[rom/kernel]*d.i.l.l.i.g.a.f* v2.0-rom/kernel 4/4/11 OC 1.8ghz/UV - HTC Inspire 4G

Finally got these finished and running stable and fast. Im gonna call this a 'beta' for now only cause its my first release with this phone, but after running this rom a kernel for a few days, i have encountered no issues at all. Both are inspire based, and the kernel is built from inspire source. Since this is first release, this will wipe all data, so back your apps up with titanium backup if you want, it comes with this rom, so you can reinstall everything soon as its done flashing.
Remember, this is only v.01, and it WILL get better and faster as time goes on.(its already pretty fast though)-
coming soon-
no sense version- new thread for that version
more kernel tweaks
clockwork flashable zips for stock animations, stock fonts, and possible gps fix for the few with problems that was posted in here are attached to this post..-ANY FRAMEWORK MODS NOT COMPATIBLE WITH V2 YET
Flash this through clockwork recovery after your phone is rooted.
1.0+ wont wipe data, if your coming from a different rom, its recommended you flash the full-wipe.zip to avoid any issues
note if you want to flash a new kernel-
not all kernels are compatible with fugu mods(credit to nikademus-i9000 forum for the initial find)- ask your kernel dev if the kernel is compiled with config_oabi_compat. if its not, it could cause issues and youll lose your bootanimation. FWIW, it will boot without that config, but its recommended for full compatibility)
DO NOT RESTORE ANY /SYSTEM STUFF FROM TITANIUM BACKUP-IT WILL CAUSE ISSUES
DOWNLOAD-will not wipe /data
v2.0 w/ di11pickle kernel(fugu tweak compatible)-

2.0.1 changelog-
-browser fix
Optional EXT2 kernel-(flash in recovery AFTER the rom)-

v2.0 rom changelog-
-power control in notification bar-customizable toggles and color(wifi toggle, gps toggle, etc)
-fugu tweaks- some important gingerbread binary files to increase smoothness
-new theme - blue gen x-(d3stroy from i9000)
-removed browser 4 tab limit
-added sys ro,rw- easily mount as ro or rw(ill explain more tomorrow)
-updated setcpu(hopefully help with that issue)
-added spare parts- i suggest setting both animation speeds to fast(makes my default animations look a lot better)
-added apk to customize the power control mod
-probably more that im forgetting, but i have to be up in 3 hours.
v2 kernel changelog-
-added compatibility with fugu tweaks
-upped default clock speed to 1036mhz(almost stock-still OCable to 1804)
-made some small tweaks that should help a little
-made lowmemory killer minfree settings more aggressive for more free ram(good settings for sense)
-modified some file system mount options for speed
-probably some more that i forgot(will be adding/changing a lot in next kernel update)
v1.0 rom changelog-
hopefully helped data/gps problems
-changed some stuff in build.prop
-new gps.conf
-libsqlite i/o patch
-setCPU now included in /data
-new apn list
-sound improvements
-huge kernel improvements
v1 kernel changelog-
-overclockable to 1.8ghz
-undervolted by default
-customizable undervolt settings by changing vdd table
-20% increase in speaker volumes
-small gpu improvements
-5% faster scaling
-optimized compiler flags--O3 -mcpu=cortex-a8 -mfpu=neon -mfloat-abi=softfp
probably more that im forgetting
kernel source will be put on my git soon
Rom features-
-based on stock Inspire 4g firmware
-framework and apps fully deodexed, zipaligned and optimized
-extended power menu(reboot, recovery, bootloader, hot restart, hibernate, etc)
-accurate % circle battery (matches everything)
-custom window animations
-removed all bloat
-added AOSP filemanager(install apps from SD card before signing in to market)
-newest flash player 10.2 pre-installed
-install non-market apps (check box to enable in settings)
-HSUPA
-increased wifi scan time to 2 minutes for increased battery
-rooted, SU, busybox + sqlite
-lightly themed
-nice default wallpaper
-evo black bar mod
-custom font(clean and clear)
-automatic add blocking
-big apn list
-simple, clean bootanimation + shutdown animations
-init.d(run scripts at start)
-all new, non-zipaligned apps in /data will zipalign at boot
-no h+ data icon- h+ icon is now just matching green H(a white H would be equivalent to when your phone is just showing h, not h+)so
green H=H+ connected
white H=H connected
Kernel featrues-(2 versions)
included version-
-built from inspire source
-disabled a bunch of kernel debug stuff(less kernel overhead,=faster, more battery efficient
-init.d enabled
-compilation optimizations
-default shed.=noop(better for non-spinning disks)
-ro.secure=0----=adb run as root
(overclock/undervolt + more optimizations coming soon)
optional version-
all of the above+
-/data and /cache will mount as EXT2 instead of EXT3.
EXT2 is faster, and should be a little battery efficient. Stock configuration is EXT3, data-ordered(not data-journaled). ext 2 is a more simple file system with no journal, and was the default linux file system for a looooong time.
disclaimer- this is a very minute, and maybe even non-existant possibility-
in the case of sudded power loss(battery pull), there is a chance you could lose data, or data becoming corrupt(if you were in the middle of writing to /data). I did MANY tests of different scenarios while pulling the battery out of the phone. I lost nothing and had absolutely no problems. I did this many times, and this is the kernel ive been using for the last week or so, and its been 100% stable and fast. quadrant is around 2200 with no OC. If for some crazy reason there is some kind of data loss, its not a huge deal, worst case would be a wipe data/factory reset from clockwork or reflash.
i will be updating both of these with different things, and probably have some
test builds as well.
If you dont want the window animations, turn them off in display settings, i will also have a flashable zip up tomorrow with the stock window animations.
To tether, search for the apn you need, its in the inspire forum somewhere. If anything is missing that you want back, let me know ill make a .zip
(eg, the ereader default books are gone, stock font, etc)

Wow you really outdid yourself with this. Its beautiful, smooth, fast and has all the right touches.Gonna flash the optional kernel tomorrow night after Ive had a full cycle on this one.
And Im so happy to have the black google search back. Its almost invisible with the right background.

had your captivate rom and it was awesome, as soon as i saw this i had to flash it lol looks good!

Downloading now!
As you can see below on my signature, I still run one of your roms in one of my Captivate's that can't be beat!
Cant wait to try this one out.
A couple of questions:
What radio do you reccommend for use with the rom. I did not see it listed. Sorry if I missed it no coffee yet!
Has any audio boost been implemented? Or can it?
Call record was awesome on the Captivate, will it work on the Inspire? Can we just flash the old one in?
Glad your rom is in the mix!
Thanks.......

Alright I couldnt resist.I flashed the ext2 kernel.Definitely seems a bit zippier.

Downloading now. Loved your Captivate work.

Running with the optional kernel and all not a hitch so far. I will let you know how it goes. If anything like the othgers you have done it will be a winner!
Is there a reason Development does not default to on?

I just use the stock radio, haven't tried any others so I can't really say. Stock has been fine for me though. I haven't changed anything related to sound in kernel, but its been ok for me, actually pretty loud. If you guys flash and feel it needs a boost, just let me know and ill try to get it into the next version. Call recording I almost guarantee will not work straight from the captivated due to the lib audio files, which will most likely cause a boot loop. I'll look into it and see if I can get something similar forth inspire, it'll just be A LOT harder than the captivated; probably has to be built from scratch. But, going through some of the files deep in the Rom I saw some code or something about call recording(I can't remember where, but I only decompiled a few framework files so I have a general idea. I'll see if I can find it and see what its about.

Do you mean debugging? If so, its just cause its the stock settings, and that's what out defaults to. I can easily change that in next version.
Thanks for the feedback guys.

Looks awesome, So glad we now have a 3rd option for Inspire base rom. The Inspire roms run much smoother IMO. Your Captivate roms were the shizzle, I have high expectations for this in the future and I'm sure you will deliver
We appreciate your hard work! Im going to flash this soon
EDIT: quick suggestion im going to throw out there, maybe you should name your rom? Give it a fresh name it will draw more viewers scanning the Development section
Just a thought throw it back my way if you don't like it. Also remember to put [ROM] in the title, i almost missed it scanning for roms

Earpiece is fine but speakerphone is still lower than I would like. The only one I have found the speaker phone is good is Rev b2
This is very very smooth so I will keep it on for a while to keep testing.
Anyone have a cure for the low speakerphone. Already tried the posted fixes....

Yes I just noticed on most of the other roms it is defaulted to the ON and this one was off. No issue at all. The volume on the speakerphone seems to be an issue for everyone as far as I can see. If you have a solution to that I am sure the world would be grateful! Thanks!.......

I was just on the speaker phone and it sounded fine to me. I'm using the m3 radio don't know if that matters.

OK i just in stalled this on my phone and its perfect so far. I have been using it for like 5 min now and absolutely love it. I know its to soon to be saying this but i had to post how nice this rom is so far.

RETIRED!
Hey again guys. Good news and bad news.
Bad News:
I will not be releasing Chromatic ROMs in the near future. I have way too much going on in my personal and professional life right now, to be haxxin on ROMs.
Good News:
The Biff Mod Squad is still developing BiffMOD and it is currently on V 2.1 which is based on CM 6.1 Froyo 2.2.1 (latest) ANNNND even better news! Sisterchick has created a Chromatic theme for it, so you can still enjoy the Chromatic flavor!
Originally BiffMOD was the exact same thing as Chromatic so you guys will be in good hands with those folks. Go check it out, the Chromatic Theme should be up tomorrow (11-10)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=745478

FLASH THIS BEFORE THE ROM AND AFTER YOUR BACKUP IT WILL WIPE SYSTEM, CACHE, AND DATA!!!
http://chromatic.r00t.la/Releases/wipedatacachesystem.zip
Out of respect for the dev, I have removed SetCPU; this will also help with some of the update woes people have been having, he offers it up free on his XDA page. 2.0 is out and it is SLICK!
Download latest version here: http://chromatic.r00t.la/
Known Issues
[*]XML Import and Export is not working on versions prior to 4.3 ITS FIXED!!!(CMParts)
[+] For the time being right click and save the file here on your computer, and then go into the UI tweaks under Settings>CMParts on your phone, and fill in the corresponding parts as listed on the xml file
[*] Sometimes Market can go wonky and get hung up on downloads
[+] Fix for this is to first check your downloads page as Froyo can restore your apps so it may already be downloading the same app your trying to install, or it may just be processing hard trying to restore all of your "known" apps. Just let it work through those restores, it may max out your internal memory and fail a bunch of them, thats ok just let it do its thing. Then re-boot and try again.
[+] Next, if you are still having trouble, Go to Settings>Applications>Manage Applications>All> Market, And clear cache, Clear Data, Force Stop; Then hit back and go to Market Updater and do the same. Re-boot, and then re-try your install. Still doesn't work? Then something is broken, wipe and re-flash.
Battery Issues?
[+] Let the phone die till it turns off
[+] Plug it in
[+] Boot into recovery
[+] Wipe battery stats
[+] Let batter charge for 8+ hours, this is good conditioning for you battery as well!
~POST BOOT SETUP~
Setup
Don't allow Google to collect anonymous data; It makes your GPS run all the time.
Un-Check Back up my data to Google
LET IT SYNC! Its going to do all kinds of stuff like restoring apps etc. just let it chill for a while, go into market and watch the downloads tab once the sync icon disappears! Seriously, leave it alone, go hang out, or setup your settings but leave apps alone!
If you get into a loop with the setup wizard on first boot, just hit home key after you log in once.
CM Settings
Go to: Settings>CyanogenMod Settings
Application settings> Check Allow application moving (DO NOT CHANGE INSTALL LOCATION FROM AUTOMATIC, IT WILL CAUSE ISSUES WITH APPS2EXT)
Input Settings>Lockscreen music controls are awesome thanks kmobs!, Menu unlock settings are in here as well.
Performance Settings> Seriously Dragons...you should only touch Lock Home in Memory (which everyone should turn on!) if you want us to support you in the threads Other stuff is functional, but experimental!
UI Settings> See Known issues section for instructions on setting this up easily Setting most things to white or grey will result in fine looks. You need not mess with Notification bar submenu under >Notifications colors
Spare Parts Setup
Go to: Settings>Spare parts
Window animations: Fast
Transition animations: Fast
Remember (as with all CM based ROMS) you will need to change the text color for your clock and notifications via Settings>spare parts. It will be black on black when you boot.
See Known issues list for workaround!
Right click and save as xml to the root of your SD card
Go into Settings>CM Settings>User Interface>Tweaks Extra, and scroll all the way down, click "Import colors from XML"
Reboot to apply changes
SetCPU Setup
Download from here give coolbho3000 some love 2.X is AMAZING!
Recommended Settings
Max 576MHz
Min 245/128
Scaling ALWAYS on demand
If you have reboots, scale it back!
Setup Profiles for charging and sleeping:
Max: 528
Min: 245
ADW Suggestions
Go into Settings>ADW Settings
Change "Desktop scrolling speed" value to 0-177. (0 is what I use and is silly fast!)
Desktop Overshoot set to "50"
I also recommend Under UI settings:
Checking, Closing dockbar
Checking, Tint AB
Checking, Hide AllApps Bg
Checking, Hide AB Bg
Checking, Hide Icon labels
Highlight Press Color: FF000000
Highlight Focus Color: FF696969
Un-Check, Scrollable widget support (unless you are using some of the new scrollable widgets like what the Pure line is doing)
Get in there play around!!!
If you do have problems wipe and try again
I put a lot into this ROM I hope everyone likes it!!!
Based on CM 6 (Nightly 8-08) (Thanks to Cyanogen and his team of oh so amazing, self proclaimed douches!)

It's important to know that the "DangerSPL" (or DeathSPL or Haykuro's SPL or whatever you prefer) is a prerequisite for Dream/G1 users. Magic (MT3G etc) users do *not* need to do this. Ciwrl has written a guide to installing this bootloader. Flashing this bootloader under the wrong conditions can actually brick your device, so pay attention to the guide. CM releases have always avoided this requirement, but the new bootloader frees up enough space so that no crazy hacks are required for a fully functional system.
INSTRUCTIONS:
HTML:
- First time flashing a CM-5 based rom?
1. Root your device and install Amon_RA's recovery (Dream / Magic)
2. Do a Nandroid backup!
3. Install the DangerSPL if you don't already have it
4. WIPE (I cannot guarantee an upgrade from CM-4.2 to this CM-5 based ROM will work- Titanium Backup may be of help)
5. Install the ROM
- Upgrading?
1. Do a Nandroid Backup!
2. Install the ROM
If it is lagging or feeling laggy go into SETCPU chances are the max is set to something stupid low for some reason so it makes this ROM feel like crap.
~if you have problems I recommend a full wipe
1.Wipe>Wipe Data Factory Reset
2.Wipe> Clear dalvik Cache
3.Wipe> Wipe EXT partition
4.Wipe> Battery stats
4. Partition Sd Card> Repair EXT partition
5. Flash zip

ScreenShots coming soon!
From reading the info posted here, it sounds like just a theme.
I think you should post this in the Android Themes section with flashable zip files that change the theme instead. I wouldn't really consider this a new "rom" or anything, it hardly has to do with the development section. It's just CM with a bit of a twist.

Gonna try this now

There is also some changes to the system itself, swap, jit, etc. So I think I will keep it right here.
it goes back to the boot screen when i plug the usb to my computer
WORKS GREAT!!!
i would say faster and safer then the original cm!
thank you so much
now, the only thing i need to add is a white theme (for my white magic^^) :>

This is something with CM 5.0.7, I have seen it happening on all variants of the ROM. I just mount SD in recovery to avoid it being goofy.

It is a themed rom that has been modded... so it is in the right place.
so basically it is:
CM 5.0.7 T3
+ Gapps
+ Battery Hotfix
+ ADW Launcher
+ Blackbar
right?

Ok initial impressions:
After first boot up wankyness this rom is really smooth!
first boot up wankyness includes Lag slowness market problems etc etc!
Well after a reboot everything works great! I would put it on par speedwise with superbad. This is definitely a keeper! Will see in the coming hours at how stable it stays! Thinking of trying the overclock kernel!

So is this a leak or did the original developer just add sense to 2.2?
I love you.
Booted and running. First, it does not flash with clockwork. Second, some apps aren't in the market including tapatalk which I paid for. Boot animation kicks ass. And first boot wasn't really that long. Testing is needed. and I miss my close button on the HTC keyboard. But wow. Sense and froyo and working front cam. Nice!

Hmm it flashed just fine for me with clockwork this is great I just wish HTC would have revamped sense a little please don't forget about aosp froyo still like it better sense just isn't for me but im gonna run this all day today put it through its paces and ill report bag with any findingsg
O yea get a froyo version of HTC IME mod and turn off the smiley hack and yall have your close button back
I think it is the newest clockwork that gives me problems. Update script errors. Anyway quadrant score isn't great. I imagine that is due to sense. The Epson and ffolkes 4.2 kernels don't work. Either way I am happy to have froyo. Thanks ava!
It appears to be using an older version of market looks just like 2.1 market
Nvm its the 2.2 market just looks slightly different
Niiiiiiice! Once the camera is 100% im in! Awesome work!!
A simple Thank you.
Just wanted to say thank you for all the hard work( the whole 8 hours).
Result from 7 hours of playing with this.
some issue.
1) no voicemail apps( can easily fix by install sprint vm or use google voice)
2) no led notification.
3) EVDO takes a little long to show up after a reboot. ( above 3 minutes for me for some reason.)
4) think this is with froyo, have to manually setup Yahoo email account while setting up email.
5) still no camera but hey at least I can do front self portrait and video chat(yay).
great Rom over all. battery life is pretty good. 4 hours and I just go down 8% which if using normal HTC would drained me down to around 60%.
Thanks!
Thank you very much!!!! Will give this a run right now!
Great job and thank you very much for the hard work. I haven question, I just flashed the Undervolted kernel v5.1.1 for use with 2.1 (Eclair) over fresh Rom and now I want to try this room, so what should I do next? Flash a stock kernel (where can I find it) before flashing this Rom or just flash this Rom over my current kernel? Thank you very much
So is this a leak or did the original developer just add sense to 2.2?

[ROM-AOSP][12-6-10] Evervolv-AOSP|FRG83/Android 2.2.1|v0.4.2b|Rotary Lockscreen!

Alright guys, I told you I was working on a new rom. I'm happy to finally release an Android Open Source Project (AOSP) based rom. I've teamed up with Bcnice20, I'm sure ya'all know him from working on the MIUI port for the Evo. The two of us are going to be maintaining and updating this ROM.
First lets start off with....
Acknowledgements
First of all this would have not been possible without the Cyanogen Mod team. They're hard work made compiling this possible, also some of the basic fixes to the AOSP source for the Evo.

There's been quite a few people that I've peeked on their github just to learn a few things here and there. Whether I've used any of their code or not, I'd like to acknowledge them at the very least for giving us some insight into Java/Android. Those include...

Changelog...
v0.4.2b
Fixed lockscreen switching issue with phone. *me - this is a workaround that just kills the phone process so it has to reload.
Made Launcher dynamically load icons for each hotseat, instead of preset drawables. *me
Changed Launcher layout to something a little better looking. This is still a huge work in progress, trying to set it up for a highly customizable launcher.
Changed a few other minor things to get this thing building for the Droid Incredible. All versions will reflect the same, except most inc roms will be alpha's.
Changed/Added default wallpaper to an Evervolv Wallpaper. * thanks a lot to wrx4memp
v0.4.1
Fixed Bluetooth.
v0.4
Added option for rotary dial lockscreen *Kmobs
Added rotary dial call answer screen (enabled when rotary lockscreen is, Still buggy.... a reboot is required when changing or it will FC when a call comes in.)*Coded by me with the help of Kmobs original lockscreen mod.
Started more customizable options (non-functional right now) *me
Added CM's reboot option temporarily. I really want to make this look unique so it will change soon enough. *CM team
Changed string for reboot in the Phone Options menu to say "Reboot Options" *me
Added CM's Phone and Contacts in an effort to get Facebook contacts to sync... Still working on this guys. *CM team
Added menu icons for Launcher menu. *Google Images is my friend! Credit to the unknown authors.
Made expanded notification bar background transparent. *me
Did some fixing in the Boot.img / Ramdisk. *me
Found a missing jar that was suppose to be included with the GAPPS (com.google.android.maps.jar). Not sure why this wasn't but it is now! *me
v0.3
Changed to Launcher2 *Google
New UI for Launcher - This is in the development stages, many of the UI elements are not as they should be. i.e icons *Coded by me
Added EVParts - Settings app for some of the settings that I will be making User-Customizable. This is based off of googles Spare Parts app. Also in development stage (can be accessed in Settings > Evervolv Settings. * Thanks google.
Made the lockscreen carrier caption User-Customizable. (Settings > Evervolv Settings > Lockscreen Settings) *Coded by me.
Changed Settings icons to some that look a lot more appealing! * Google is your friend to find small images! Found all these from random sites.
v0.2
Changed battery icon to AOSP, w/ percentage.
Changed order of Settings to be a little more aesthetically pleasing.
Added item under "About Phone" settings to show Rom Version.
Issues/Workarounds
Apps2SD/Dalvik2SD Workaround
Download a terminal emulator or Use ADB Shell to administer these commands
Code:
a2sd reinstall (it will run and then want to reboot)
a2sd cachesd (again it will want to reboot)
a2sd check (this will tell you if it worked correctly)
Sorry if im vague in this. Wrote this real quick with the wife nagging in the background.

I'm actually going to go to an AOSP looking one with percentage. I put that in there because I liked it... awaiting a different theme. I'll put an update out tomorrow or the next.
Also, any update will most likely be a FULL update, unless its just to patch an error or something. When compiling from source.... the resource ID's (strings, arrays, drawables, etc...) are created at the time of compiling. So if theres any changes to these, all the files that reference them will need to be replaced. Unfortunately any themes from CM most likely wont work for this rom either. Unless you were to replace only the images in the framework-res.apk.

really nice looking rom, do you think the snap turbo kernel will work with this?
This is just my 2cents, but just keep it simple the way it is. If anything make performance tweaks and whatever you can add/do to help the battery consumption. Remove anything that's not necessary to boot up the system and run it, if we want something extra we can always download it and add it to it. Looking for the donate...
Thanks

Deodexted? I assume so, since you mentioned a theme but it does not specify anywhere. Just curious. I wanna flash the stock fonts. Im eager to try this ROM.
Nice to see some more AOSP ROMs on the Forums. Before the next MIUI Update i'll be sure to try this out.
I'm really suprised that this rom is not getting more attention, ITS AMAZING!! Very fast and very stable so far since I have been using it. My only complaint is that damn battery icon, just cant get used to it . Anyways I've used this rom with netarchy univ, zendroid, and kings kernels and they all work great!! Kings gives me great battery life with your rom and so far is the best aosp for batter life in my case. Also get some good quadrant numbers with zen's. Anyways awesome rom and I cant wait to see how you improve it

0.2 is UP!
Evervolv-AOSP v0.2 is UP! You should be able to flash this on top of v0.1, however wipe cache and dalvik to make sure. If it boot loops, do a full wipe.
0.2

Changed order of Settings to be a little more aesthetically pleasing.
Added item under "About Phone" settings to show Rom Version.

[ROM][UCLA3]Buoyancy v1.4.0||Rogers/AT&T||[3/7/12]

First things first, this is a work-in-progress guys. I know there are multiple things that need to be modified, improved, added, or fixed, and I'm hard at work trying to get to all of them.
Buoyancy is based off the latest UCLA3 update, which seems to be performing faster than the previous firmware in terms of both data and regular speed.

How The Release System Will Work
As of right now I've decided to go with the 3 digit release system. This is how it will work. The first digit of the release, e.g. the 1 in buoyancy 1.0.0, represents the overall version of Buoyancy. Any changes made to this will be very major. The second digit represents the stable build number of that version. Any changes made to this will be made carefully, but will probably not be earth-shattering. Finally, the third digit is for builds that may be unstable but have new features I may add to the next stable release. I'll try to update the third digit every 3-4 days. The other digits will be updated when I feel the stability of the rom has increased.
Theming
Want to theme Buoyancy? Go here to edit the ROM options to your liking. Remember, if you create a super-awesome theme, be sure to send it my way so I can post it and take all the cred-- I mean let the community use it.
Porting
The following is my current progress on porting the Buoyancy to this Potato. I'm expecting great success; I'm fairly certain Potatoes float.
Code:
Variants: Mashed, Sweet, Russet, Mr. Potato Head.
Radio: If you stick some antennas into it that might work.
Power Source: Self-Sustainable
Storage: 2 bits: One peel, one inside.
Multitouch: Two fingers needed for proper peeling.
Drivers: As far as I know, potatoes make terrible drivers. Mostly due to the lack of current arm/hand/finger hierarchy support.
GPU: General Potato Unit. Capable of recreating images of Jesus on the skin.
Some Comments/Disclaimers/FAQ's/Important Things (Please Read)
Personal Thoughts: This is only my second rom I've published (the first on the cappy), but I must say that I'm pretty happy with the way it's turning out.
AT&T vs. Rogers: For 1.1.0+ I have decided to merge the two builds into one. If anyone on Roger's experiences problems with the new builds, please let me know.
Bravia Engine: While I did include the Bravia Engine port into this mod, it's difficult to test whether or not it is actually there besides just subjective screen observation. However, you need to trust me on this, it does help with video playback and picture quality.
Extended Power Menu: Added.
Swype: Woot, woot, working Swype!.
SOD: Not an issue! Plus, OC has returned!
Throttling: If you do end up getting throttled, I have confirmed that this method does in fact work with both versions of Buoyancy.
GPS Fix: I Would include the GPS fix, but it always seems to tell me I'm in Nevada. This would be okay if I was a resident of the Silver State, but unfortunately I'm not.
Kernels: As of right now I feel that Faux's kernel provides a good balance of speed and stability, and I'll probably be sticking to it for builds in the near future. However, if Da_g does in fact come out with an update to fix the SOD, then I'll return back to his, simply because it is wicked-fast.
OMG VIRUS WHEN DOWNLOAD HAXXXXXXX: Not to worry, I'm not actually trying to give you a trojan, I promise. The same notification people have been having when they attempt to download Buoyancy has happened to a lot of friends of mine when they try to download rooty things like SuperOneClick or a ROM. My best guess is that it has to do with Superuser privileges+an overactive anti-virus system. If you want to read more, go here
Yahoo Finance Force Closings: If you perform the "fix permissions" option in cwm this issue should resolve.
BLN For MMS: Alright, alright, I know that BLN is not currently working with the stock MMS.apk right now, but the problem is, the MMS.apk that BLN does work for FC's upon entering its settings. So please be patient while I try to work out one of these kinks.
Announcements (Also In Red Because It's Important)
Currently testing PDroid.
May try the new ICS Camera.apk that's been floating around recently.
Still working on that BLN Text Messaging
Current ICS Launcher is a Lil' Glitchy. You have been warned.
Yes, I'm sorry, 1.3.1 is a full-wipe version. But I have my reasons. For one, this is going to be the last build of Buoyancy for a little while since I'm going to try and focus my attention on ICS. The other is that I kept getting bootloops with a non-wipe version, which angered me into submission.
Updating to UCLA base in 1.4.0.

Buoyancy is based off Bonestocketeer, created by playin4sheezy. Major thanks to him and all his hard work. Note:This ROM will wipe your data automatically, so no need to do it through cwm. However, it won't hurt if you do. Future non-major releases of Buoyancy will be updates and not require a data wipe.

Personal Thoughts: This is my second rom I've created (the first on the cappy), and I've only actually had the Skyrocket for about two weeks, but I must say that I'm pretty happy with the way this first build turned out.
AT&T vs. Rogers: The only real differences between the two builds is the kernel and the radio... I'm fairly sure the AT&T version can run on Roger's and vice versa.
CRT Animation: There is a CRT Animation Mod out there in the forums right now, but for some reason it does not play well with the BoneStock base. If anyone could isolate the files in the framework-res.apk that are modified so I wouldn't have to tear through every inch of it, I'd be much obliged.
Extended Power Menu: I thought about adding this, but I figured with the 14-toggle mod, it wasn't really needed. As a side-note, with the 14-toggle mod, if you hit reboot it will give you options to reboot into recovery and download as well.
Please note that you are flashing this at your own risk, and I am in no way responsible for bricked phones, bricked cats, bricked bricks, or anything in between that may result from the flashing of this rom. This is a beta. Please be careful, but do enjoy.

Dear OP - Here is the Stock BoneSTOCKeteer framework-res.apk with nothing modified to it besides an XML to activate CRT off. I plan to use this for when i switch to the BoneSTOCK base for my ROM. Hope it is some use to you.

Ah thank god, I've been tearing through the framework-res.apk for the past 2 hours or so trying to find the modified file. You sir, are a great person, and I'll be sure to credit you when Buoyancy 1.0b2 rolls around.
NP , for future reference, the file you need to modify is (must decompile first, apktool) res/values/bools.xml and with notepad++ find "animatescreenlights" and change true to false than save and close and compile, glad to know i helped

Lol, you just helped me, now I know how I can mess with the framework-res.apk and not bork my phone like I did last time!

When it comes to the Launcher, I like HTC Sense, when it comes to Touch wiz, I don't like the Dock. I like the app drawer in the middle...I love Google's stock.
There's launcher2.apk for you from my CM7 source (stock GB launcher). It has speed tweaks to make the app drawer open quicker. push to system/app with root explorer, than make permissions match other apks, oh and OP feel free to use this in your ROM

To be included in 1.0b3, although maybe minus the speed tweak .
Thanks for the update! Much appreciated work, my friend. More people need to know about this ROM

Great ROM! I like the battery icon very much. And the launcher, but over all a great ROM. But i did see one weird thing, and I think you just forgot but the build.prop still says 1.0.0 when it's 1.1.0 xD I just installed and very nice! Just gotta test battery life. But I love it.
The absolute one thing that could make this ROM the best would be a nice theme, and as I read your working on that as we speak. It's just amazing what you dev's can come up with. So, from me and everyone else using dev ROM's, Thanks.
Also, a special thanks to M0D1441, he has helped me personally a lot and he really is a great guy. So hit that Thanks button for both of them! And check out M0D's ROM too, great also. I just prefer a more theme'd look and anti-stock as possible, but I love M0D's black/trans drop down bar.
Two great dev's. That's all I have to say for now. Just keep doing what your doing
P.S. If anyone needs a tester, I'm here. It's the least I can do for all the hard work you guys put into these ROM's.

Yeah, this was my bad, I was pretty tired when I finally finished building 1.1.0, and I figured that 1.1.1 would be arriving shortly (which it is), so I just left it as is. Thanks for the great reply though, it was very nice.
cool looking boot screen, so booting as I type, will report back later after a day or so
after just a few minutes, I find I neede to insall MoreLocale2, so I could get English U.S
after first boot it was a little choppy, but it seems is getting faster and faster
So, for now seems solid and stable for day to day usage
I have a question I'd like to pose... What do you guys think of the addition of Apps2SD in the next build? Good idea, bad idea, and maybe some reasons why. I could really use some feedback on this one.
First off nice theme I've been trying a few out seeing which one will help my battery as I've had some issues, since this is a Rogers theme hopefully it will help me out. One thing I've noticed and I don't know if you did this on purpose but on my lockscreen my battery is all random letters. Doesn't really bother me but just throwing it out there. Looking forward to your update, I'd really like to see the 14 notification toggle and volume keys to wake and I also like the battery

Hmmm... I'm not sure if these things are a Roger's issue because I have 14-toggle mod working fine on my AT&T variant. However, a new version will be out today that includes Faux's new kernel, so perhaps that will fix some of the issues.

[ROM] 2.3.6 Atrix 2 - Lunar Eclipse b2 - 8/8

Lunar Eclipse - BETA 2
So what have we got here? Basically, this is a 2.3.6-based ROM with an ICS-inspired theme and some pretty cool features. Sounds good? Good.
Please note that this ROM is in BETA. This means that I am still working on features, themeing, and there might be minor bugs.
FEATURES:
-Deodexed
-Zipaligned
-ICS-inspired "Eclipse" theme, most/all significant system apps are themed
-Carrier label removed, statusbar clock centered
-1% battery mod and icon
-Heavily debloated
-Modified power menu: reboot, reboot cwm, screenshot (see screenshots)
-Build.prop edits... smoother scrolling, more time in between checking for wifi networks, optimized dalvik vm heapsize, all that good stuff
-Init.d support and scripts! Sql database optimizer, apk zipaligner, and a lot more run at boot (but don't affect boot time)
-Faster read/write speeds on the sdcard
-Misc sysctl tweaks
-Disabled the blur/darken effect when opening the power menu and certain popups to increase smoothness
-Unlock your phone with a swipe or by just pressing the menu softkey!
-"Volume Wake" addon to wakeup your phone using the volume keys (but does not change any previous functions of the volume buttons)
-Operator selection, network selection, etc unlocked
-V6 Supercharger (update 9 RC10) - 1000 HP - fully implemented
-3G/4G Supercharger
-ICS keyboard and camera
-AppWidgetPicker - clear up space in your list of widgets
-Notification toggles - scrollable!
-Battery Bar - a thin bar that runs across the top of you statusbar that represents the current battery level. It is configurable.
-Ad blocking via hosts file
-Busybox installed
-GPS enhancements
-MegaBass volume mod... clearer sound with a nice bass punch, but not as hip-hop as Beats
-ICS transitions (fully implemented)
-ICS "fugu tweaks" - new system_server and app_process that results in overall smoothness and smoother scrolling
-Scrolling cache disabled - even smoother scrolling!
-Very nice "Roboto Light" font. A branch of the Roboto font that seems a bit more suited to mobile devices
-Overclocked/underclocked and overvolted/undervolted different cpu slots to result in potentially better batter life and a smoother experience (top slot overclocked to 1100 MHz). GPU also overclocked.
-Underclocks the CPU/GPU when your phone is locked/sleeping for better battery life, then overclocks when it wakes up
-Sony Bravia Mod - crisper, clearer display
-Some custom ringtones/notifications
-Entitlement check disabled (free wifi+USB tethering)
-Root permissions in adb
-Google Talk, Google Voice, and CM7 DSP Manager included as uninstallable apps
-All apps up-to-date (as of 8/8)
-More stuff I can't think of right now!
HOW TO INSTALL:
NOTE- Do not flash this from ICS! Only flash this if you are on GB.
-Download zip (see bottom of post) and place it on your sd card
-Boot into CWM
-Wipe data/factory reset. This is not necessary but is HIGHLY recommended (even if you're just updating)
-Flash the zip and any incremental updates
-Reboot and wait for a little while
-Insert your google login info or skip
-Choose "Holo Launcher" and set it as default

KNOWN BUGS:
-If you wipe data after flashing, the statusbar will not show up until after you select Holo Launcher as the home launcher. This never reoccurs after the inital setup
-BatteryBar is a little bit glitchy. You might need to just go to the batterybar settings app to enable it at first, then rotate the screen or lock/unlock to get it to show up. Once you set it up it seems to work well even through reboots.
-If you manage to get maybe 7 or 8 different notifications, the notification icons will overlap with the centered clock
-Contacts FC if you press the menu button while viewing a contact. You can still long-press the contact's name to edit it
-This is not a bug but rather a limitation with the V6 SuperCharger. If you wipe /data AFTER flashing the ROM, you must flash the ROM again in order to reactive most of the V6 SuperCharger settings.
NOTES:
-Ad-blocking is enabled via the HOSTS file. This feature can be convenient, but many developers struggle to get find money but release their apps as free with ads because they're just awesome people. If you want to support those devs then you can find apps on the app store that will return your hosts file back to stock. I will upload a flashable zip that can do the same thing... sometime.
-Entitlement check is disabled, but that doesn't mean that AT&T/your carrier can't detect that you are tethering from your phone. I am not responsible for any extra charges you get for bypassing the entitlement check.

Changelog/Addons
CHANGELOG:
Beta 1 (7/21):
Initial release!
Beta 2 (8/8):
Overclock toned down considerably, now much more stable and less battery-sucking
Revamped init.d scripts... fixed a couple minor bugs, removed loopy smoothness tweak, more stable+powerful memory management, etc...
New init.d script that runs in the background... when you lock your A2, the script will underclock a little bit, set the max frequency at 8000 MHz, and tweak the governor settings for optimum battery performance (this does NOT impede any processes that might be running in the background like music streaming or large file downloading).
Touched up the overall theme, changed rotation icon in the quickpanel to be less misleading, and made lockscreen slightly more ICSish
Configurable battery bar! A thin bar at the top of the status bar that represents the current battery percentage. You can configure it with the "Battery Bar Settings" app
Themed just about all significant system apks... dialer, contacts, phone, calculator, etc
Inverted Settings!
Sony Bravia Mod - Crisper, clearer display
Swapped out blur alarm clock and gallery with CM7 apps
Swapped out blur camera and keyboard with ICS camera/keyboard
MegaBass volume mod... clearer sound with a nice bass punch, but not as hip-hop as Beats
Included GTalk, GVoice, and DSP Manager (CM7) as uninstallable apps
Updated all apps that needed updating
Updated su/Superuser, now there isn't as much lag when requesting root permissions
Removed scrolling cache... garbage collector runs WAY too much when scrolling (on GB) and ends up lagging the scrolling considerably. So scrolling should be VERY smooth now
Volume Wake addon is now available
Bootup should be a bit faster now
Probably a little more stuff that I can't remember right now...
Note: Beta 2 will most likely be the last Lunar Eclipse released for GB. As soon as we get the soak I will begin to work on LE for ICS
Beta 2 Update 1 - 8/9
Tweaked overclock settings to be more stable, and tweaked screenstate_scaling script to be MUCH less aggressive which led to random lockups and reboots. It should be much stabler now, sorry for the issues.
ADDONS:
Volume Wake Mod:
Wakes up the device when you press a volume button. Just flash in CWM (wiping cache/dalvik cache is recommended).

I want to flash this. This ROM seems so nice But the size is shown as 53 mb to me too and rar is corrupt.
This is freakin sweet!!!!! Really fast and I like the font. Only thing I had to change, is the UC, for some reason mine doesn't like to be UC'd from 300, if I do, it wont go below slot 2. (This is on all the roms ....not just yours).

I love the little features (like the scrolling toggles, obviously the menu hard key, screenies, etc..- awesome).. Magnificent job, brother!! A perfect ROM for what will probably be the final one released on GB...
