop does fully work on my Kindle Fire.
My KF is running CM9 but it works flawlessly. I was completely unable to find it in the market through the KF, but able to locate it in the browser. Could not install it through the browser either.
I simply downloaded the apk from another thread in another section of xda and installed from that.
I have attached the file below so that you may all try it out. Please let me know if it works on your particular configurations and whatnot.
C-ryan
I'll let you know. I'm rooted but not using any special ROMS.
Hi It should work on All Devices running 2.3 or higher with LCD density at 100 or 120, maybe in the 120s, It bypasses the hardware restriction. Have Fun with Gigabit internet.!
I'm running CM9 too, and I must admit I'm totally amazed how good it works... Thanks
Sent from my Amazon Kindle Fire using Tapatalk
Yeah, been using it for a few days now. Love it!
Works awesome, thank you!
Works great.
Nice
I have a reasonably virgin kindle fire with just a few apps. How do I get this going? Do I side load the file from a PC, and then how do I activate/install? I saw this demo'd and it sure beats alwaysonpc, I think.
Thanks...

Is your kindle rooted? You most likely have to root your KF first to side load apps.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1534393
On a side note the app works good on my stock rooted KF.
You can side-load apps without rooting. Unless Amazon removed that feature in an update while I wasn't watching.
just hangs on cm7
any ideas?
I really need this
Works for me, rooted stock ROM. Reminds me a lot of my windows slate.
I'm running unrooted 6.2.2 and OnLive is flawless. Super smooth performance and great functionality.
Works great also on my Kindle - CM9
Thanks!
Awesome, works wonderfully on my KF running CM7.
works great on a non-rooted KF, stock rom that's up to date. Thanks!
How to use /set /have /put Onlive Desktop on ANY SMARTPHONE OR TABLET!!!
How to use /set /have /put Onlive Desktop on ANY SMARTPHONE OR TABLET!!!
Simple trick to bypass 7 inch protection and use this cool app on any device...
If you dont have app download latest version with black market alpha
http://www.mediafire.com/?hgdljhid6kvomke
Just download from google play lcd resolution - ///must have root and busybox///
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.wemobs.android.lcdresolution&hl=sr
Set density around 100 – 160 and Onlive Desktop will probably work... - Tryed on Galaxy Note and density 160... (lowest possible...) and it worked
Only bad thing it wont probably be full screen, so fell free to try different resolutions, and maybe you set full screen
Hope i helped! If you have any question or better idea fill free to say
Does anyone have a working version (i.e. 2.1.5) of BlueKeyboard JP.apk for the EVO? I've been trying to figure out a way to enable HID-protocol over Bluetooth without having to flash Cyanogen. The current version through the Play Store isn't available to download. Would there be any other way to use my Apple Wireless Keyboard with my Evo?
Currently Running SOS | N 2.0.9.7 with the Underworld Sense Kernel v0.8.
